| Trick to finally make your lofted through balls accurate Posted: 17 May 2021 03:51 PM PDT And it's very easy. After pressing LB+Y (PS) and powering up like you would, you simply hit Y again. All of a sudden the speed on the ball is way more precise and not just randomly being overhit all the time. It's made a huge difference for me when testing it tonight. Not specific players but what defines it as "Ultimate"? I'll define what I view as my ultimate team. I want to play with my heroes. I also want to play with the best players. I want my heroes to be my best players. Simple. But unless all my heroes are TOTY, TOTS or Icons (for the most part) that is impossible. Let's say I follow Grimsby Town. My heroes can't be in what I define as my Ultimate Team because they aren't the best players. Let's say my heroes are Icons, well I can't afford the best version of all of them in my team and I even if I could, some may be extinct. Ultimate Team should give you every opportunity to A. Play with your heroes and B. Make your heroes the best players in the game by improving them. I wish I could actually, legitimately, build my ultimate team to perform how I want it to in game. | Playing with these TOTS players is a joy, but... Posted: 17 May 2021 12:42 AM PDT ...it makes me realise just how unbalanced it was playing the glitchy Neymar/Mbappe crowd right at the beginning I'm not winning more games with my much improved team (I'm at an OVR of 91 in div 4), but it is just more fun to play. My players respond better, do what they are supposed to (more often than not), and it just plays better. Obviously my opponent has better players too and as such the effectiveness of my players is more or less evened out (I was a bit disappointed with TOTS Isak at first, but it's because he is playing against absolute beasts in defence). It's at this point that I realised that Neymar/Mbappe etc... were TOTS level players right from the start, and trying to defend against them with my rare gold team was lambs to the slaughter. | FIFA Needs to Add Duplicate Protection or Duplicate Storage Posted: 17 May 2021 09:53 AM PDT I've been thinking about this since Hearthstone implemented duplicate protection in an attempt to make the game cheaper. I think that at the very least there has to be duplicate storage if there isn't going to be protection. It is such a bad gameplay experience in my opinion to put time and effort into this game to get multiple of the same untradable cards that you have to do something with right away if you want to either open more packs or get new items. Having both dupe protection and storage would be the dream, but it is getting harder to play when the game has neither. Love to hear what everyone else has to say about this. [link] [comments] |

The Amiri objective clearly states "assist in 10 with through balls on SB or Rivals" and nothing else. I'm currently crafting SB Swaps and I'm realizing I'm stuck at 4/10, thinking to myself there must be some kind of bug with what is programmed as a through ball or not. So, only now I realized EA messed up badly in the translation to portuguese and have not yet fixed it. It's supposed to be through balls with german players specifically, something that isn't at all mentioned in the portuguese language menu. Same old... [link] [comments] |

| Squad Battles Competitor Mode needs to go. Yesterday. Posted: 17 May 2021 08:42 PM PDT Squad Battles are a grind to begin with - it's not particularly fun, but it is a nice mode to try out different teams, and E1 is a good 30,000 coins and 2 rare mega packs (perhaps not worth the effort, but I like being able to pause the game during the workday if needed). Absolutely tired of the 'one inevitable goal' that a 62-rated, out of position center back will thundercunt into the top bin. You can be 3, 5, 10 goals up, but suddenly your players will stop tracking runs, and if you manually cover an attacker, the ball will bounce right off of you. I should be able to control my players the same way through the entire match, and if I pass a ball in a direction, it definitely shouldn't go 90 degrees from where I aimed. (Seriously, go to instant replay and check out where you aimed, it'll absolutely drive you up the wall to see that you aimed correctly and the ball went the other way to get a hot dog). I play D1 Rivals, and it feels less sweaty. I like division rivals and WL more, because I'm not usually getting heel-to-heeled, ball rolled, and bridged by Jay Rodriguez and Troy Deeney. At least it's Neymar, Mbappe and Atal, and not constantly. No pros play as ridiculously as competitor mode. There is at least strategy to the skill moves when they execute them.
