    I've been playing FUT consistently since FIFA 12 and over the years I've learned the trend of the market over the game cycle. That being said, I've almost always made the majority of my coin early in the game cycle, simply because this is when all player sell for tons, at least Gold players do.

    Sell your low rated glod early on, keep your 84-85 fodder players, because they only go up after the first decent SBC is released. Also, take tradeable rewards and sell you players in the first few months, the market goes up and up until the first "TOTY" preview videos come out.

    Lowest the market is all year is right before TOTY is release. Every year because of speculation the market crashes hard. Especially a couple days before the first players are release. I personally watched baby R9 rise 500k 2 hours after TOTY was in packs this year.

    You'll never make a bad investment in the "god-tier" icons, Gullits, Dinhos, Maldini. They never lose their value because the demand is so high, even after they fall past the power curve.

    SBCs do make silvers and bronzes skyrocket, so early on, especially the way EA has release content of the years, its best to store them in your club.

    Also don't get suckered into SBC's early on, they're never worth it, and with the way rewards and objective have been released, next week a better and cheaper/free player with be available. *Unless its an end of era, or a very unlikely flashback or off league player*

    lastly, it helps to stick to a theme throughout the year. for me its, Milan players/icons and colombian players, of course i also try different types of players and leagues, but sticking to a theme or type of player keeps you from wasting coins on players you'll never use.

    Am I in the minority in that I don't care about these gold cards at all? Some years I do, but after playing with stacked TOTS and SH cards for so long this time, nothing about these gold cards interests or excites me ... Right now I think my plan is to save all coins, sell everything, and play with free cards until TOTY and I can get some cards that I actually will use and hang onto again.

    I am excited to see new icon ratings though, that I'll agree.

    I'll try to keep it curt cause I'm not great at expressing this stuff, but I gotta say that this community has really become a better environment for new and returning players since when I joined.

    FIFA 19 was a horrendous time to be here if I'm being honest. It was constantly negative, even more critical of people who played with meta cards and formations, and overall not very helpful for people who just want to get better.

    Whether it's from the growth or some other reason, I think that the amount of OC, guides, discussions, and general fun clips and teams has made this place pretty enjoyable to talk FUT and FIFA.

    I'm a super avid FUT player and a long time lurker on this sub and just wanted to say a huge thanks for being a super fun and helpful community :)

    Despite how shitty the gameplay is, it's been a pleasure to read fun formation guides (definitely going to rock 3 ATB from the start for FIFA 21), see heaps of different opinions and even just get a sounding board for player reviews
