    Salt free post from a very average player.

    I play a bit of WL, on average every couple weekends. At the beginning of the game I could comfortably get G3 with a gold card only Serie A squad. 3 months later I can comfortably get G3 with a 4m team with a couple icons, Mbappe and some other nice cards. My team is drastically better than it was but my results are the same, what gives?

    The way I see it is pretty simple...

    My team isn't better than the competition. Everyone is improving their team as time goes on. Better cards just mean you're keeping up with the Joneses, maybe if I'd got my hands on Cruyff and a few others I could eke out a few more wins and kick on to G2, but I haven't.

    More importantly though... I've not got better. Or not gotten 'more better' than the competition. Yes I've added a few skill moves and that to the repertoire but it's obviously not enough to outclass a wider range of players.

    This is the crux of it. If you're not doing enough to change your game and take it to the next level, why on earth would your results get better?

    I played a guy yesterday who just outclassed me. Quicker to the ball, better decisions, it was an easy win for him. Messaged after, nice guy gave me a couple tips, he said he was normally G1. There was an obvious gulf in quality, yes I could score against him but the result was never in doubt.

    So this long winded post is trying to say... team doesn't matter, adding a couple skill moves doesn't matter. If you want to kick on you have to elevate your game in a way that takes practice and application. I can't be arsed with that, so I'm not going to complain and I'll just take my G3 finish as always.

    Enjoy your WL all, it's just a game, don't stress if you can't get the results you want.

    The 5 types of WL opponents

    1. The skiller - will skill every time a player receives the ball. At least one ball roll / player is mandatory. Difficulty rating 6,5/10. High danger of falling asleep when he does another step over in his own half.

    If opponent has Mbappe and Neymar difficulty goes up to 8,5/10 because they'll just glitch through you.

    1. The possession hoarder ("I'm playing tiki taka, mate") -4231, won't skill, if he skills then only going backwards. Will play 700 passes around your box and then get mad at the auto blocks and accusing you of playing drop back. Most passes are safe backwards.

    Difficulty rating 9/10. Personally can't deal with them. It's so annoying hopelessly chasing the ball. And after a while when I really can't be bothered anymore or the game decides it, there will open up a gap. Once you're down it just gets more frustrating

    1. Through ball, through ball, through ball.

    Opponent wins the ball and immediately launches a through ball. No gap open? Doesn't matter - through ball and sometimes they find their target. Will skill a bit on the wing and then cut back for the easy goal.

    Difficulty 6/10. Most of the time, his through balls won't come off but there's the odd game where you can't defend him and have no idea why.

    1. "Please let him be a trader"

    Only happens 1-2 times per weekend but it happens. The loading screen pops up - and there they are. No, I'm not speaking of Neymar and Mbappe - this guy's team is a different gravy. Eusebio, CR7, Gullit, one top defensive Icon etc etc. We're talking 5 million + here.

    There's now 2 ways how this game can go: either you're facing a trader and it will be a fun match up or this guy is an elite player and you will get stomped.

    Difficulty trader 5/10. Difficulty elite 10/10

    1. The red sea - Dude is starting at least 3 reds. They're all high rated and meta. Mendy and Varane are still in defense. Dude's playing a lot of FIFA and you can feel it.

    Difficulty 9/10.

    And no matter who you face, if there's a Cruyff involved, you have already lost.

    Long time player, I understand that the game changes year to year. And honestly, gameplay wise, this year actually feels somewhat rewarding... that is until you play someone in weekend league, or someone in draft who rainbows, and does that dribble up the entire pitch.

    Is what is, thanks for letting me rant, but easily my least favorite part about this game.

    Anyone else experience every weekend league going from feeling smooth and fluid one match to feeling like your players are stuck in the mud and can play football to save their lives the next match? It's really frustrating as I'm trying to improve as a fifa player and using WL to track my progress but I can't break the G3 barrier for this reason.

    This guy lives absolutely rent free in my head. If this guy is in the other team, I shall not pass. It doesn't matter if it's rivals or WL, this man is my absolute kryptonite. I would rather play against R9 than Koundé. I wish I could delete him from the game

    I really hope ea doesn't do the typical thing they do with TOTY and release the team in a slow drip of players. Just a really obnoxious way to milk money and lower odds people actually get one.

    That saving packs doesn't matter how many does not mean you are guaranteed a TOTY, past few weeks more and more post have come about how many packs people have saved but when I watch Baetson down 100k fifa points on 100k and 125k packs and proceed to pack nothing, the chances of packing a TOTY in the 25k/35k/50k packs are so small
