The hypocrisy of people who play this game is ridiculous. People only hate things when it goes against them.

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 04:56 PM PST

I beat Ovvy in the weekend league, last week and he complained about my use of team press despite using it more than me. It was fine for him to benefit from it. But when I did, he said that was the only reason I won and it needs to be removed from the game.

When he activated team press I hoofed it and played for the second ball. When I used team press, I kept catching him out because he kept trying to pass it out the back. He blamed team press for the loss despite his unwillingness to change his play style when I activated it.

On top of this he abused the life out of step overs all game. It's hypocritical to complain about people using broken mechanics when you do the same. People only seem to complain about them when they take an L.

People hate drop back and counter attack, but they will play like that. They only hate the tactic when someone uses it against them and wins.

People hate how OP team press is but will abuse it as well. People will use it all weekend and won't complain until their opponent uses it and scores. They abuse it no problem, but someone uses it back and its 'broken' and only 'sweats' use it.

People hate the lack of diversity in teams but will also use the same pool of players.

People hate how OP step overs and certain skill moves are when someone uses it against them and scores, but will also abuse them as well.

People hate their opponent 'spamming skill moves' when they concede but will also do the same in there build-up.

People will get annoyed about their fullback being glitched from the running fake shot and then when they get the ball back will use it up the other end.

What im trying to get at, is people always complain about their opponent using broken things they also use them.

I know people are already complaining about Alessandrini. But man that’s the SBC content I wanna see

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 08:28 AM PST

I know that guy is OP as hell, I know he's cheap and most people will use him, but that is exactly the type of SBC this game needed.

SBCs have been shit for weeks, literally almost everything was unusable, overpriced crap.

Now we finally get some variation at RW (something this game desperately needed), a player with a phenomenal nationality, who can also be used for fun league links, no flaws in the card whatsoever and he's cheap ...

And people are complaining. Come on guys this is the content we need, these type of SBCs that are finally usable, cards that everybody wants to have. I hope they continue boosting previously unusable or lower rated cards so that they become usable again.

Can we talk about the defensive line?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 08:29 PM PST

I think it's absolutely ridiculous that attacking players dictate the defensive line and not the actual center backs themselves.

It happens every game, multiple times each game, where the opposing attacker is making a run and my center back feels the need to track that run all the way to my box and even inside.

This is AI defending and doing this motion means the playing field for the opposition is significantly more open because of all the free space my center back is providing by tracking the run and not holding a solid line.

I concede goals from these situations on a regular basis. I typically finish gold 2 and gold 1 so it's not like I'm an unbelievable player but given my understanding of the game of football itself and my actions in game, it's really inexcusable for the defenders to be doing this automatically.

Surely others have experienced this and all the other ridiculous and broken aspects of the game? Tell me I'm not alone.

The "Run Away" meta is the most boring thing in this game

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 05:33 AM PST

I've not really got an issue with La Croqueta spam, or the OP juggling, or LB dribbling because they at least take a modicum of skill and timing, but there seems to be a growing percentage of the player base who's only route to goal is to use pace to run to the goal line and cut back. If they run into any danger, rather than passing or dribbling around it, they just turn around and run in the opposite direction. For whatever reason, this draws my entire defensive line forward as all of their attackers sprint through. A 180 no scope pass from the guy in retreat and it's a free goal.

I'm actually quite keen on getting slapped by better players this year, as the goals usually have a bit of variety and I feel like it lets me learn the mechanics better, but this style of play is just ridiculously boring to both watch and play against.

    Poor Investment Support Group

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 02:21 PM PST

Has anyone else had some underwhelming investments this year?

Seeing a post about the rise of rare golds I got a bit exited by the Black Friday league sbcs and decided to buy 570 Cucurellas for 750 coins each thinking I'd be able to make about double on each card.

I was horribly wrong, Cucurella did not significantly rise, I overestimated the demand for La Liga Sbcs and managed to pick the league which has the lowest average completion cost.

I feel like I've been unassigned for an eternity. I don't know when this will end, I've been managing to offload them for a meagre 250 coin profit per card, but it's taken me forever and there's still no end in sight.

Has anyone else had any poor investments that have been more hassle than they're worth?

What's the Point of Black Friday?

    Posted: 29 Nov 2020 08:29 PM PST

What's the point of black Friday? The packs are still the same price. The SBCs aren't exactly any cheaper. I ain't American but I thought black Fri was a sale.
