    December Mod Team Update: 300,000 Subscribers Edition

    Good evening/morning/whatever greeting is appropriate for your current timezone, it's your third favourite mod's third favourite mod back with another Mod Team Update.

    Seeing as we've now hit 300,000 members, we thought it would be a good time to put out a few content polls, similar to the ones we put out in March. These polls help the mod team to know which content you do or don't want to see in the sub, and are based on posts we frequently see when clearing the queue which either aren't always upvoted by the community, or have been previously removed and are still being posted and upvoted anyway.

    We'd like to know how you feel about the following types of post:

    For reference, the previous round of polls had the following results:

    Concept Cards - 75% allow

    WL Finishes - 67% remove

    Card snipes - 56% allow

    Selling Oopsies - 53% remove

    Card Predictions - 82% allow

    Our current Automatic Removal guidelines can be found here.

    While you're here, we're also looking for your thoughts on:

    • The Daily Squad Thread. The necessary evil that many of you love to hate (Please don't just say Get rid of it! because we trialled that for a few days earlier this year and it just didn't work.) How can we improve participation? Could an alternative work?

    • Themed Megathreads - Would you be interested in themed megathreads, and if so, what would you like to see? Examples could be Tactics Tuesday, where you discuss formations and custom tactics which, or a weekly Investments thread where Should I keep or sell? posts or Should I invest in IF John Lundstram? posts can go.

    We'll be keeping this post up for the next few days, and then re-pinning at quieter periods over the next week or so. We will then be post the results and update the rules, along with some other minor updates we're looking at, in due course.

    Unpopular Opinion: Chem Styles shouldn’t be a thing on FUT

    I don't know what the consensus is on this sub, but imo chem styles are childish power ups for a supposed football simulator and makes the gameplay ridiculous and ping pong style.

    I know people will say "but Hunter etc make otherwise unusable players actually useful".

    If elite strikers like Kane and Lewandowski aren't usable, then clearly it's a major fucking issue with the game and "speed boosts" isn't the answer. Fixing the gameplay is.

    What are people's thoughts on chem styles generally?

    I understand the pain of the people who trade, but for someone like me, who just plays the game - it's perfect. For the first time in years I'm able to afford players like Neymar, Mbappe or CR in December. This is a football game, not a stock exchange simulator.

    In gaming nothing is more annoying than what you input into the controller not being reflected in the game. It’s the most basic requirement yet here we are still being upset at SBSc when gameplay will not improve no matter which players you have

    Enough is enough, I won't be buying FIFA21 and the only reason I will play this game is because I have a digital version and I will only be playing the market when I do.

    This cycle is exhausting and I'm just sad I was sucked into it yet again this year, come summer we get all excited and it starts all over again but I just can't put my trust into this franchise anymore.

    I can't even remember the last time I had a decent run of games where I didn't encounter some delay or some gameplay bs.

    And to top off communication is now non existent, what a pathetic company.

    Are you telling me there is not one person there who actually takes pride in what they do and besides the money genuinely wants to see players enjoy the game? How do they clock in at work everyday knowing it will be yet another day when their customers are not having the best experience?

    After TOTY guess what?... all focus will go into the next game and all the 'new' features....'All new tactical control' and all the bs.

    I am a FUT founder and have been buying every game without even considering quitting but this is it for me, the game is unplayable, I might just ask for a refund via psn

    Not to mention all pack sbc cards have been terrible packs. At this point you have to wonder if the ea team has a bet on to see how bad they can make the futmas promo. Predicting 800k+ for sissoko

    Squad Battles is the best game mode for the midtier player and here's why

    1. You don't have to deal with your opponents shitty connection

    2. You have 7 days to do 44 games. That's better than 30 in 3.

    3. Unless you're in one of the top divisions or ranks, you're not getting any good rewards anyway.

    4. No shushing, dabbing etc. Play at your own pace.

    Yes, it's boring, but at least it doesn't infuriate you like the sweat in rivals and Champs does. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk

    He's in a good league, you can link him to RB Cuadrado if you did him, he had good stats in the right places. If he was a bit cheaper then he'd be the exact type of SBC we want.

    Ways to improve the Draft mode.

    1. Make it 5 games and not a knockout tournament, give prizes based on how many wins the player gets, it makes the 15k a lot less of a gamble and invites lesser skilled players to have a chance for big prizes, and a chance to use the draft they've put together. Draft should be an opportunity to try new players.

    2. Do a pick reward system similar to Rivals, at the end of your draft, you get a reward tier and you get to pick from coins, tradeable or untradeable cards. Maybe a draft player pick for winning all 5. Just make Draft rewards less random, you shouldn't be getting two rare gold packs for winning a draft.

    3. Maybe adjust the price to 10k, but 15k could be reasonable with the proposed changes

    Anyone got anything they'd want?
