    There's so many icon cards, surely it'd be better to just have their Prime and Moments card available? The reason I'm saying this because Baby and Mid icons rarely get used, some baby icons are genuinely worse than some gold cards and are rendered useless.

    Emre Can Storyline review as CB and B2B CM (videos included)

    I figured with many people slowly hitting level 30, some of you might be interested in a review for Storyline Emre Can. I put a Shadow on him and played him on full chem.

    I put him in my main team that looks like this.

    I play 3-5-2 ingame as my main formation like this with Emre as LCB.

    I play 4-4-2 (2) as my alternative formation with Emre as LCM on balanced instructions (Witsel on RCM on stay back).

    Just some words on my play style. I hardly play on the wings, I like to play combination football through the middle, so I love to have "all-rounders" all over my midfield, players that can do it all. I played exactly 10 rivals games with him in the team. I'm currently in Div 5, usual G2 player. Most opponents played their matches all the way through the end, with 2 people AFKing after getting scored on in the second half and me also stopping to play then.

    So I used him as my LCB next to TOTS VVD as CCB and SH Luiz as RCB. Can's right footed, but due to him having the 4* WF, I never had trouble using his left foot. He has very composed passing, rarely misplaced a pass. His positioning in the defense line was fantastic, he's usually always in a great spot to anticipate deep runs on his side and shield the ball away from the attacker. Also he seemed to have a good rotation policy with VVD. When VVD moved to the left side, Can took the middle spot immediately. Even without the aggression/strength boost, he felt very strong. Although only having an "Average" body type, his built ingame seems somewhat bulky, so in general his body type is great to play him as CB. With a Shadow he theoretically has maxed out pace and while he feels quick, he's not the fastest CB I ever used. I'd say defenders like SH Lenglet or TOTS Diego Carlos feel a tiny bit faster. But unless you play a super high line, his pace is more than enough to become a problem. Check out this video of him absolutely rinsing TOTS Gnabry with his run, he can be damn quick. So in total, he's got great pace, a body type that fits the CB spot, very good positioning (M/M is a great fit for CB) and feels strong and sturdy. Very very good alternative to all the meta CBs everybody uses.

    In my 4-4-2 (2) he played as LCM on balanced instructions, with Witsel being the RCM on stay back. I dynamically change to this formation during most games, so of course he still has his Shadow on. You can feel his speed in midfield as well, he's very quick at jockeying. Not quite TOTY Kante / PIM Makelele pacey jockeying, but close enough. Again, his very solid passing will be noticed, he's just a very reliable passer. He has a very decent defensive presence. He generally looks for intercepting opportunities and will snatch up the ball if possible. But he's not at the elite level of Kante. But when used as a CM, I was very satisfied with his defensive contribution. Now on to his attacking qualities. Even without a shooting boost, he has very good finishing for a CM. He scored most shots I expected him to and even scored a banger from ~20m. Again, not quite TOTS/POTY KDB level of finishing, but honestly not far off. I was surprised to see his finishing stat at 76 when I looked it up, felt like more. But I guess it gets compensated by very good positioning, shot power and long shots stats. Now, about his positioning. Mind you I only rarely use M/M players on CM / CDM positions. Generally he has good movement and tries to find open spots for a quick pass. He also has a good drive towards the goal, looking to run behind defenders. But on rare occasions I didn't quite understand his movement. He suddenly stopped runs, didn't move forward when I tried to call him with L1 or sometimes overcommited way too much. These were rare instances, but his movement sometimes just felt too unpredictable for me. Sometimes this worked against me, but sometimes it took me by surprise in a positive way because he suddenly made a perfect run all the way from deep midfield to score. Perhaps if you are more used to M/M midfielders, you'll be less surprised about his sometimes weird runs. This didn't happen often enough to really be a concern, just a thing I wanted to point out. Now lastly, without a balance/agility boost he doesn't feel clunky. He does however sometimes do slightly exaggerated touches, especially in bad gameplay. Even someone like SH Dembele has these weird touches for me every now and then, so I don't mind it too much, that's just the way the game is. You could also always give him an Engine to combat this. In general I'm very happy with his performance as a B2B CM. He's not quite on the level of SH Delaney, at least going forward. That dude just seems to have extra crisp shots more akin to KDB, but I actually like Emre's defensive shift he puts in more. Both are great to have around.

    My stats with him in 10 games are 4 goals, 3 assists (bear in mind I used him as a CB like 2/3 of the time, he would probably have more goal contributions if used entirely as a CM).

    Some highlight videos from my 10 games with him:

    Somewhat lucky goal, but his movement is usually fantastic when he joins the attack. He's also often on the right end of 50:50 situations, gets to bouncing balls etc.

    Great assist. He can play pretty quick passes even mid skill move

    An example for a defensive 50:50 he wins. He does this a lot, super helpful

    And another example. People had a hard time trying to get past him with simple moves

    Did I mention he has the Flair trait? Look forward to doing rabona clearances with this madlad

    His lobbed through passes are phenomenal. Didn't connect, but I feel like my Bernat made a weird run. The pass was perfectly weighted

    Again, very crisp lobbed through pass and great run into the box

    Unfortunately I didn't score that (too much power and weird angle with his left foot I guess), but again look at this movement. Also the flair pass to Mbappe. He's just a very fun player

    TL;DR: I like him a LOT. Without the balance/agility boost, he sometimes does heavy emphasis touches, but doesn't feel clunky at all. He's a fantastic option for CB, has very decent positioning, strength, and great pace with a Shadow. I only used him in a 3ATB as LCB so that's what I can vouch for, but with his qualities he also should neatly fit into a regular 4ATB defense line without any issues.

    He's also a very good CM with great presence all over the pitch and very solid finishing. I couldn't quite always read his movement though, it was a bit unpredictable as CM. Maybe I just don't get along with M/M workrates on my CM. This worked out in favor for me sometimes because my opponent also didn't expect him to push forward etc., but in some situations I didn't like his runs. Still a great choice all around if you need a new BuLi midfielder or makeshift CB. I love his versatility, he's honestly very good on both positions. Highly recommended choice for the storyline player if you are still undecided.

    FIFA 21 PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE

    One thing I think would really help with the quality of life for in FIFA 21 is to have a notification pop up when you complete an objective. Honestly doing a whole game trying to score volleys etc and not actually know when it is completed is so annoying. I want to complete something and actually know I have done it without having to play the whole game trying to complete something I have already done
