    When playing against someone who AI defends, your attackers will almost always ask for the ball on the obstructed lanes

    The attacking AI has zero sense of spacing, they almost NEVER open up the angles of their run to receive the ball and are always neck and neck next to their marker which makes for easy transitions.

    This is most flagrant when a ST makes a run, where instead of drifting wide and curving it in order to:

    • Beat the offside

    • Make the angle wider for the pass

    They just run in a straight line right into the CB which results in either an obstruction (which is never called in FiFa) or an interception.

    The AI attacking in this game is so brain dead, it's either they don't move at all or make the dumbest runs that end up confusing you more than anything.

    No wonder everyone runs basketball ISO plays with their forwards ( watch ItalianStallion's last YT video) where they just do a gazillion dragback with their STs until something opens up for a shot. Intricate passing plays in the final third is almost impossible when the offensive AI has the footballing IQ of a rock and everybody and their nan is on 4231 Low Depth CDM patrol.

    Summer Heat has highlighted why chemistry needs to be taken out of this game

    It's strange, one of the first arguments you see from people who defend the chemistry system is: "without it, everyone would just use the same players" - but that's happening now!

    I kept track of my WL opponents this week, and faced the following cards 20 or more times:

    • Some version of Mendy
    • TOTS/Moments Ramos
    • Some version of Ter Stegen
    • SH Dembele

    I faced the following cards 15 or more times:

    • SH Firmino
    • SH Fabinho
    • SH Vinicius Jr
    • TOTS Carvajal
    • Moments Militao (would have been more if not for Lenglet SBC)

    Honourable mention to SH Lenglet, who I saw in nearly every game after he was released but I'd already played half my WL by then. I suspect he'll be the most-used CB this weekend.

    Of course, there's nothing wrong with using these cards - I have Ramos and Dembele myself - but it highlights just how important chemistry is and how much it hamstrings people from using a lot of fun cards.

    TOTS midfielders like Paulinho, Renato Sanches, Renato Augusto, Kalvin Phillips and Donny van De Beek among others are all super usable and you'd probably see them in teams if they were easier to link. There's countless attackers and defenders who I feel the same way about. Without icon SBCs to help link these guys, they're sadly not accessible to a lot of players.

    I've always hated the fact that its called 'Ultimate Team' but I can't build MY Ultimate team. Obviously you'd see a lot more of players like Opara, TOTS Johnathan, etc but you would still see people using all the SH cards and I think in general it would give the game a lot more variety.

    Nuanced opinion: Accessible SH SBC's are great!... but we're all running the same team now.

    It is what it is, Vinicius and Ribery are great value, specially with all the fodder we got... it's just a smart move. Same could be said for many other cards...

    That said I faced a ton of Dembele's on the WL, I don't mind, you still have to be decent to score with him, and TBH there wasn't that much variation before SH.

    The stars aligned objective is broken for me. Anyone else? I've just confirmed 3 wins later that none count for this. You need to win 2 games in rivals using 5 players with min 4 star skills. I have Pope, Zlatan, traore, Barnes, and Bruno fernandes.
