It would be pretty unfair on me if I took all that time to relegate myself down a few divisions and then I end up having to play other Division 3 players when I get there. Posted: 11 Nov 2019 10:32 AM PST Challenges are better and give players like me a chance to have their favorite Icon in their squad. The majority of the player base don't open hundreds of packs each week and don't spend weeks trading. Normal or casual players never stood a chance of getting an Icon, especially not this early in the game. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 11 Nov 2019 12:03 PM PST At the start I was like yeah this is a great idea, if I want to try out a card before buying it I can use for 3 or 4 games and get a feel for it without wasting coins on chem styles for a card and losing the tax when I don't like him. In reality, my club has about 3 pages of loan cards that i'll never use and this will just grow because every other reward or reward pack is a TIFO or a loan card or loan pack and the only items on the season progress aside from packs that are kinda cool are the balls. Like people may not like ball of yarn but at least it's in game and it's unique and kinda fun, you see the centre circle once a game and you're trying to skip it and I don't need 836 of them in my club come the end of the year [link] [comments] |

The reason why is not important, but I respect that so many players are having fun and willing to go through the grind for the icons. Here's why these objectives have ruined the game, or at least Rivals, for me. I'm now in Div 4. Have been for over a month now. All my matches have either been some poor dude having his 70-odd rated team lose to mine because he is a Div 4 player trying to complete some objective, or me getting demolished by a 70-odd rated team because someone from Div 1 relegated themselves to complete some objective, or me getting messages from my opponent asking me to let them complete some objective in exchange for a win (I usually oblige). The results? 2 months into the game and I've absolutely no clue what my skill level truly is. I used to think that Rivals is the most accurate gauge of one's skill level among all the modes, but this year it's simply not the case anymore. EA should've kept objectives to Friendlies and Squad Battles. [link] [comments] |

The Brazilian and UCL objectives can theoretically be completed at the same time, so the absolute minimum # of games here is 29 matches. Assuming that each match takes .25 hours, that's 7.25 hours as an absolute minimum to unlock all tokens if you win every game. Mix in some draws and losses, and a more realistic estimate is probably 13-16 hours to unlock all 8 tokens. Offline Tokens:
That's 23 matches at the absolute minimum. 23 matches x .25 hours = 5.75 hours as an absolute minimum to unlock all offline tokens. If you lose some games, that can easily expand to 7-8 hours or more. Altogether, the average person is looking at probably 15-20 hours of gameplay to unlock all 12 tokens. It can be a little faster than that if you're a phenomenal player, but it can also be a lot slower if you have a lot of losses/draws/time wasting mixed in. Add that to the ~15 hours it would've taken to get all 12 tokens for Swaps 1 and you're looking at about 30-35 solid hours of gameplay to unlock Drogba. That's the equivalent of playing about 3-4 full WLs. [link] [comments] |

Yes I get they are decent (more like OP) and affordable players, but don't you get tired of seeing everyone else being just as uncreative? Do you really enjoy playing the game that way? Out of all the 1000's of cards in Ultimate Team you want to play with the exact same players as everyone else.. what's the fun in that? I just really don't get it... EDIT: Glad to see a lot of people agree with me and to know I'm not the only one who sees it this way. Most people who don't agree and probably use these players themselves use the argument "winning is fun". Which is a fair point, but to me buying a whole game to use the same few player all the time and don't try anything new seems a bit sad. Whether you win the games or not. And for everyone who felt offended by this, I'm sorry but I literally asked "why?". I'm not calling anyone out, I just wanted everyone's honest opinion. [link] [comments] |
