    Anyone else feel like they’re playing against the game itself more than their opponent?

    A few certainties that I noticed in pretty much every game I play:

    1. (Enter name here) with 99 finishing and shot power will miss at least 2-3 one on one chances no matter how you try to finish. For me it's Ribery missing sitters

    2. Opponents Stegen will make some incredible saves

    3. Clean sheet is basically impossible

    4. Blowout leads are practically impossible. Games will always be 1-0, 2-1 etc no matter if you're playing someone way below your level. Leaves more room for "dramatic moments".

    5. There will be the inexplicable moment where my players turn into training dummies and the opponent will score. You can usually tell from the halfway line when it's about to happen.

    6. Through passes will land with 100% accuracy(if the player is offside)

    There are tons more and I could go on all day. I just don't understand why EA thinks it's a good idea to have their product in the state it is. I've played other EA games like Apex legends and those are incredibly balanced and functional.

    Just done it with Scream Milner, 1000 games but got bored and put him into a Prime SBC to pack Prime Guardiola who is garbage..sorry to.sacrifice you for a worser player plus 10 88 players..rip

    I won my first ever fut champs match

    Now i'm secured 1-29. Really proud of myself

    Edit : Just did Pogba 95. Hope he helps me to get 2-28

    Edit 2 : Pogba helped very much. I won my second game so I have secured 2-28. I was 4-1 in the lead after first 45 and EA really fucked me in the ass in the next 45. All his goals was mistake passes that didn't go where I wanted them to. Watched the replays and they all show I passed in the right direction

    An Alternative to FUTBIN VFC

    Earlier today there was the below thread, talking about VFC on FUTBIN.

    I always thought it was a very decent way of telling what SBCs were worth doing, and to an extent, it is. It's a pretty simple sum of taking how much the reward is worth, and comparing it against how much it would cost to complete.

    However, I'm a fucking nerd and I've looked quite a bit into stuff like this, and I find it quite limiting now. Mainly because FUTBIN treats how much a pack costs as value. EA set that value, and I think we can all agree that it's by no means a measure of worth (you think you're getting 50k back off a 50k pack?). It also has a side-effect that it can only get VFC for packs that you can buy in the store, otherwise they don't have a price, and therefore no value.

    So anyway, I've worked on the following, helpfully put into a google sheet which I'll explain below

    There are 3 sheets

    • Value Information
      • Holds the minimum discard value each type of card you'll get in the packs. This is probably distinctly worst case, you're likely to get more (and obviously a lot more if you sell) but I wanted to be realistic and give a worst-case. These values are used in later sheets
    • Pack Information
      • All the packs in the game that you can get through league SBCs, along with details of contents.
      • The key part is in column K. This is me thinking "what's the worst that could happen" and taking the minimum number of possible players, the worst possible combination of rare cards, and then assigning the discard values to them to get the WCV (worst-case value). Compare that to column J, which represents the value EA puts on them. For example, EA charges 35k for a mega pack - worst case discard is around 3600 by my calculations. Ooft.
    • SBC Information
      • This is all parts of league SBCs, and the prices based on FUTBIN (think this is as of sometime yesterday, and is already out of date)
      • Last four columns are what you'll be interested in. FUTBIN VFC vs WCVFC. You'll see the significant difference there if you sort for yourself.
      • also notice that using VFC, over 60% of the challenges have no value for VFC. Using my method, the top 8 best value (all silver based) are all ones that previously had no value.

    So aye, if this kind of stuff interests you, feel free to have a look, muck about with it (I think people can edit their own copy) and I welcome any comments/questions.

    I've literally packed about 50 untradable totw cards this year and about 5 tradable ones. It's ridiculous, they have zero sbc value too.
