    For everyone thinking about opening packs tomorrow: Black Friday should be about great offers, savings and deals for customers. EA has never done any of that over BF

    Over the last 3 years EA has never done anything over the Black Friday weekend that can be considered a good deal for us players.

    Black Friday is about discounts and great deals for customers. All retailers have sales on BF or offer great benefits for purchasing something.

    All EA has done over the past 3 years is release MORE packs. No special offers, no savings. Literally just more packs for you to spend more money on, whilst most probably turning down the pack weight even more.

    Some people mistakenly remember EA offering 2 for 1 packs. That's not the case. These usually release on Chinese New Year.

    Obviously what you do with your money is up to you. But I highly recommend putting your money into something that actually offers you good value tomorrow.

    Just look at the poor guy who opened up 7 100k packs, and didn't get anything worth more than 5k. Is that really worth spending 140€ on ?

    If someone with 70 passing can't do a simple 10 yard through ball, someone with 35 defending shouldn't be able to tackle the ball better than Icon CBs

    90 pace 35 defense CMs is hilarious but it works. Being able to miss tackles and zoom back into position is also great so there's no penalty to playing horrible defense.

    I used Liverpool’s FIFA 20 tactics on FUT — An Experiment

    After playing this year with numerous teams and numerous players, I decided to create a full Liverpool team and will be trying my best to get the best players as the year progresses and play how they play — high press, attacking fullbacks, plenty of options up front with a high defensive line.

    So far, this is the team that I've been able to create. I skipped on Scream Milner and RTTF Gomez due to not needing them at the time for my then teams and due to cost of the SBCs. I realize that most of the in-forms are costly for minimal upgrades, but it's too easy to earn coins to worry about that.

    Here's the default tactics that EA gives Liverpool when you use them offline in the 4-3-3 (5):

    Defense: 5 width, 7 depth (sheesh...), pressure after possession loss

    Offense: balanced, 5 width, 3 players in box, everything else default

    The player instructions essentially have everyone coming back to help support on defense then everyone pushing forward to attack on offense including the fullbacks (Join the Attack, Overlap). I was almost tempted to keep them on balanced to be able to get back on defense but I decided to go full LFC and keep it as is.

    How was it attacking?

    Attacking wise, this was the most fun I've had playing FIFA. With people available everywhere, passing options both forward and back, goals are spread out although not as much as I expected them to be. All three of my midfielders put themselves in good positions to score and my attack is always ready to come down the wings and cut inside or lay it off.

    Compared to regular online seasons against normal teams, the scoring rate is not as much but if you put Mane in front of goal, he won't miss. Salah and Firmino can finish consistently as well but holy crap, Mane is different. My midfielders are what and what and they've all missed some sitters, but credit where credit is due: they finish when I need them to.

    Robertson and TAA are surprises as well. Going forward, they cause panic and havoc as they bomb up the pitch with space. I don't cross much but their ability to create space and find the open man opens up many other opportunity for others. TAA actually has two assists from set pieces and a goal from open play. It's a breath of fresh air for sure.

    And defensively?

    Well... that high defensive line? That 7 depth I mentioned? Yeah. Counter attack on counter attack on counter attack. Because the fullbacks are so high and with everyone running a 4-2-3-1, the wings are wiiiiiide open. Which wouldn't be all the bad with Gomez and Van Dijk back there, but if I'm beat by pacy forwards, I'm BEAT. No amount of recovery will save me. And that's how I've conceded most of my goals. So imagine that combined with the Press after Possession Loss. Fullbacks are out of position, midfielders are super high up trying to win the ball, and attackers doing the same... it's a recipe for it and I expected nothing less.

    It's tough defending with this team, but everyone hustles which is what also makes this work so well. If I win the ball back almost immediately, Mane, Salah or Firmino are in on goal. If I win it in the midfield, it allows me to reset from where I am and push for a goal. And sometimes I can force a rushed pass forward to an attacker to where Gomez or VVD can intercept the pass and begin an attack. When it all comes together defensively, it's a struggle to advance the ball and that's what makes this worth using.

    Overall, it's different from the meta for sure. And if you want to win at all costs, this ain't for you. But it's definitely fun in all aspects. Nothing is better than catching your opponent off guard and winning a tackle high up the pitch to score. I'll be trying this over the course of the Weekend League to see how it plays as opposed to those in Division 3.

    TL;DR — Used the Liverpool tactics in FUT. Defending is hard, attacking is fun. You will be caught out but the high pressure play is entertaining from start to finish.

    If anything, please, at least get rid of the Divisions rivals points earnt after the game I'll live with the skill points one...

    Edit: if you need a suggestion maybe just a pop up +770 points, like exp earnt.

    Was down 3-0 on pro clubs with randoms and after one guy who was hogging the ball quit, my teammates and I made a crazy comeback. Rarely have i played with randoms who pass and play defese, it was beautiful.

    There should be an in-game "Objective Complete" notification

    Just spent a third game trying to score flair goals in Squad Battles. None of my players appeared to be doing anything out of the ordinary, so I didn't know if the goals counted or not.

    You shouldn't have to wait until the end of the game to know whether you achieved the objective. It would be a really nice touch if a pop-up told you that you'd just scored two flair goals, or you have successfully scored a "daisy cutter" - very much like the 'trophy' integration, but instead for in-game FUT achievements.
