    De Bruyne & De Jong were extinct the whole lightning round. The moment it ended the market was flooded with cards. A lot of them have 2-4 previous owners

    How EA is slowly coercing the playerbase into buying FP by making it harder to get coins/players like they used to (also the real reason they brought it FUT Economist)

    League SBCs

    Remember the first year this was introduced. The quality of the players were insane. Suarez - Lacazette - Giovinco - even Al Soma ... all cards that stayed relevant for months. People played hundreds of games with these. Oh and guess what ... YOU HAD A WHOPPING 20-30K EXTRA with the player card you completed. Plus the 20ish good packs you can open too means that very often you break even and even made profit while leaving with a very good player.

    Now, sure we have 2-3 picks, but they are so underwhelming that it's pointless and the packs are utter garbage.

    So yeah, EA had to nerf these bad boys, they don't want people not only having meta usable players + a shit tons of good packs to open.

    Trading MM

    Another content feature EA nerfed in order to cut down on the amount of coins you can make. Remember when MMs where obvious marquee games, some games that you just knew were a no-brainer. Easy investments AND MMs actually gave out very good packs too so you knew you'dbmake profit.

    Fast forward now, when was the last time we had a MM that that had bronze-silver players almost go extinct ? Yeah ... I though so too.

    Trading UCL

    Last year, it was a sure way to make coins. Just invest in them when they are in SBC packs. And sell them when they become requirements for some higher end SBCs. Easy money for most.

    This year, these cards are pretty much pointless and are CLEARLY pack fillers since EA made them available all year long in packsn, thus hitting 2 birds with 1 stone. Traders can't make a quick buck out of them, and we get more useless shit in our packs, thus reducing the odds for more desirable items.

    Trading OTW

    Who remembers OTW Konoplyanka, or OTW Felipe Anderson or OTW Mane ... thos players made people so much coins 👀 cause EA wanted to upgrade them when they did perform well IRL. So it was easy investments for people to make coins out of.

    Now ... I feel like a player needs a hat-trick of goals, assist and then put his gloves on to save a PK in order to get an IF if he has a OTW (looking at Promes here)

    Icons

    First year they released Icon SBCs, every icon had a Prime Icon SBC + a 20-game loan SBC for the casuals who would want to play with their heros even if only for 20 games. It was a win win, the only downside was them requiring Base Icons.

    Now we have this new token bullshit, which is basically EA disctating which Icons you can get through grinding and when you can get them.

    You want Prime R9, well unless they somehow put him in the mix, good luck grinding to get those 6M coins he's worth on the market.

    Oh and then first-owner BS is by far the biggest middle finger out of all of this and is what gave away their true intentions.

    You want the best Icons, well either go full no life all year or you can just open your wallet to get spin at the wheel 👀

    Honorable Mention

    Coin Boosts

    Those 80K bonus you could get early on where clutch as fuck and was a good way to get some capital that you could trade with later on.

    Now that's gone too.

    So yeah, all and all, EA has been cutting corners left right and center making the grind more and more painfull just so they can make you cave in and spend a little more.

    Bringing FUTEconomist was a 200 IQ move for them since now he's gonna use his knowledge of the market to line up EA's agenda instead of helping the playerbase make a bit of extra coins.

    What's up for the future then

    • League SBC packs becoming untradable
    • Less match coins/game
    • Reduced frequency of TOTW Guaranteed SBC - League Upgrade SBCs etc
    • Prime Icons ONLY available through packs

    who knows 👀 all I know is they will stop at nothing and will try to milk us for money we don't even have.

    You may upvote this but toty is overhyped a promo only for the mega rich and big money making for ea look how everyone forgets the problems in the game from gameplay to content and how they are robbing people in purpose lateley they started putting untrade sbc pack challenges and no one cares they are all hyping toty and spending money on packs im not blaming the people that spend money but come on this is a joke ea have robbed us made a mockery out of us and their going to continue this which is very sad
