    As you may have noticed €A Sports has a new channel to "communicate".

    It was clear that they´re gonna pretend to change something before Black Friday.

    They left without a comment after all of their developer accounts were deactivated on twitter 18 days ago and there even is no sorry or any statement about what happened earlier.

    Questions about servers get no reaction.

    Even pro footballers get ignored.

    If you wanted another reason to complete this SBC, keep in mind that the Base Icons will no longer be available in packs since mid-December. So if you really need to pack that base Schmeichel, hurry up!

    In my second year of uni in Southampton Sadio Mane hit on and exchanged numbers with my housemate. She declined his advances and I still to this day remind her weekly that it's her fault I don't get to use his pro card.

    Based on Futbin prices, the SBC costs about 500k. Now, if we assume that every Icon is equally likely to be packed, the expected return on your 500k investment is a player worth about 730k. Not bad right? Let's dig a little deeper though.

    There is a discrete loss of value in having a player as an untradeable card. From previous Fifa's, Icon SBC's cost about 50-75% of the player's market value. There were exceptions that translated into highly value SBC's so, for our sake, we can estimate that an untradeable Icon is worth about 80% of their current market value. This puts the expected value of the Icon card received at a more modest 587k. Still profiting!

    However, the value of getting an untradable card worth less than our investment is significantly lower. This is because we could just buy the exact card we wanted with our 490k and sell it later recouping some value. So lets assume that for every card less than 490k, we could just buy it and sell it on later losing about 20% of our initial investment. EA Tax is only 5% so this would be a sizable loss. This means that the actual cost for a John Barnes card is 20% his list price of 474k. With this caveat, the expected return of this SBC is 494k. We are basically at a breakeven point already.

    In reality, every Icon is not equally likely to be packed so this could easily skew much harsher towards the less desirable Icons. Additionally, if you did this multiple times, getting a repeat Icon would be devastating since there is currently nothing for you to trade an Icon in for. Plus, you may pack an Icon you don't even want and might not replace a current player on your team. Overall, this SBC is designed to try and rinse the market before the wave of packs opened next week. Stay away!
