    If normal players can get crazy stat boosts then so can icons.

    I'm tired of seeing people say "pirlo wasn't fast" or " X striker never really had pace". What's the point? If Robben at the age of 37 can have 98 pace and a 4* (!) Weak foot so can dusty icons have pace, dribbling and so on. So many unrealistic upgrades to players like Di Maria, Robben, Atal, Adama and so on, surely they can make bad icons usable by giving them more speed or better skill moves.

    Based off of this year, icons were so underwhelming and were never worth paying for, because you could always get a cheaper option and because EA try way to hard to make them realistic, meanwhile we've got a LB Adama Traore and a 5* 5* CM Atal card.

    What I think would fix this would be to keep the normal icon cards, but add in some of the cards that need the boost into promos.

    For example fut birthday Rivaldo with 4* 5*, same for Shearer.

    Maybe a fut freeze Zambrotta at ST or a CB Vieira

    A Rulebreakers Bobby Moore for that very need pace boost and maybe a rulebreakers Pirlo or one of the other slow CM/CDMs

    They could even chuck them in TOTS or TOTY as throwback cards to previous seasons in their careers.

    Obviously this wouldn't work with a lot of promos, but it really isn't that hard to figure out a way. What do you think?

    Idk who needs to hear this, but there's no need to be sweating it up after you complete the "Fine Victories" objective. Just played a dude that quit after I went up 2-0 (which is fine because I don't feel entitled to golden goal and it allows me to do more objectives at once). But then I matched up with him again and the man sweated it up for 90 mins when we could've just traded objectives if he was willing to play the entire match. I was clearly playing meunier at CAM for a reason. Use your common sense people.

    Hear me out - quitting should go unpunished

    FUT - the game mode where quitting is punished is a 1 v 1 game mode. It is not a MOBA like league of legends where you play as part of a team and.your success relies on your team mates. Quitting in FUT only effective yourself and your opponent.

    Appeasing your opponent is easy. What do they want? The win. So we just give them that.

    Quitting and DNF in FUT, in my opinion, is a historic feature. For those of you who remember the early days of FUT mostly 10 - 12, the main purpose of playing matches was just to play them there was no overall reward system or divisions or champions events. You just played to enjoy the match so if someone quit it was like "oh okay, then. That sucks"

    Today is a very different gaming climate, people are playing to win. Or maybe even more likely people are playing for rewards. And people want rewards as quickly as possible. Therefore no ones reaction to having some quit on them in champs is "That sucks." People are now happy and onto the next one.

    For the person that quits the majority of the times this happens is because they realise they cannot win the game or the game is making them angry - because fifa. And they don't want to ruin their day.

    But instead the quitter is still punished or dettered from quitting because of not only losing rewards but gaining less rewards in future matches.

    The solution I give is to allow quitting through the pause menu forfeit. (Turning off the console could be exempt from this).

    Firstly - the player that is quit against gets the win.

    Secondly - the player gets reduced rewards and DNF is removed from the game. Let's say we are talking about a fut champs game and the 400 rivals points.

    Completing the game rewards 400 points. We then scale down the rewards to the nearest number divisible by 9 - which is 360 then divide that by 9 to give 40 points every 10 minutes.

    So quitting at 10 minutes gives 40 points. Quitting at 20 minutes gives 80 points up until quitting at 90 minutes but not completing the the game gives 360 points.

    The exact same system would work for match coins.

    That way you get rewarded for time you spent. There is a far reduced incentive to rubber band and there is no incentive to farm coins by starting and quitting games.

    You could, but don't have to, add in 2 caveats.

    1) you need to be losing in order to use the pause forfeit. But I would prefer all forfeits hand over the win even if drawing in game.

    2) the game must have surpassed 10 minutes. Otherwise no rewards would be available to give.

    TLDR; People playing FUT want to win games and win them quick. If you beat your opponent convincingly and that makes them want to quit that should be fine. They take what they earned and both parties can move on. There is no one else on the quitters team that wanted to keep playing so don't try to make that the case. FUT has changed.

    TOTS Courtois appreciation post :)

    Just finished the BuLi WL+ objective and had to play through 17 games of SS Sommer and 8 games of TOTS Neuer. The two of them are quite possibly the most useless goalkeepers I've ever tried on this game. Both of them simply refused to save ANYTHING and wouldn't catch any shots unless they were directly aimed at them (and even then they'll still would only catch 1 shot out of 5 or more). After experiencing the pain and suffering that these guys put me through I have to show appreciation to my favourite keeper on the game TOTS Courtois. Ever since I did his SBC he's been a starter in my team and very rarely does he disappoint. He's 6'6" and unlike the other 2 previously mentioned GKs he actually gives his all to save incoming shots towards the net. Him and Ramos EOE have helped me win so many games of WL and Rivals, It's ridiculous. There's not a better feeling than seeing your opponent get past your defenders, and knowing that you still have a high chance to not concede a goal.

    By far the best keeper I've used in-game.

    Honestly, What can I do to counter some of this crap? I just want to have fun with my squads and players. I've been playing the bad teams (when I get them) to do Atal and some other objectives on world class. Rather than it being chill it's infuriating.

    It feels like playing through remote play, my players are extremely slow. First touches are ridiculous at times. Knock ons are inconsistent whether using the thumb stick or double tapping the trigger. Cancels are inconsistent. Rarely actions take so long the game just cancels them itself. Player switching is somehow worse than before, the player switch indicator is a lie. Even right stick switching is awful. I know it's not input delay because the trainer is showing my intended pass or shot.

    I was getting tracked, perfectly marked and at times bodied by Jack Stephens with -4 to all stats, all the while my 97 Dybala is dribbling like he's 4 years old and PTG Foden was playing basketball. I played a team with a ST at CB with literally 1 defending and 50 pace and he was doing the same BS as Stephens was.

    It genuinely feels like the debuffs aren't actually being applied. I swear they're reading my inputs because the AI covers my moves even when I've made a mistake and don't even know where I'm going myself.

    It never used to be this bad, I used to play co-op with my brother each weekend and had a lot of fun.
