    My wife usually reads beside me on the couch while I play. She rarely pays attention, so I was surprised when she noticed me jumping in and out of games at a quicker clip than usual and asked what was going on.

    I explained icon swaps and golden goal and she goes "So you don't have to ask each other? Everyone just does it? Thats really sweet."

    And it is. And y'all are.

    PSA For Swaps: Play a SB after 15 games of Rage Quit

    After 15 rage quits, either from you or your opponent, you will no longer be eligible for games or rewards if someone disconnects. This is probably why many people on the reddit are no longer earning objectives for swaps. To avoid this you have to complete a full game, in which case the 15 games resets and you're free to golden goal for another 15.
    EDIT: SORRY I FUCKED UP

    To avoid this completely you have to stop at 14 disconnects and play a complete game to refresh the 15 game limit and you're free to golden goal for another 14. Iirc there may be a penalty for hitting 15 in which I think you have to restart your console or wait a certain time.

    How can you not like the Golden Goal rule?

    I've seen Content creators and verified FUT accounts today criticise the rule, how in God's name are you against a rule that saves everyone time, energy, work and stress? It literally benefits everybody, I don't condone abuse though, if someone doesn't abide by it don't abuse them via messages.

    Content creators think they own the community, they represent 1%, some of us don't have time to look at a screen for 6-7hrs grinding objectives, kudos to the community for this Golden Goal rule, it's least toxic thing I've experienced/seen in a while.

    Golden Goal shouldn't be applicable in MM, WL or Rivals but in this One League format? Why not.

    Recently we've had the freeze promo and the Icon Swaps objectives. Our community clearly showed that we will always complain no matter what EA does.

    Objectives are now in friendlies, a completely separated game mode. (As we wanted last year!) Screw that, lets make a golden rule for everyone, so we get these tokens asap. And if somebody don't follow these rules, he is seen as toxic? Because he wants to play the game? People here are like: THERE IS NOTHING TO DO, yet they want to complete everything in the span of 30 min.

    Freeze promo? There are actually many great cards that allow cool squad building. But hey, most of them don't have big meta names so they are not enough. Take a look at Ansaldi - insane stats, 4/5, links with the new Freeze Martinez, basically mid Zambrotta with worse link for 80k. On FUTbin he has 1,4 likes and 2,4 dislikes(!!) Because he is not french, not from EPL and does not have 96 pace.

    Look at Gaya - everyone thought EA would release Adama Traore today. But then people would complain that EA releases only the same pool of meta players. Yet they give us fun concept card with decent stats and I see comments like "dead card".

    These sbc are actually great and mostly better than those in fifa 19 and 20 (remember Lukebakio?), but people always look at the past through rose glasses. You can even get their loanes and use this cards in friendlies!

    Sometimes I feel like EA will never win. We will always find a way to complain. Seeing this Golden rule thing going around, I won't be suprised if for the next set of tokens EA would introduce some kind of game cap. We would be outraged, but we would deserve it.

    EA have done a great job and now it's the community's job to make 'fun' teams

    EA have consciously put out players from different leagues, juiced some players, changed positions and even given us amazing free cards to add to our lineups. Alessandrini, Depay, Bolasie and so many others, Just look at what we've had from the last few days:

    • Felix: Brilliant card. Amazing value.
    • Depay: Great in-game stats plus link to Atal, Fabregas and PSG players.
    • Bolasie: PL card with those stats for free is amazing.
    • Herrera: Good card. Great value and green link to Felix + La Liga squads
    • The Freeze Promo has some brilliant cards like Bernando, Nani, Verratti,
    • Marquinhos Freeze Card: Solid card. Great Price.
    • The Icons Objectives: If you don't like the players, pick any of the other 4-5 options
    • FREE David Beckham card: How awesome is that? A FREE 86 rated card!

    And I'm ignoring the more expensive options like Bruno and Son POTM.

    Basically, there's no excuse anymore to keep playing the same old players. I'm not judging people for using the meta players, we've all been there, done that. But all I'm saying is if you've a problem with it then you can be a part of the solution and start building fun teams.

    We've seen how strong the FUT community can be with the golden goal rule, so I don't see why we can't have fun and try out new cards because although not completely meta, there's some juicy options out there. Getting those cards has been made easy for us by EA, so now it's upto us how we want to play the game.

    If EA introduces a soft ban on Friendlies quitting, it should be clearly visible.

    A lot of people are reporting being kicked from games in Friendlies and from FUT in general after quitting a few games doing Golden Goal (or just rq). A conspiracy seems to be going around that this is a "soft ban" on those players to discourage this kind of approach.If that is indeed the case and EA wants to take this kind of action against golden goal and if they have a 'soft ban' system in place, they should make it visible to players.CSGO has a mechanic where quitting games gives you a temporary competitive matchmaking ban, but you are warned when quitting and there is a very noticeable timer to when it finishes. This should be how it is done, and EA should be communicating this possibility to players.

    They have warning messages in competitive online matches, why not change it to give the warning in friendlies that "if you quit a game X times in a row, this would result in a temporary matchmaking ban for XX mins"?

    Imagine playing with David Beckham in that classic Manchester United 2000s vodafone jersey or that 90s 'Sharp' jersey. How cool would that be? Chelsea with Lampard in that Samsung jersey. Kaka in that classic AC Milan kit or Ronaldinho in that Barca plain jersey.

    That would actually add value to the "kit" packs and also keep the transfer market moving along decently.
