| Recently tried FIFA after years away from it and must say that FUT feels super toxic. Posted: 21 Jul 2021 11:18 AM PDT I used to love FIFA, most of the teams I came to follow in real life were because of the game. I didn't have cable so thats how I learned about the upcoming players. I played up through about FIFA 2011 and then started playing other games as I just couldn't keep up with having to get the new FIFA game each year. But I loved playing online and while I was never great, I was decent player, averaging around .500. I recently bought FIFA 21 after being inspired by the Euros and Copa and decided to try my hand at the FUT mode that I had heard many friends talk about in years past. First off, it seems a GRIND to get even a decent team on the pitch. But once I got the rust off and had a few gold players in my lineup I tried the divisional rivals mode. It was the most toxic gaming experience I've ever faced. The guy went up 2 goals early and proceeded to try to force me to forfeit. When I wouldn't, they proceeded to score multiple times and would force my to watch the goal over and over then I would get the ball and the gamer would pause for extended periods of time, and proceed to send insults and such. This went on until I finally had enough that I forfeited and took the forfeit penalty. Now I've experienced the toxic online gaming Call of Duty, Halo, Madden, and many others. This was by far the worst I've ever seen. I still play FIFA every few days doing squad battles. But that one match really made it undesirable to to play and really invest in. I dont mean to complain, I am just wondering if this a common thing online and if FUT is really this toxic or just a random one-off. [link] [comments] |

| If EA gave you an account with every single cards on the game, would you still play? Posted: 21 Jul 2021 08:21 PM PDT So I'm seeing a lot of people complaining that Atal is a grind, and that Squad Battles is boring, especially "In JuLy". I think it's a very easy card to get, and the 91 can be done in 4 games if you buy the 87 version. Also 20 games in 30 days is fair, and can also be done in Rivals if offline play is too boring for you. This got me thinking, how many people actually play the game because they want to, and who plays it purely for the collecting aspect? So I ask anyone who'd like to share, if EA were to give you an account with all the players in the game, and all their different versions, would you actually still play the game at all since technically there would be nothing to play for? I've seen some Fifa streamers start RTGs in recent weeks just because they had a stacked club and found it boring, and found that interesting, as they spend so much money and time getting these players, and then start new accounts and don't actually use the players they spent all that money on getting. I personally enjoy playing the game, and try different players, so I tend to change my team a lot when good/fun cards come out, and don't understand why some people play if they actually hate the game so much. | Posted: 21 Jul 2021 07:29 AM PDT I've been a Pes fan since the Winning Eleven days but after today's Pes reveal disaster I'm coming back to fifa full time. Pes is well and truly dead now. Fuck Konami. They completely sold out their core fanbase. I've dabbled in fifa a bit over the last decade but I haven't played it on the ps4 since 2016 or so. How is the career mode? How is the ai? I don't play online so the career mode and the gameplay against the computer is very important to me. I didn't think I would be buying Fifa this year but here we are. I'm hoping it's good. These people and the ones who quit during a penalty or a goal scoring opportunity are definitely the most toxic in the community and it happens way too frequently.
