EA Sports FIFA Squad Battles Rewards Megathread

So with FIFA 21 being in the last few months of the cycle, lets see what needs to change the most or must be added for FIFA 22. I have thought about 26 changes/additions for FIFA 22. If you had to choose out of the 26 changes below, what would your top 5 be? And which one would be your favorite?

A - Add an untradable pile for players. Is 100 fair?

B - Improve the ref system. I have seen so many penalty's given when nothing happened or a button was pressed. Moreover, when someone is through on goal and gets fouled a lot of the times only a yellow is given.

C - Being able to see all of your Fut Champions (player) stats and records of your opponents.

D - Nerf auto-blocks when you shoot on goal. The amount of 300+ agility jumps I have seen on some defenders with blocking just doesn't seem right to me.

E - Add regularly Icon SBC's throughout the cycle of the game.

F - Change League SBC rewards to all tradable instead of only half of it. Besides when you completed the league it would be nice to also get a player from that league.

G - WL games reduced to 20-25 and more rewarding rewards for higher ranks.

H - A new mode to play during the week added (Monday-Thursday). You are free to think about anything with this one.

I - Coop Fut Champions added.

J - Make CB's faster than they are now. The amount of fullbacks on cb is too much this year in my opinion.

K - Add blue player picks to squad battles so playing that mode would be more rewarding (not as much as in Fut Champions though). Just the same as the red picks from Fut Champions but then in blue.

L - Be able to compleet the milestone objectives again once you completed it.

M - Make Icon Swaps more like Icon Swaps and not fodder swaps.

N - Remove bridge/Nerf it/Make sure defenders don't freeze when performed.

O - Change that once when a player quits the game when it is a draw and nothing happens. The other player should get the victory in my opinion. (And yes EA should be able to implement this in a way).

P - Add 1 promo pick in Fut Champions besides the normal red picks. For only elite+ and in the way that when you get elite you get 3x 1 of 5 red picks. And 1x 1 of 2 promo picks. This way people are more excited to play Fut Champions.

Q - Remove goalkeeper movement. With corners it is okay but when you have skilled/passed your way through on goal you should be able to score easily. (I know it is easy once you waited long enough for the GK to move but still).

R - Add better connectivity system. When the connection in a game is bad from one of the two players or the servers itself, don't disconnect a player entirely once it gets very low but wait until until the players connection changes to good/better again. Both players should have 3 of these moments in a game and each moment a maximum of X seconds to come back. If the connection isn't up in these X seconds then a disconnect is the only way.

S - Make draft rewards more valuable. Get a draft token if you win it/more packs when you win it. Or make it so that you can choose between 2 type of rewards (just like in Rivals).

T - Add cross play and a cross market between at least PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. This would also mean that there would be for example only one Fut Champs Top 200. Or maybe a Top 400 then when it gets combined?

U - When you played a lot of games in for example FIFA 21 it would be nice to have a rewarding system that you get a 25k+ pack each week in the next FIFA for the dedication you have put in. Now each FIFA it is just starting over with zero benefits from playing the previous FIFA a lot.

V - Be able to see the odds of SBC packs instead of only purchased packs in the store. And make it real like 0.65 %, not like < 1%.

W - Once you finished a game it gives you immediately the points/win/whatever. I have had a few times the problem that once you are in the stat screen after the match you still get DC'd even though you originally won.

X - Change 100k and 125k packs in the way that they at least have 3x 85+ cards inside.

Y - Add a Fut Champs channel for Everyone. I would like to see when I lose what I could have done better and improve for the next games.

Z - Change the weak foot system to stats. So instead of 1-5* weak foot it would be a 1-99 stat.

FoF Zakaria 91 - Player Review

Picked up this guy as he links with moments Lazaro so slots into my team perfectly. He's currently one of the cheapest cards of this promo so also easily accessible to anyone who wants him.

I played him at CDM for every game, but I believe he would work equally well or even better as a CB.

The chemistry style I used was Shadow as it boosts him to 99 pace and nearly maxed out defending stats as well.

PACE: 10/10 - For a bulky 6'3 player I expected him to feel nowhere near 99 pace, but the guy just glides through the midfield and honestly feels like he has a custom body type with the way he covers ground.

DRIBBLING: 7/10 - On the ball movement is about what you would expect, not an issue at all for me personally as I had him paired next to TOTS Kimmich. Zakaria's main job was to be a destroyer in the midfield and he does that.

SHOOTING: 8/10 - Surprisingly decent. It's not what you buy him for, I personally couldn't care less if my main CDM has 40 shooting as I don't shoot with them often. That being said he scored a couple of nice long shots.

DEFENDING: 10/10 - Now this is what you buy Zakaria for. His immaculate pace combined with this defending is just overkill. More than enough to deal with the crazy overpowered TOTS attackers and whatever else you will come up against. His jockey speed is up there with the best I have used this year.

PASSING: 8/10 - Does the job as you would expect. Nothing crazy but he did the simple stuff perfect for me.

PHYSICAL: 9/10 - Strength and Aggression are absolutely flawless. His jumping is a little low but because of his height he doesn't lose many headers. The main problem I came across with Zakaria was his stamina. It's fine but in the last 10-15 minutes it's probably a good idea to take him off.

Summary - Stamina aside he is the best CDM I have used this year. That list includes TOTS Kimmich, TOTS Kessie and Prime Matthaus.If you're happy to sub him off late in games then it's a no brainer. Alternatively, he may be well worth trying as a CB as he won't be using as much stamina there. I'd imagine he is similar or better than TOTS Tapsoba in that position.

Final score - 9.5/10

Value for money - 10/10

I did him for 180k and prefer benzema and bamba as a striker but think he's better at cam than both of them
