Got my first ever Elite this Fifa! Posted: 02 Aug 2021 06:47 AM PDT |
Posted: 02 Aug 2021 10:05 AM PDT Have had a few weeks off because of it, but came back to try again. Took an age completing futties Dybala and bought tots Messi and FOF Acuna to play with him and it just feels like I may as well use a gold pl team. I feel like I'm being petulant writing this, yet another rant..but I know the difference between a genuine loss (which is fine) and having to fight the game. Whether it be slider manipulation/poor connection depending on your beliefs for the sluggish gameplay. I literally don't care so much about being competitive, hence why I don't play weekend league. I just want to play my football. Fast, Tika Taka passing with little turns etc is what I enjoy, but it's dictated by connection. You never know what you're going to get day by day [link] [comments] |

Number of 85x10 Attempts with Best Players Pulled - Share Yours Below! Posted: 02 Aug 2021 01:49 PM PDT 6 attempts - Best Pull was Mertens, Muriel (95, 93) and Dias (94) in two separate packs, the rest were a dupe of Rossi, then Sabitzer, and Carrasco as the last one. Tbh it was a great fodder generator [link] [comments] |
I would love the draft mode to be this affordable on FIFA 22 Posted: 02 Aug 2021 06:48 AM PDT Honestly, I'm having a blast just experimenting with new players, using high-end icons I will never get to own, trying new tactics and picking weird formations. I don't overly care for the meta or playing Weekend League anymore, I just want to enjoy the game, and for me the draft mode is among the most enjoyable aspects of UT. [link] [comments] |
FIFA 21 penalties in a nutshell Posted: 02 Aug 2021 04:45 PM PDT |
Got Elite 1 (XBOX T200) on both consoles this week - here's my set of custom tactics Posted: 02 Aug 2021 10:25 AM PDT To the obvious points that will come - yes, it is August. Yes, 60 WL games in August is insane, only done it because I just got my PS5 on Friday, had the weekend free and got XBOX done early. Do not advise people to do it, particularly if you need to use the PS5 pad (the XBOX one is miles better). I played on the new gen consoles but the old gen version of the games, the gameplay on new gen is much weirder in my opinion and the matchmaking is also slightly easier on the top end, if I lose I'd rather lose to good players - as I did this week, don't think any of my 6 losses was to anyone below at least Elite. With that being said, the way I have my custom tactics (CTs) set is really useful to how the META plays out and it allows me to do all the key changes I usually want to do between games on the fly, without needing to pause. This has two advantages: it can very often surprise your opponent, and it helps you keep the tempo high. The last thing I want while losing is to pause and give my opponent the time to take a breather, so to have it all set up prior plays very well into that. Also, while I think this will help people, keep in mind it is suited to my style. I don't have a defensive/holding the lead preset for instance, because I am an extremely aggressive player and I notice that every time I tried to go 532 or something to hold a lead I would often just get pinned and concede the same way I do with any other formation, so I'd rather just keep my main - where I'm already used to defend with - and hope I can get a counter off in those scenarios. Main tactic. 442, RB LB stay back, CMs cover center with the most defensive one on stay back, all 4 attackers on come back. This is what I have been using for most of the year, and what I feel the most comfortable with. The way to play the 442 ideally is with high tempo, using the 2 strikers as a constant through ball threat and on set attacking positions just try and go centrally for most of the time, try and isolate one of your strikers and, if they seem to compact the middle too much for that, use the wingers as decoy. Defensively it's just a very basic formation, good for manual pressing. Auto offside traps are extremely useful though, only thing automatic about this setup but as the attacking AI is so bad it's just essential to have if you are used to the movements. Come back on defense for the 4 attackers is an interesting one too, for the wingers it's mostly a stability/defensive logic but for the strikers it's actually the other way around, they barely come back to defend even with that after a patch on FIFA 20 so it does basically nothing on that end, but when you want to counter it means they are more ready to receive the driven pass right after getting the ball back. On balanced/stay forward I notice them being offside a bit too much on those instances. Secondary tactic. Yes, the classic 4312. LB RB balanced and overlap, CDM stay back cover center, one CM get forward CAM stay forward. This is the most OP setup in the game and one I go to a lot if the game isn't going my way. Many people play it as their main tactic, I prefer the standard 442 as I prefer to press manually instead of relying on the (admitedly very broken) press after possession loss to do it for me, and for manual press narrow has some issues on the wings. Plus it's a riskier formation - though way less risky than it should with my CTs. This just pins people in, you get literally 7 attackers plus an offensive cover to recycle with your CDM, when you lose the ball the press is ridiculously strong and even if they get past it your fullbacks fly back, so it's way harder than it should to catch them on the break. Low attacking width because I want my fullbacks to be isolated and free, plus you have more people close to the ball when you lose it for the AI press. Long ball is the only debatable one, many use balanced or fast build up here but at the stage I often want to switch to this one I want a mix of both, which is what long ball gives you. There are more runs into space, but you don't get all your passing options blitz into the defense. I would love nothing more for this setup - not narrow in itself, I always loved the formation, but this PAPL 7 depth fullbacks thing - to be nerfed to the ground next year, but hey, it works and its August, might as well use it too. All in tactic - version 1. 4312, exact same instructions as the above. It's pretty much the same concept but if you are desperate - think 2+ goals down, or 1 goal down 10 minutes to go. Everyone flying forward, everyone pressing like a bulldog all the time. Just chaos all around. This is one of the main mistakes I see people making btw, so if you take nothing else from this... always have a constant press tactic preset ready. It's incredibly strong, virtually impossible to keep the ball against and this way you don't need to pause the game to do it. If your opponent really wants to rat you out and you don't have the preset on he can just keep the ball to stop your pause from going into effect, and when it does it's often too late. All in tactic - version 2. 424, LB RB stay back, CMs cover center with one on stay back. This is the one setup I only added this week. I noticed in some games the 4312 I used to pin people in did pin them in and give me the ball in a lot of dangerous areas, but as I'm not as good at attacking with the 4312 as with the 442 I had troubles capitalizing. This is pretty much the exact same as my 442 offensively but with the wild all-in press of my other gung-ho tactic, it really helped me unlock some late game situations as it gave me my usual attacking patterns (but with more involved wingers) but it also pinned people in. Call it a mix of the last 4312 and the main tactic, but I'm glad I have it now and it makes much more sense for me than a defensive formation, because I noticed I wouldn't go to those anyway. So here it is. It needs to be said that tactics don't make a player in FIFA, but these are the ones I found to be more suited to what the game asks with the amount of games I played this year (wayyy too many). Your skill at the game is the key, but they should help a bit regardless of rank. They are very attacking in general too, so if you just want to have some fun in August they are great as well. If you have any question regarding the players (added below) or advice in general at how to improve your general FIFA level/gameplay feel free to ask too. Is anyone else sick of defending but not winning? Posted: 02 Aug 2021 09:03 AM PDT I'm sick of defending against skillers but their player keeps the ball because the skill is glitched. Anyone else? [link] [comments] |
How many of you actually use the 5 star skill moves? Posted: 02 Aug 2021 09:36 AM PDT I'm Div 1 around the mid 2100 SR and regularly finish G1 in WL if I can be bothered to play all the games, I rarely ever see people actually use all the 5 star skill moves, even playing against people with 99 Neymar it's just la croquetas and ball rolls, just wondering if skill moves are so important, why don't people utilise them all? Im a gold 1 player in champs but can't for the life of me string wins together in draft. Posted: 02 Aug 2021 05:06 AM PDT Currently on 8 wins and all of them have been first round then instantly knocked out in the second. Can't for the life of me understand whats happening. My players won't make runs. I'm running 10 depth and my team barely get up the pitch so its usually a 2v5 since everyone else is playing as defensive as they can. Mbappe TOTS playing like base glen murray. Vardy TOTS cant hit the target from in the box and don't get me started on the defenders im having to use. Soyuncu and Conor Coady you'd think were 12 years old and never touched a ball before the amount of mistakes they make. [link] [comments] |

How to defend this? ( please help ) Posted: 02 Aug 2021 05:54 PM PDT Last fifa I played was fifa 18 and I decided to buy fifa 21 on sale and I dont know what they did to this game in a span of 3 years. I decided to play some draft because I wanna test high rated players without buying them. So far I played 30 games of draft and I only won like 7 of them and the main problem is defending. I dont know what to do because my defence acts like a bunch of kids who first time touched ball.... And even if I know where the ball is going the 99 pace Mbappe is just toooooo op. Here is the video I recorded on my atempt to defend 99 Neymar card. I don't know what else could I do but I just cant defend situations like this and it is so so so so anoying. [link] [comments] |
