Hackers Steal Wealth of Data from Game Giant EA Posted: 10 Jun 2021 09:14 AM PDT Just when we thought EA couldn't get any more incompetent... ​ "Hackers have broken into gaming giant Electronic Arts, the publisher of Battlefield, FIFA, and The Sims, and stole a wealth of game source code and related internal tools, Motherboard has learned. "You have full capability of exploiting on all EA services," the hackers claimed in various posts on underground hacking forums viewed by Motherboard. A source with access to the forums, some of which are locked from public view, provided Motherboard with screenshots of the messages. In those forum posts the hackers said they have taken the source code for FIFA 21, as well as code for its matchmaking server. The hackers also said they have obtained source code and tools for the Frostbite engine, which powers a number of EA games including Battlefield. Other stolen information includes proprietary EA frameworks and software development kits (SDKs), bundles of code that can make game development more streamlined. It's so sad that we're basically stuck with the way EA treats us. Posted: 10 Jun 2021 12:02 PM PDT Throughout the year, they've always swept anything that could cause controversy under the rug. They've avoided giving SBC's because they know we're all sitting on fodder. They abandon tots when they know people will open packs regardless. They ban certain people and hope we forget. They literally just patched an issue on the final day of the promo. None of the YouTubers call out EA because they're scared to be blacklisted. We can't even do anything to change how they treat is like people did with battlefront. Our only hopes is that PES get their stuff together but that's even unlikely. Edit: people saying quit or stop playing the game, that's not the issue, I'm saying EA have a complete stranglehold and no one can do anything, even speaking out against them is risky for many people, they've basically become the china of companies Edit again: this is why we're never getting change, we're all divided, rather than accept the game as it is, why not try for change. submitted by /u/Helpabrothaoutpleaze [link] [comments]

You can see your opponent before match on PS5 Posted: 10 Jun 2021 10:47 AM PDT I'm raising this for awareness and I don't know if EA or Sony will do anything about it. If you press the home button on the kit selection menu it will show you your opponents name. Why does every promo just fizzle out? Posted: 10 Jun 2021 11:03 AM PDT I just feel like every promo we've had this year has just kind of ended, often with a few days left to go on the actual promo. They start off with 'hey look at these great cards! And sbcs! And objectives!', we all say 'wow!!! They look great' often mixed in with conversations about how overpriced sbcs are etc. But then as it goes on I just kind of ends without any real finale. We've even got this with tots which blows my mind, it's the last day of team of the fucking season and ea released NOTHING. Maybe it's just cos they know people will still buy promo packs and everyone will be distracted with the shiny new festival of futball cards. We all have this natural feeling that promos should have a big finale but this year it's just been ea thinking ahead till the next money grab... I mean 'promo'. Lag since last title update? Posted: 10 Jun 2021 09:23 AM PDT On Xbox in NA. Was on vacation during the recent title update but played a few games yesterday. Ping indicator reads as "normal", but in-game, there's definite lag. A simple ball roll turned into a full 360 ball roll. Even the commentary lags now, which I've never experienced before.
