Chelsea with a back 5 FIFA pace of 76,70, 59,68 and 80 . Won the biggest trophy there is. Take note EA

    Posted: 30 May 2021 05:02 AM PDT

I hope one day we get a game that can reflect defensive intelligence in game to over rule pace. It's madness the best defenders in Fifa are usually bang average in real life.

The Stadium Scoreboard says I’m about to concede in 3 minutes...

Opinion: The full-back meta is the consequence of a hypocritical community.

    Posted: 30 May 2021 09:00 AM PDT

In previous FIFA titles, the community has always been complaining about defenders catching up to fast attackers. For example: "How can a 76 pace van Dijk catch up to my 96 pace Mbappe?". When people realised that this isn't happening as much in FIFA 21 people started using full-backs at centre-back so their defenders can catch up to fast attackers again. And now people are complaining about the full-back meta and are blaming EA for it.

I just think this is extremely hypocritical and ironic from the FIFA community. I'm not saying I am for a fullback meta, I think it's stupid and it's ruining the purpose of the game, football.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this topic because I certainly think it's interesting and an important topic for the upcoming FIFA 22.

Skeptical about scripting, so I started keeping track

    Posted: 30 May 2021 07:46 AM PDT

In the constant arguments about scripting, someone claimed that "most" of the goals scored in their games seemed to happen in stoppage time. So, I decided to actually keep track of this during this week's win/loss. These are my results from 30 games. Because, of course, I always remember the late equalizers that I give up and don't ever remember the games where I lose or win by a few goals. This is only a 30 game sample, but it's what I have to go on.

128 total goals scored for both teams

54 of the goals were scored in stoppage time

41 of the stoppage time goals were equalizers

3.5 minutes of stoppage per game on average

    2700 regular time minutes = 74 goals

    105 stoppage time minutes = 54 goals

42% of all goals in my games came in stoppage time and over 75% of those goals were equalizers.

These numbers are absolutely staggering to me. My WL averaged more than 1 goal per 2 minutes of stoppage time. Whereas regular time produced 1 goal about every 37 minutes. Does this prove that scripting exists? Of course not. But, it should give some small pause to people that patently deny it, as well.

    No Eredivisie TOTS SBC

    Posted: 30 May 2021 10:10 AM PDT

I know only a few % of the player base is interested in the players from the Eredivisie, but why is it the only league who got a TOTS team that didn't get a SBC? Well no Gravenberch I guess...

Is this the FIFA where the in-game stats matter the least?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 10:15 AM PDT

Serious question.... this is my first FIFA, and the pace stat is the only face attribute that seems to mean anything in-game.

    Shooting -

    • Volleys and Pens are trivial (which is fine)
    • Long shots almost always get blocked, so this stat barely comes into play
    • Positioning is no good as well, work rates seem to actually impact attacking positioning a lot more
    • Finishing is boosted to 90+ for every attacker since the beginning due to chem styles, plus shot power, weak foot, height, and custom animations all factor in more for shooting. Also, keepers are useless, so goals go in anyway
    • Shot Power is the only one that is actually felt in-game, even here animations/body type and height play a significant role

    Passing -

    • Crossing is pretty much ignored by everyone as headers are useless, sometimes seen to be used in counters but that's it
    • Fk Accuracy - Varane at the goal line doesn't care about it
    • Curve mostly factors in with the above two... so not very useful
    • Vision - Not sure what it does; apparently, it helps in long passes but gonna leave this
    • Short Passing - Be it TOTS Muller or Gold Brandt, all of them pass straight to the keeper or Kante's feet anyway. On the other hand, through balls from CDMs from go brrr...
    • Long Passing is alright as it is only responsible for the aired balls, which seem fine to me

    Dribbling -

Not gonna bother with all of them separately as basically - Body type, Skill moves, Height, and connection are far more important than the actual dribbling stats.

Case in point - TOTS Haaland

    Defending -

Pace is almost all that matters. A favorable body type is a lot more important than the actual tackling or interception stats as well. Also, Heading is here for some reason, but it is hilariously irrelevant as well.

Case in point - TOTS Hummels

    Physicals -

    • Jumping is useless as headers are absolute trash; even open goals don't go in
    • Stamina actually matters a lot, so this works as intended
    • Strength is again pointless when Gold Neymar can stay up after multiple tackles from TOTS Tapsoba, while TOTS Lewandowski gets floored by Gold Varane easily. No clue how it works honestly
    • Aggression is more important than the actual strength when it comes to showing physicality, so I suppose it works

So the things that really matter are

    • Body Type - Absolutely makes or breaks a player
    • Skill Moves - No dribbling without these
    • Height - Even being 6ft (football average) can be detrimental if not countered by a good body type
    • Custom Animations - Shooting animations or tackling animations are more important than actual shooting or tackling stats
    • Work rates - Wild attribute but very important for a game this AI dependent

And the worst part is that these don't usually get upgraded or edited by EA wrt the meta. Don't get me wrong I am not against giving players individuality, but I hate that it makes the actual attributes pointless. All it does is re-enforce the meta; no amount of boosts will make Haaland better in-game than Mbappe, for example.

I really hope that the next one is better in this regard, as I run a Bundesliga team and don't want to wait till April to get players even comparable to Gold Mbappe or Varane.

Who is this game made for?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 12:36 PM PDT

Thats a question that I ask myself from time to time.

Its obliously not for people that enjoy actual football since it has absolutely zero in common with the beatiful game that we call football.

It's not for casuals because you need to smash more buttons than a professional tekken player. You need to know all the op skillmoves, need to know where to use them and so on.

It's also not made for hardcore players, because there is so little skillgap. If you compare the game to sth like counter strike or rocket league, where you can actually own if you have the skill, its nowhere near those.

Fifa is certainly not made for the pros/esports. ahaha sorry i cant use the words "fifa" and "esports" in the same sentence without laughing. Let's be honest. fifa (at least 20 and 21) esports event are a pure snoozefest. I'd rather watch Cats 10 times a row than watching one single competitive game of fifa21.

So who do we have left? The 12 year old fortnite kids that just wanna make you rage? Idk, at least, in fortnite you need skill to be good.

So who is this game designed for? Just menu grinders and credit card users that chill in menus and never actually play the game?

Some tips for reaching Elite from G1

    Posted: 30 May 2021 10:11 PM PDT

After being Gold 1 for like 9999 weeks in a row, I am finally able to reach Elite two times during the TOTS period. So I would like to share some tips to those who are struggling and would like to reach Elite once.

First of all, I fully understand that I would not be a consistent Elite player after all since I sucked at skill moves. I just cannot do elasticos, ball roll scoop and directional nutmeg, all I can do are fake shots and scoop turns. I do run a meta team through and I believe every serious players can afford a meta team in current stage.

So here are my tips to fulfill my (or your) objective to reach Elite once:

    1. Only play your games when the server is responsive - It might be the hardest one to achieve, but when I played my games during mid-night the gameplay is just so good and surprisingly enjoyable. The skill gaps are not that huge in the game, I believe for every G1 players, we stood a chance against every opponents except those Top 200 Psychopath if the gameplay is responsive. (But also it was the reason I cannot be a consistent elite player as I cannot play like to week in and week out)
    2. Use press after possession loss and 7 Depth - Press after possession loss just give you free goals against lesser opponents and reduce the chance of dropping games to lesser opponents. I only turn it off (switch to Balance) when my opponent is good at long pass, mean he has the comprosure to read the minimap and react. The auto-offside trap of 7 Depth is huge. Despite everyone is complaining about dropback, I 100% prefer my opponents to play dropback. One entry pass and first time fake shot they are done.
    3. Learn to defend the meta (directional nutmeg and through ball) - As mentioned by many, when you reach elo +10, all your opponents do are directional nutmeg and through ball. As such, by default you should always assume they are going to do it. For directional nutmeg, I used to anticipate and create distance between the defender, but I found that it was not effective as > 50% of the time your opponent just take the ball back right away even you intercepted the ball. Instead, you have to anticipate the exit and stay very tight to the attacker. Ideally you can poke the ball in the very beginning even the animation start, but in case he manage to pull off the bullshit animation, you can still have a chance to turn and slide the ball. For through ball, it is rather easy. As soon as your opponent do a driven pass to his striker, you start to right stick switching to your last defender and run all the way back to your goal.
    4. Use Pope - Yes it is very subjective but he won me games, period. I used TOTS Ederson in one of my WL and he costed me the elite.
    5. Don't care about the ping - For my region, I can get games with 2-4ms or 30-40ms. I used to only start the games with 2-4ms but I come to a conclusion that it does not matter. The only thing matter is server responsiveness (point 1). My Mertens still turn like a truck in 2-4ms games when the server is shit. Also, I won most of my game under 30-40ms, I don't know why but maybe the lag compensation does help in this case?

Hope these tips can help you achieve Elite at some points during Fifa 21!

    Victoria Concordia Crescit (Arsenal Past)

    Posted: 30 May 2021 04:49 PM PDT

Taking a break from my CAF Project series, I've decided to go the route of the Past and Present team. However, in my case, its straight up past. My plan for the future is to do P&P's of past Champions League winners. Also, the tactics will be based on those used by the particular side in the past. However, before we get to all that, I've decided to do a test run with the club I support, Arsenal. So, here we go.

    1. The XI & Bench

Reminds me of the good ol' days

So obviously, I went with the Invincibles formation as my base (4-4-2 [2] worked better than the base for me).

Defense: Pressure on Heavy Touch W2/D7

Offense: Possession W3, Players in Box 7

    GK: Come for Crosses/Sweeper Keeper

    FBs: Join the Attack/Overlap

PIM Petit: Man Mark/Stay Back/Cover Center

Vieira: Cut Passing Lanes/Get Forward/Cover Center

PIM Pires: Come Back/Cut Inside/Come Short/Get Into Box

PIM Overmars: Come Back/Cut Inside/Get in Behind/ Get Into Box

PIM Bergkamp: Stay Central/False 9/Come Back

Henry: Drift Wide/Get in Behind/Stay Forward

I did have backup plans, in case this failed

Plan B (a.K.a. Arteta Plan) for when trailing

Defense: Pressure on Heavy Touch W3/D5

Offense: Fast Build Up W6/Players in Box 8

    Or……

Plan C (a.k.a 2017 FA Cup Final plan) for when tied at the break

Defense: Pressure on Heavy Touch W3/D4

Offense: Possession W3/Players in Box 5

I'll go into detail on the backup instructions if anyone asks and/or cares.

    2. The Weekend (A.k.A. How I almost bottled Gold 3)

Man, I had some issues to work out in that 17-0 game

So the weekend went as follows:

    a. Friday - (3-7) Dropped my first 6 games before winning 3 out of my last 4. I was very upset and that's where the 17-0 came in.

    b. Saturday - (8-2; 11-9 overall) Much, MUCH better. Gameplay felt way smoother and got some RQ's along the way.

    c. Sunday - (3-7) I felt i was playing like real life Arsenal considering how many games I blew or how I left it late. Gameplay was awful and so much BS was happening but the job got done. Gold 3 was the aim after six straight weeks of Silver 1

    3. Stats & Reviews

PIM Petr Cech - 6/10 (Hard to rate considering how he bailed my out at times but let too many goals in as well. Also, his kicking is less than ideal)

IF Matthieu Debuchy - 5.5/10; 1 AST (Given that pace rules, he was always going to be in trouble. Felt outmatched more often than not, but still made some decent tackles when needed)

PIM Sol Campbell - 7.5/10; 1 G/1 MOTM (Held the back line together. On occasion, some players were still getting by him (cough Mbappe cough) but was more than enough to kill attacks and defend corners…when I was allowed to switch to him)

IF Gabriel Paulista - 6.5/10; 1 AST (Did better than I thought he would. Surprisingly kept attackers at bay. But often he was the last man back, and it often did not end well)

Prime Ashley Cole - 8/10; 1 G (Got up and down the pitch with a vengeance. Able to keep up with pace attackers and dispossess them. Still, sometimes he was too far up, and got dusted.)

PIM Emmanuel Petit - 7/10; 1G / 4A (He may turn like a truck but he is strong in his tackles. Not as strong as his compatriot but strong. Able to carry the ball and hold off opposition. Some tackles could have been better and he should not bullied off the ball so easily)

Prime Patrick Vieira - 9.5/10; 1G / 7 A / 3 MOTM (I love this card with everything that is in me. Good games, bad games, horrid games, he is the one constant I can rely on. Tackles, interceptions, got up and down the pitch. Did it all.)

PIM Marc Overmars - 9/10; 10 G/ 19 A (Majority of wing play went through him and he did not disappoint. Whether it was pace or dribbling, he usually found a way past his man and found an open man. Or took the shot on himself.)

PIM Robert Pires - 8/10; 9 G / 9 A / 1 MOTM (Let me preface by saying I hate how EA did this man. Was he outpaced, damn right he was. Could he be dispossessed easily, yep. But could he pick out pass and deliver a corner kick, ABSOLUTELY. He also could shoot from near any angle, so that's a plus)

PIM Dennis Bergkamp - 10/10; 27 G / 25 A / 10 MOTM (The Iceman….a fitting nickname. When he wasn't delivering a final ball (usually to his partner), he was finishing attacks off himself. Power, Finesse, chipping keepers, he delivered every time).

Prime Thierry Henry - 10/10; 44 G / 13 A / 15 MOTM (The King. If there was a gripe I had is that his heading could have been better [but that's FIFA in general]. Everything else, was damn near perfect. From straight attacks to free kicks, he was on it)

FUT Birthday Lukas Podolski - 6.5/10; 2 G / 1A (Main SuperSub, usually coming on for either Pires or Bergkamp. Pacy enough to make a difference when facing exhausted opposition and has a hell of a left foot)

FUT Birthday Mesut Ozil - 6.5/10; 2 G / 1 A (When Podolski came on, Ozil wasn't far behind. Dribbling was great, passing (considering gameplay) was great and even got a game winning goal to keep G3 alive)

Headliner Henrikh Mkhitaryan - 6/10; 1 A (Not as much as an impact as the previous subs but still offered an option going forward)

IF Serge Gnabry - 6/10; 1 A (Brought him on for Debuchy to try to see if that could slow down the attack some [middling results] )

Record Breaker Cesc Fabregas - 6/10 (Came on in garbage time when the game was lost, offered little but showed some spark).

    4. Verdict and Next Team

I did have fun with this team and being to score some vintage style Arsenal goals put a smile on my face. Still, maybe playing that narrow shouldn't be in future plans. I was going to be very disappointed if I didn't hit Gold 3 but luckily I got it. But let the Champions League project kick off proper with who else but…

    Insert Florentino Perez joke here

    Until next time…

2 things should be removed from FUT

    Posted: 30 May 2021 09:42 AM PDT

1: realistic animations = the ones where your player just doesn't wanna get up intently because he rather argue with refs decision, also the fake injury one as well.

2: IN FUT no player should be allowed to use their hand apart from the keeper...

It doesn't happen often but when your opponent blocks a shoot with their hand because while the player makes a tackles and puts one his hand up and it "accidently" hits his hand it's a bit frustrating. + When the keeper also slides outside the box and hits his hand it's a bit annoying..their hands should either be disabled in game so the ball can go through OR be called as a handball

Obviously this would be controversial Because if it's goes through its "BS" but if it's gets called as a handball it's BS as well because you're not actually controlling your player..

3-5-2 Elite 2 WL Recap w/ Tactics and Player Reviews (including Aouar TOTS)

    Posted: 30 May 2021 11:01 PM PDT

Hello! This is my second time hitting Elite 2 this FIFA and I'm so pumped that it fell on the Ligue 1 TOTS week!!! I posted my recap and some tips last time which people found helpful so here's an updated 3-5-2 gameplay guide with some new tips. I finished 25-5. I play in Americas on Xbox.

    Team:

    https://preview.redd.it/5svanexube271.png?width=1698&format=png&auto=webp&s=5cfe0303ff1deee2c6bb6d347e59b900f49ff53b

So I start in a 4-5-1 for chem but switch to my 3-5-2 setup in game.

My bench sorted by playtime (most played starting from the left): TOTS Henrique, WIF Diatta, IF Clauss, TOTS Andre, WIF Thauvin, TOTS Gundogan, PRIME Hernandez

    TACTICS and TIPS

    https://preview.redd.it/80ovvp6wbe271.png?width=1696&format=png&auto=webp&s=dccb4609d4788469446c37c1d7e81fdac55b21ba

I only run 1 tactic (pictured). If I'm down in a close game against someone who plays keep away I'll pause and switch to constant pressure around the 80th minute. But I only did that twice. One was successful, the other a complete disaster as I was simply outmatched. I'm all in on this 3-5-2 tactic as I don't find switching to less familiar formations gives me a good chance at winning. And I'm a firm believer that if you are winning there's a reason. Stay aggressive.

In a match I adjust in two ways. Subs and gameplay. In terms of subs I bring out my wingers every game around the 70th minute due to stamina. If I'm winning or it is tied I sub in TOTS Henrique at LM and WIF Diatta at RM. If I'm losing I bring in WIF Thauvin at LM instead of Henrique. If I'm winning by a goal against an opponent abusing my wings I'll bring in IF Clauss at RM instead of WIF Diatta. And if I'm going to overtime I'll usually sub in either TOTS Andre for FB Renato/Essien depending on who is more tired or WIF Thauvin for TOTS Aouar at CAM. In terms of gamplay adjustments if I'm playing against a 4-4-2 I'll focus my attacks down the middle and if I'm playing against a 4-1-2-1-2 (2) I'll try and attack down the wings.

On offense the meta has changed a bit since I last got Elite 2 and it took me a while to adjust. I've basically stopped using the bridge (only scored once because of it) and replaced it with the directional nutmeg. Although I will admit I'm still not fluent with it causing needless turnovers. Other than that I use ball rolls, heel to heels, fake shot stop into croquetas, drag backs, roulettes, and the occasional elastico. These are all must learns if you want to get Elite because they help create space in the box for shots, which are few and far between against good defenders. No need for cancels, very few players actually do them well anyways. In terms of finishing, be patient, look for the highest percentage chance and know when to go for the goal. If you are in a one on one try to ball roll the keeper or hold on to the ball just a second longer to see if the keeper moves his keeper far post to cover the cross body shot. And don't forget about the cheeky chip if the keeper is caught in no man's land.

I usually score my goals in two ways. When the defense is not set, driven crosses from the right side to a runner in the box coming from either Eto'o drifting wide or my right wing, Sambia. And when the defense is set, passing the ball around the outside of the box until one of my attackers is isolated 1v1 with a CB after which I will use one of the skill moved mentioned earlier to try and create space for a shot.

On defense I try to pressure the opponent as much as possible with whoever is closest to the ball carrier. But I try and stay mindful not to drag my CDMs too far wide. I once read on here that the key to Elite is keeping your CDMs central and I believe it. I constantly switch between my two CDMs to keep them in front of the box pressuring and blocking the passes to the strikers. Eventually the opponent makes a bad pass or takes a bad touch and I pounce in for the tackle with whoever is closest to the ball be that a CDM, LM/RM, or CB.

    Player Instructions

GK: Comes for crosses, Sweeper Keeper

    CBs: Default

LM/RM: Come back on defense, Stay Wide, Get In Behind, Get Into Box For Crosses, Normal Interceptions

Left CDM (Essien): Stay Back While Attacking, Cut Passing Lanes, Normal Interceptions, Cover Center

Right CDM (Renato): Balanced, Cut Passing Lanes, Normal Interceptions, Cover Center

CAM: Stay Forward, Get Into Box For Crosses, Conservative Interceptions, Stick To Position

Left ST (Neymar): Balanced Width, Mixed Attack, Basic Defensive Support, Conservative Interceptions

Right ST (Eto'o): Drift Wide, Get In Behind, Basic Defensive Support, Conservative Interceptions

    Player Reviews

Ter Stegen (GK): Solid GK. Makes some really clutch saves. I like him. Only keeper I would rather have is PIM Yashin cuz man he gave me some tough games. 7.5/10

FB Hermoso (LCB): I got him untradeable so I decided to spend coins elsewhere and he is decent. He has his games and his moments where he is incredible. But he is easily the weak point of my team and I think good players know that because he gets picked on a lot at +15 ELO. I think the H/M work rates and his small frame let him down at the elite level. He's fast but the power curve has made it so that he was usually the slowest defender on the pitch this WL. I would replace him with TOTS Kimpembe if I decide to do that objective. 6.5/10

RTTF Varane (CCB): Beast. Everyone knows that. Super fast, long legs, tall, great tackling, great defensive awareness. He shut down a ton of beastly attackers this WL. 9/10

BABY Maldini (RCB): My only WB at CB but I don't count it since Maldini was a CB most of his career and he doesn't have the skillset of most WBs in game. He's fast, great in the tackle, and always well positioned. I really like him. He only lacks strength and aerial presence. 7.75/10

FB Atal (LM): I'll be keeping him in my starting line up at this position for the rest of the game. Great all around player. The 5* WF allows me to play him on the left and gives me the option to cut in or stay wide and cross. I like him for that a lot. He's also fast and solid on defense which is important for the wide mids in the 3-5-2. I also score the occasional goal with him thanks to his great dribbling, 5* skills, and solid finishing. Usually I'll score with him by cutting in from the wing and doing an elastico into the box. Only let down is medium defensive work rate which means my wings are vulnerable to counter attacks if he decides to take his time tracking back. 7.5/10

FB Sambia (RM): I'll probably keep him rest of game as well. He plays the role of the workhorse winger. Excellent defensively due to his size and speed. He also has 99 crossing with engine which allows me to score a lot of goals by way of driven crosses. His 5* SM and decent finishing means I'll score the occasional sneaky goal with him as well, I think people sleep on his offensive game. Although his height can make him feel a little clunky on the ball which limits his offensive potential. And similar to Atal his medium defensive work rate does bite me at times. 7.25/10

MOMENTS Essien (LCDM): I used his baby version a lot but felt the power curve had caught up to him so I did the ICON SBC for his PIM and wow so good. This version is slightly better on defense but most importantly he can pass and dribble adequately! He even came in clutch with a 90th min game winner. His stamina is excellent and he plays the role of ball winning midfielder superbly. His pace and defensive skills allow me to apply lots of pressure on the ball carrier, cover dangerous runs, and create nasty turnovers. I really liked him and was often reluctant to sub him out in overtime. He lacks the offensive ability of more attacking minded midfielders but he has been solid when needed. 8/10

FB Renato (RCDM): I have been using different versions of Renato all season and he's great. Although I feel like the power curve has caught up to him a bit. He's not a lethal defensive presence. I often find him missing tackles or getting shrugged off by attackers. He also has little legs so his tackle range is quite limited. He is fast and decent on defense so he does the job. But Essien creates a lot more turnovers. I definitely found myself a little more nervous when the opponent was attacking through Renato's side of the pitch. On offense Renato is a beast. He has really good dribbling and speed so he's great at starting the attack or holding the ball outside the opponent's box. I don't often shoot with him or get into goal scoring opportunities with him but he is capable as a change of pace option to take the ball into the net if my attackers are well covered. His passing is good too but that's the case for everyone at this stage of the game. If a better card comes along I might look into replacing him. But so far he's so entrenched in my game I'm not in a rush to switch him out. He works really well next to Essien and as a deep lying playmaker. 7/10

TOTS Aouar (CAM): This guy is a monstar. I replaced WIF Thauvin with him for this WL since the SBC was so cheap. And I have no regrets. I loved Thauvin especially as a OM fan but TOTS Aouar is much better. The 4* WF makes a huge difference. Now I don't worry about having to cut onto a specific foot for the finish. Aouar bangs them in from everywhere. I have an engine on him so he feels extremely agile on the ball. There were times where I thought for sure he would get dispossessed but his agility and close control of the ball allowed him to wiggle through defenders. He can pass, he can finish, he makes great runs, he's fast, and he can create turnovers high up the pitch. I really loved playing with this card and he's the only difference between my 4-5 WL last week and my 25-5 finish this week. 9/10

IF Neymar (LST): This guy's also a beast. Again everyone knows that. He's glitchy, fast, and a great playmaker. 5* WF allows me to play him on the left for those dirty cross post shots. 5* SM allows me to wiggle around in the box and create space with all sorts of OP skill moves. His finishing is usually reliable although he did miss a couple sitters. He's not perfect. He has no aerial presence whatsoever and he is weak. He also has the worst stamina of my attacking trio which always makes me want to sub him. But it's Neymar you can't sub him out cuz he can create something out of nothing. 8.25/10

PRIME ETO'O (RST): I packed him untradeable in the icon player pick earlier this year and he has been a stud the whole time. Lethal speed, dribbling, and finishing. I play him on the right so 4* WF is all I need. He is a key part of my tactic as his wide runs on the counter create a lot of havoc for the defense. His driven crosses are great. He lacks 5* SM which hinders him a bit compared to Neymar but honestly not big a deal as he can execute most of the skill moves I do anyways. I have a Hawk on him so he's very strong and it makes him a decent threat in the air. Although he did lose a couple important hold up play headers to Davies which irked me. Whatever. He's a star and I'm going to miss him in FIFA 22 because I doubt I will be so lucky to get an Icon like this again. 8.75/10

TOTS Andre (SUB): Solid DM to bring on at the end of games to lock in the win. A defensive stud. Didn't see too much offensive potential in him tho in my limited playtime with him.

TOTS Henrique (SUB): Was solid as my LM sub. Fast, good defensively, with decent passing and dribbling. That's all I need.

WIF Thauvin (SUB): Didn't really do much off the bench. He was great for me as a CAM when I used him as a starter in the past. I think he really needs the 10 chem boost from the Hunter.

IF Clauss (SUB): Decent. Did his job which was to be a defensive minded winger in tight wins. I might upgrade to his TOTS but I got him in reds a while ago and I don't feel like I'm in a rush to.

WIF Diatta (SUB): I like this player. He's super fast off the bench which puts a lot of pressure on my opponent at the end of games. He's a great counter attacking threat too when my opponent is sending everyone forward to try and get a late equalizer. I'll just find the through ball to him down the wing and let him run all the way. He's a great dribbler with solid finishing too so he gets his goals on occasion.

I didn't play with the other bench warmers.

    Closing Thoughts

Overall, my best WL ever in terms of skill rating. 2nd Elite 2 finish this year. 4th Elite finish in FIFA 21. And so glad it happened during Ligue 1 TOTS as I have been running this kind of RTG Ligue 1 team since FUT became a thing--I'm a FUT Founder so I've been playing since I was a little kid. Very excited for rewards on Thursday. Some parting tips: stay hydrated, be aggressive on defense, play on Sundays, and FIFA is all mental so keep calm and concentrated in the face of BS. Anyways that's my WL Recap. Hope the 3-5-2 guide helps. Let me know if you have any questions!
