    Reddit Cup Group results - Announcement

    Hey guys, hope you're all having a nice weekend. Below you'll find the group stage results for the Reddit Cup. I want to say a massive well done to everyone, we had almost every single group hand in their results, meaning we can go into the next round with no dropouts – which must be a first in reddit tournament history.

    The next item on the agenda is how we are going to play the next stage. We can either:

    • continue with the normal set up where 1st of one group plays 2nd of another with two legs or

    Petty revenge against a toxic player

    First things first, I'm shit at Fifa and I know it, but I enjoy the game and that's why I play it. I was losing 7-1 in a WL match and the guy hits me with a message saying 'quit the game you're wasting my valuable time'. Throughout the second half the messages continue about how his 'valuable time' is being wasted, getting increasingly abusive. Eventually I've had enough so I wait till the 89th minute and use up all of my pauses, wasting another 3 or so minutes of his oh so precious time.

    It was a petty thing to do on my part but it was just what he deserved, especially considering how he celebrated and watched replays of all 10 of his goals, which he clearly seemed weren't a waste of his valuable time.

    The moral of the story? Don't be a prick to other players, especially if you're beating them. Not everyone is in it for the WL glory, some of us just enjoy playing even if we are a bit shit.

    I start the game dominating but can't score.

    Opponent goes one goal up.

    I turn the match around and go in front but can't secure a two goal lead despite many chances.

    Opponent scores two rebound goals.

    Unreal time wasting.

    I miss a sitter in the 90th minute.

    Every single loss has been the same this WL.

    Opponents I fear the most in WL

    41212 wide with slow center backs like Vertonghen or Hummels, rare gold meta striker like Werner or Son. You know this formation isn't great at defending but they manage to wreck your attackers anyways.

    Not a very good player but he'd score one goal and you can't score at all for some reason, your expensive players usually start to feel clunky. James or Maeda would then get subbed in and score another goal, does some ridiculous celebration then make sure you see them walking back to kick off. Its 80 minutes they start wasting time and you know it's all over.

    Happens to me every WL at least couple of times. Cest la vie.

    I just played two matches in a row against him, and holy SHIT. He is impossible to knock off the ball, and is a monster on the backcheck. Every shot he takes is going in. He's a menace, if you can afford him, please buy him and discard him. I never want to play against him again.
