Posted: 11 Oct 2020 09:48 AM PDT Twice now Ive joined a game in Div 1 where the other guy is trying to derank, hes paused and left and Ive only gotten the Rivals points for a draw. In previous years this was an annoyance but now it very much affects what rewards I can actually achieve at the end of the week [link] [comments] |

I appreciate the removal of fitness cards Posted: 11 Oct 2020 09:04 AM PDT It has made the saving of coins and the focus of the game better for me. I don't miss them a bit, and I know some are upset as previously, it was used for easy coin-getting. I just feel it has improved the quality of game [link] [comments] |
How to play Anti-meta in Fifa 21 and win games very effectively from a Div 2 player. (18+) Posted: 11 Oct 2020 09:12 PM PDT So I happen to come across all of these formation reviews on this sub, and how everyone explains why their tactics are so pristine and amazing. Here is how to crush their dreams, gentlemen, and ladies? This guide is written by a guy who is pushing into DIV 2 and is 3 wins away from Div 1 with a team that costs less than 250k, ( CSL stars mostly). Mindset: Anti meta is not a formation, its a mindset, get it through your head. There is no Formation that is going to prepare you for this divine mission. You are the guy holding the controller, Now I want you to close your eyes and think about what you hate the most when you see your opponent's squad. You guessed right, you hate the expensive and fast players. Now what I want you to do is to feel angry, grind your teeth. It is very fucking important to be enraged, but I don't want you to be fuming. It is very important to put a lid on your emotions. let the anger fuel you, but don't let it control you. Mental Tactics: First things first, YOU DONT OWN PLAYERS, YOU OWN UNITS. And these units are there to carry your mission. What on god's fucking green earth I mean by this you might ask? I want you to think deeply and extensively about what you are about to read and then choose your players accordingly. Your Goal posts are like your girlfriend's cave of wonders. You are in charge of security. how you do it is not very important, but it's your dignity that is on the line. If you have to get a yellow card but stop a counterattack then by all means go break their fucking legs and spit in their face. If a player is too expensive and still not delivering its duties then fuck him! He is a goner. You pick players that get the job done, DONT GET EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED TO PLAYERS. Formation: 5-2-1-2 (Read carefully) I have tried a wide range of different tactics to make my opponents hate their lives to the point of asking deep philosophical and existential questions while standing on the edge of the rooftop, but nothing comes close to the effectiveness of 5-2-1-2. Why I prefer this formation over the others you might ask? The answer is simple. All these nice looking gents who seem very well-spoken and articulate here, who carefully dissect their formation and tactics, are sweating the Mothereffing out of the through passes this year. These are more than likely the same cutback sweats of last years who are seeking refuge in a new camp. But oh no my tactics are different blah blah, I play possession and fluid football and I asked fucking Bielsa himself and got his blessings. You know these people, they even sell their nans underwear to take the W if it comes to it, so don't really believe all these NEW AND DIFFERENT TACTICS on 21. We got a pest issue gents. and we fumigate that shit with 3 CBS at the back. This way we ensure to not have a leakage at the back. No more through balls for Mbabpe from FC MOM's credit card. we are hardworking blue and white-collar workers and we don't stand against this fuckery. You select Your 3CBS with 70 Pace at Minimum. This way there is less chance that they can cheese you with a through ball and their pacey crooks on a 1v1. Shadow Chem is like a condom, wear it for protection boys. Fullbacks: YOU NEED 83 pace at minimum and decent DEF stats, but make sure that these fullbacks can finish a 1V1 or goal opportunity. This is very important since it will be explained more later. Midfielders: Your both CMs are players who can DEFEND and head the ball well. 68+ Pace is preferred with H/H Workrates. Defense and physicality are more important than pace Imo. Your CAM is the most important GOAL SCORING MACHINE in your team. He is someone rather Tall, Fast, with decent dribbling, and AMAZING SHOOTING. Basically, I just described TALISCA for you lads. Strikers: You need 1 player who is around 88+ pace and can get behind. And another one is someone who can play well working as a False 9. In-game tactics: Although we are playing to win and trying to ruin sweaty players' days, we are not the antichrist. We are NOT playing dropback. It's not because we are nice or anything remotely close to that, I believe dropback is not as good as this year, since outside the box finesse shots are absolutely free real estate. Therefore if you leave a huge gap behind your CMs and CBs then you are asking to be molested. So be wise, and play PRESSURE ON HEAVY TOUCH. Do not use pressure after possession loss since your players will be out of place. Width: Since the most broken aspect of this game is the through balls as we mentioned briefly, we play with 3-4 width. Don't worry even with 3-4 width you still cover all the pitch at the back since you got LWB AND RWB, and with tight width, no ball is going to leak, unless EA SPORTS feels like a rebound has to go on a specific unmarked disgusting Mane, at that point you know all you need is opening lightning rounds of packs to be in good terms. Depth: 5-6, Do not put it very low since you will leave a gap. If you are blessed with pace freaks at the back then increase it accordingly, by adding this you will annihilate rectums harder than Bayern's infamous pressure this year. (8-2 streets won't forget). OFFENSIVE ( what the fuck is that?) STYLE: LONGBALL You are going to do a lot of pressing and tracking in the game. Get used to the possession stats of 30-70, 20-80. Possession is for weaklings. we watch Inter 2010, Chelsea 2012, Atletico 2014 UCL runs on a repeat. Long ball will help you to intercept the ball and Feed it directly to your attackers and CAM VERY QUICKLY, without the disadvantage of your whole team pushing up too fast and leaving a gap like FAST BUILD UP. Players in the box: Depending on your abilities in crossing and manual defending, increase it accordingly. If you are confident that you can score headers and defend the counterattacks, then set it around 6, If you not, then lower it and enjoy crossing and then collecting rebounds. If you got Talisca AS CAM, then you are covered since he is a monster in the air as well. Corners: Again if you can head and cross well increase, but only if you are not afraid of counterattacks. Corners and set pieces are one of the main chances to score for you. I personally set it at 2. but i got tall players like Paulinho, Talisca, Diego Carlos, who disrespect you in the air. Freekicks: I play all of them short, except when i got a good chance around 23M. I set it at 1. Instructions: Your fast striker is set on stay central get in behind and stay forward. Your false 9 is set on stay central and False 9 ( as no one guessed) and stay forward. YOUR ANDERSON FUCKING TALISCA ( CAM) is set on stay forward, get into the box for the cross (Murder). YOUR TANKY CM is set on Stay back while attacking, and cover center. Your Faster CM is set on stay back while attacking, and cover wing ( VERY IMPORTANT to cover your fullbacks when they leave on Mars probe mission.) Your Fullbacks are both set on balanced attack and overlap. Don't select JOIN ATTACKS if you have a problem with opponent's wingers fingering your anus, if you are cool with it, then enjoy the experience. Gameplay: Brew a coffee and enjoy your day and stay focused. Track the ball, press, and leave them to pass it around while they think about their miserable lives and all the pussy that they could have gotten if only they weren't sweaty incels. Try, to feed the ball to your Front triangle and play ping pong passes there and try to find a gap to feed a through ball to your get in behind striker. Use your False 9 as a second CAM and use him for chance creation and passing around. When your opponent is funneling all of the players in the middle to press you, quickly switch the flanks, and feed your Fullbacks since they are not marked, run up the field with them for a good cross chance, or even take the shot if they are clear. ( That is why you want someone who can finish). Don't forget. Scoring is nice ONLY if you don't CONCEDE. don't try to impress anyone, don't do stupid random skill moves. just pass it around and bomb the middle of the pitch with your CMs. Your fullbacks will cover it themselves ( Make sure their work rates or more defensive-oriented if they are not pacey. Defending is not over until the bastard REF sings. Enjoy climbing into ranks, And don forget to leave your text messages open to get those nice and juicy salty tears from all those incels who cant no longer do that one thing that they were destined to do in this cruel world. If your opponents rage quit, you should get maximum points or at least extra in Div Rivals Posted: 11 Oct 2020 06:48 AM PDT With it now being limited to 30 games, you'll be put at a disadvantage if people leave at 2/3-0 because you'll not be able to get maximum points from scoring 5 goals [link] [comments] |

PSA: The squad battles trick from last year is back again Posted: 11 Oct 2020 08:35 AM PDT I've just managed to do it on Professional difficulty. In order to execute, fake shot stop near the byline in your opponent's half ( O then X on PS and B and A on Xb; make sure you let go the left stick). The AI will not tackle you. Bear in mind you may need to do it a couple of times before the AI refuses to come tackle you. Last year I had the most success doing it with my fullback once the entire opposition team is in their half. I still need to test if this works in Legendary and Ultimate, will update once i know Edit: Works on Legendary as well. Explained how to do fake shot stop as well. [link] [comments] |
The free 100K pack objectives: Big Brain edition Posted: 11 Oct 2020 03:35 PM PDT So like everyone I want to get them as soon as possible. What did I do? On Couch play you can play any squad from your friends. So I added an alt, built a full goalkeeper team on 2 chem with this legend in goal https://www.futbin.com/21/player/8901/hiroto-nakagawa and fucked up their tactics so it has full width and long ball so they keep giving me the ball back. Mystery Ball on beginner and let the carnage begin lmao [link] [comments] |

I love the new 30 games limit for Division Rivals. Posted: 11 Oct 2020 08:02 AM PDT In previous FUT it was really stressful to get Rank 1 in your division every week because you had to play an awful amount of games to stay at the top. I remember some weeks playing Wednesday at night to get Rank 1 and see how the rank number was going up to 30,000 points. Now you can just play the 30 games whenever you want and relax afterwards because if you reach around 15,000 points you'll get Rank 1 even if you reach the 30 games on a Saturday. You can chill the rest of the week. Who else is loving this new system? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 11 Oct 2020 12:15 PM PDT Penny pinching at its finest. Edit: Probably should mention in the post that you have to account for EA tax. If the card is >30k it's probably not worth it since shadows and hunter aren't even 5k right now. [link] [comments] |

Anyone else feel this game rewards actual skill alot more? Posted: 11 Oct 2020 05:14 PM PDT I played about 700 games of FIFA 20, had a decent team and I would consider myself above average. My WL record is 24 wins (in FIFA 19) Last year I played more casually but I got stuck at 1000 rating in rivals and didnt manage to get more than 18-19 WL wins. I think AI defending was way to Overpowred last year and the only way to score was to dragback into oblivion. Now since 21 came out Ive really enjoyed it, it feels so much more rewarding. The fact that they basically removed AI defending creates a Nice skillgap, meaning if I face someone with a significantly better team I will still be able to win if I can outplay him. Im currently at 1500 rating in DR and honestly feels like my FIFA spark has been reignited. Anyone feels the same? [link] [comments] |

Fifa 21 is 1000 times better than Fifa 20 Posted: 11 Oct 2020 04:50 PM PDT Fifa 20 was the worst fifa I have ever played. However Fifa 21 is great for the following reasons: 1> Players don't feel clunky, shaky etc. 2> Responsiveness to the skill moves/button press is amazing 3> Agile dribbling is something close to the real life 4> skill gap created by creative runs feature 5> no fitness cards 6> no walk back animation after celebration, less toxic So far I'm enjoying this fifa. Read this if you are thinking about buying FIFA points Posted: 11 Oct 2020 08:52 AM PDT "I have a young son (9) who loves fifa, everyday we spent time doing the challenges, working out our team together, he knows more about the players then me, so as a treat I said we could spend money, not a lot but over £20 we sat there at 6pm Friday waiting for the new teams to be released, as you can imagine my son was talking about who we could get... (I don't really get all the pack things) but he was very excited about it, so after opening all the packs not one player of over 83, not even a walk out, my boy went to bed in tears, I will never buy fifa packs again due to the disappointment on his face, not inpressed fifa... One unhappy kid.... " -user on the EA forums. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 11 Oct 2020 07:06 AM PDT Hey all, Long-time lurker on this sub and really love the community so this is my attempt at a first proper post. I've learnt heaps from some great posts and want to start giving back more so I thought I would write up some player reviews for EPL players that I have used so far. I have always found reading other reviews really useful so hopefully now I can pull my weight. Feel free to comment or PM me any questions about the players and would love to hear your thoughts on them too. Me and my playstyle: Uni student who is a boyhood Chelsea fan and absolutely obssessed with anything football related. I've always played all-out attack since FIFA 18 (btw huge shoutout to u/Rigged79 for this 10/10 FIFA 20 4-1-2-1-2(2) guide). I hate drop back and think it sucks so much fun out of the game - I would rather lose 5-4 than be dulled to death by a 1-0 win. I love FIFA because I love using players that I love and watch in real life and being able to replicate a nice playstyle is super satisfying. It brings back lots of happy childhood memories of playing FIFA all day on my PSP. I usually run 3-4-1-2 / 3-5-2 but the 4-1-2-1-2(2) works wonders this year. I'm currently D1 (1932 Skill Rating) and am very fortunate that the FIFA 21 meta really suits my balls to the wall aggressive playstyle and heavy manual defending. I'll try and write up a guide or some tips this week to help out with that too. For now, I highly recommend learning creative runs as it will unlock so many unique 1-2 opportunities and trying to never pull your CBs out to pressure unless you have to. My team: I have gotten super lucky with packs and rivals rewards so have been able to put together the below squad. I find that most of D1 either has an equivalent or better team and the below players have been performing extremely well against them. I went with an EPL squad even though everybody says not to because I love watching the EPL and it contains all of my favourite players and teams. *Hope you all enjoy the read or get something out of it and hopefully I'll have more reviews to come* Werner (ST) (Hawk) (9.5/10): So fast and strong, finishes absolutely everything with either foot. Only flaw is his 3* skill moves but set him on get in behind and watch him go. Passes can be slightly dodgy sometimes too but alleviate this by facing in the direction you're facing. Also be careful with turning as he is not that agile - he is far more lethal running in straight lines and using RS to push the ball forward. Can't recommend him more. As a Chelsea fan, I hope he plays like this irl. Martial (ST) (Hawk) (9/10): Really really good - has a lethal finish as well as both finesse shot and outside foot shot. Only rating him slightly below Werner because his finishing was not as lethal and sometimes his 3* weak foot let him down. Definitely go for Martial if you have the coins but can't afford Werner. Feels decently strong as well given he is 5'11'. Ziyech (CAM) (Hunter) (9/10): Tekkz lists him as the third best player he's used so far and I have to agree he's a beast. The highlights of this card are how smooth and silky he feels on the ball as well as his passing. His through balls are the best I've used so far and he can pick out anyone. 5* skills is also a much desired bonus at this stage. He's relatively 'cheap' compared to other alternatives due to his 2* WF and he can be one dimensional at times but he makes up for it. Gini Wijnaldum (CM) (Shadow) (9/10): Gini is absolutely everywhere. I read another post that said he mops up all the play and it's true. Man is a defensive beast and is amazing on the transition. Is absolutely perfect as a box-to-box cm. Perhaps one of his only flaws is he isn't as capable of playing a killer pass but if you utilise him more offensively then using an engine might help with this. Ndidi (CDM) (Shadow) (8.5/10): Brilliant as a CDM but does not offer that much outside of that. His frame and long legs make him ideal for interceptions and he is always defensively in the right spot at the right time. He can feel stiff on the ball (69 Agility and 67 Balance) so you can't go on crazy runs with him but he does his defensive duties excellently. Zaha (CM) (Deadeye) (8/10): Really enjoyed this card due to the 5* skills, has decent passing and shooting. Quite good value for money and is fun to use. Not as good as the top tiers I listed above but if you value skills and want someone with a decent shot who is under ~35k then he is a good pick up. Bernando Silva (CM) (Hawk) (8.5/10): Used him as a box-to-box cm and cam. I really liked Silva as his H/H workrates meant he was always all over the pitch and he has a deceptive amount of strength in him. His shots were also quite good and the 3* WF is not an issue at all for him. The reason I use Ziyech instead is due to the 5* skills and Ziyech's finishing feels crisper. Silva is great on the ball and he represents a great choice given his 20k price. Would be 100k+ if he was central position. Reguilon (LB) (Shadow) (8/10): He is really good on defence and can keep up with most of the pacey D1 wingers you would expect to see (aka every PL winger you can think of). Crosses and passing are good enough but he isn't the best for his position. I used to have Van Aanholt who in my opinion is the best value for money but he was getting caught out defensively too much. Laporte (CB) (Shadow) (8.5/10): This card is immense. Don't let his low pace turn you off - he is always in the right spot at the right time to intercept. Manual tackling feels superb given his strength and large frame. Just be careful of not dragging him out of defence as he can be easily beaten by a 1-2 in behind. Alderweireld should play quite similarly. Wan-Bissaka (CB) (Sentinel) (10/10): Broken as a CB. His defensive awareness and positioning is out of this world, nobody can run past easily as he can tug them back and he's super strong both aerially and in the tackle. Amazing. Ricardo Pereira (RB) (Shadow) (9/10): Literally only bad thing I can say about him is he doesn't offer as much going forward compared to his defence. Amazing pace and very cheap imo for his overall quality and what he offers (compared to Walker etc.) Alisson (GK) (Basic) (9/10): Keepers appear to not be that useful this year but Alisson is a beast. He's bailed me out heaps and makes some crazy saves when I expect a certain goal. Very good at coming off his line and making reflex saves. If you've made it this far then have a good weekend and cheers for reading :) [link] [comments] |
