    TOTS Premier League Cards and Body Type/Trait Breakdown

    As a lot of people have learned this year body type seems to be very important for Fifa 21, even more important than years gone by for defenders and attackers.

    Average, high and average body types etc do not seem to perform as well as special Unique body types when it comes to upgraded or normal cards ingame. However some players may not have noticed this.

    Before I get in deeper if you are a big fan of a play or a club just use who you want and have fun with the game and the players you love! For those who want to min max a bit and get every last bit of performance from their team then its worth looking at the Prem TOTS that has been announced and the Prem players from the Community TOTS to see which cards have unique bodys and good traits etc to see which ones are the most likely ones to perform to their stats ingame.

    Having this kind of information can help you to plan your team beforehand and help you aim for the right kind of players to fit your team. Please note everyone is different so you may still like some of the players with average bodys and hate a unique one so its worth trying out anyone you think will work in your team.

    Defenders:

    There are 5 from the Prem TOTS and (including the CDM Soucek) and 3 from Community (included Ndombele since his stats will have him used more as a CDM or 2nd CDM and Goldson since he has the english links so is easy to link into prem teams).

    Of all of these 8 cards for defensive positions only 3 Have unique Body types that seem to give them an advantage ingame and 1 has a Stocky Body type that can be hit and miss so that remains to be seen when the card is released. All other 4 cards have average or high and average types which seem to underwhlem even with boosted stats, this is even more noticable when the players are taller as this effects how easy they are to handle even with high agility and balance with this body type and 5 foot 11 plus they can really underperform due to the body type animations and controlability ingame.

    So the 3 players with Unique body types are as Follows:

    Wan Bissaka - Unique Body Type + the best Defensive trait in the game with unique tackel animantions and his unique body type os based off the lean type which makes him even more agile and manouverable.

    Ndombele- Unique Body Type while being 5 foot 11 having the Unique body type and good dribbleing means he actually feels a lot smoother with the upgrade even though he is a taller player and has a bigger hit box due to his wide body type for interceptions. 1 Shooting Train + Flair

    Joao Cancelo- Unique Body Type and already very popular player inagme so you already know how he performs

    You also will have Luke Shaw who will be the one with the Stocky Body type but this is really a case of you will need to try him out to see how he plays and feels ingame to see if the big upgrade to stats are really noticable ingame with his body type. No good traits.

    The other defenders where:

    Goldson- High & Average+ Body Type, No Traits

    Fofana- High & Average+ Body Type, No Traits

    Soucek- High & Average+ Body Type, No Traits

    Ruben Dias- High & Average Body Type, Good Traits for a Defender

    Now if you where not to look and know body types before hand and based off your experience ingame you had to guess which 2 would be the best defenders from that league I think its safe to say without any of this information the vast majority of player would have said Wan Bissaka and Joao Cancelo given how "meta" they have been this year. Its no suprise to see see then that they are 2 of the 3 with Unique body types and they seem to perform better.

    CM's and Cams:

    There are 4 other players that can fill the CM and CAM roles in your team, some people may also play them as a 2nd more attacking CDM but given their shooting stats I will not class them as CDM's from the last section but all 6 can be considered for all roles due to the factyou will be running 2 to 4 midfeilders normally and you will be looking for one with certain attributes based on your fotmaion and playstyle.

    Based on how the game has gone so far for attacking players and CM's/CAM's what has seems to work best so far this year has again been Unique/custom Body types who always have something extra to offer and also Lean body types have performed very well this year.

    KDB- Unique Body Type, lots of usefull traits

    Bruno Fernandes-Lean Body type, usefull traits

    Mount-Lean Body Type, No Traits

    Gundogan- Average Body Type, No traits

    KDB Unique body type a simular type situation to Ndombele where by he has a large hit box as he seems to be a bit wider and bigger ingame than for example Bruno even though bruno is 5 foot 10 and KDB is 5 foot 11 the difference in hit box is bigger to to his large unique body type. While bruno might feel easier to dribble and turn with due to the lean body type KDB will have a clear advantage for interceptions due to his hitbox being bigger he will have bigger reach so there are pros and cons to all of the cards here

    Given that most people will run a number of Midfielders from 2 to 4 there is more room here for choice as you might be looing for one of the 4 to fill a specialised role so as mentioned before all of these midfielders seem to be viable and there are 4 with favourable body types (lean and Unique).

    Attackers:

    We have 6 attackers, 5 from Prem TOTS and 1 from Community TOTS. SOme will be Set as Wide positions and others as central ones but given that most people play their wingers in central roles etc all 6 will just be classed as attackers.

    ​

    Barnes- Average Body Type, 1 Shooting Trait (Outside of the foot)

    Salah- Custom Body Type (Salah), Good Attacking Traits

    Kane- Unique Body Type, Good Attacking Traits

    Son- Unique Body Type, Good Attacking Traits

    Rashford-Unique Body type, No Shooting Traits but has the Flair trait to go with the 5 Star Skills

    Vardy- Unique Body Type, No Attacking Traits

    Again there is something here to suit all kinds of needs you may have for different positions and budgets. Barnes might not give you that something special the ones with Unique bodys can give but he goes have great dribbeling agility and balance so he will be and will cost less than the others etc.

    Some Cards that seem to be showing on Futbin that could be the SBC's:

    Bamford ST- High & Average Body Type with Flair Trait

    Rodri CDM- High & Average Body Type with No traits

    The amount of times I see a good pass (not through ball), i'm not under pressure, and yet my player either woefully underhits it or it goes completely to the wrong player is unbelievable. It's this shoddy aspect of the game that has, in my opinion, forced the meta to being the fast-paced through ball spam that it is. Trainer or no trainer it really detracts from the football aspect of this game.

    When good passing comes off it's a joy to watch, both for and against you. I just wish it'd happen more.

    Haven't bought FIFA points since the first week of FIFA 21. I was going to get some for tomorrow with it being tots.

    I jumped on played Rivals. And my god, I quickly remembered why we should never give this company any of our money. The gameplay tonight is horrendous. And people who will say, but everyone is playing rivals so it's bound to be slow. EA have enough money just from ultimate team, to upgrade/add servers to easily cope with their "ever growing" player base that they love to boast about.

    Don't spend money on this game, or do. I don't care. Just know it's not going where it should. Stay safe out there. Good luck for the weekend.

    That's ridiculous, I wont be surprised if he won't get the upgrade for this WL.

    What pisses me off the most is not the fact it takes them a week to do something so simple, it's the fact that they updated the last showdown cards within a few hours.

    How come a multi billion dollar company has no schedule for this stuff?

    The garbage servers and all the shit that's going on every single FIFA makes sense now, they just don't have a schedule.

    That's just disrespectful towards the players who take the game more serious than the developers themselves.

    They never fail to amaze me with all the wrong reasons.

    With the new unconfirmed WL changes floating around, I wanted to ask why we can’t just play FUT champs every day of the week.

    The only think I can think of is that the game requires you to play someone near your elo, and I guess it's possible that it may lead to some difficulty finding matches, especially at off peak hours during the week.

    Still, who cares? If we have to wait a few minutes to get in a game so be it. I'd be able to basically just play the WL and get my UT fill in, and I wouldn't feel rushed.

    I feel like I'm missing something here, bc it seems so obvious to me that this is the way to go. I also acknowledge that for all of their flaws, EA is still a large company that has probably considered something like this—and for some reason or another decided against it.

    Do some of you give the controller to your sibling/friend to play fifa?

    If you're losing a match, do you give the controller to someone else who's better than you?

    No, I know tactics can be changed etc, but sometimes it feels like I'm playing a totally different player after a pause or half time. The way they move/defend is completely different from the way they were playing before.

    It has to be a different person rather than just a tactics change. So, do you do it, change players in the middle of a game?
