    I know this post probably won't be too well received by most of the community, but as an American UT player I would love nothing more. I know he's not the best keeper of his time by far, but his international career and impact on the United States is icon worthy in my opinion.

    If I had to give him a rating, I would go with 85, 87, and 88 as each of his ratings. His prime icon moments card if given one would be a 90 for his record breaking performance against Belgium.

    Don't get me wrong, I remember the Donovan & Lalas fiasco back in FIFA 17. However, if EA were to give an American icon a chance again, Tim Howard is the one to go with.

    Yes Gameplay is bad, but the community are the worst part of Fifa.

    Yer we get it, we hear it all the time... gameplay is bad!

    For me though, a large problem in the Fifa community is the community itself. Constant negative play, and toxicity is going to be the killer for this game.

    I honestly don't understand how people can sit there and play a 20minute game by being so negative. Slowing the game down to a walking pace, being passive in attack and just down reliance on the game.

    Until this week I had enjoyed Fifa, but recently I just seem to find the lowest sort of player that just strangle the last bit of fun left in the game.

    I knew the community was bad but it just seems to get worse.

    I know a bunch of you lot are mental and win 87-0 on Ultimate but I just want a bit of help. The heading says it all and I could do with a bit of help? Maybe sliders would help make a more enjoyable experience?

    EDIT: Sorry I didn't specify, I'm talking about career mode lol. It's likely a daft question considering I'm using Wycombe but I shouldn't be losing basically every game surely

    Did the servers just go down on Xbox?

    Was winning 5-1 in rivals and got randomly DC's as my opponent was trying to take a corner in the 75th min. Looked very suspicious, looked like he just rage quit. So are servers down? Can't seem to be able to log back on.

    Dear EA and Fifa 21 team,

    As a stereotype-fitting Brazilian, I adore soccer. Playing with friends a couple of times a week was a part of my routine. Many friendships were created, nurtured - and sometimes terminated - on the pitch. I have since moved abroad, and the current pandemic scenario difficultates one's chance of engaging in our beloved activity. Digitizing the pastime is, in many cases, the only way to keep the love for the sport alive. For it's name and history, FIFA - in it's current FIFA21 edition - is probably the most sought after product for such an endeavour. Unfortunately, expectations can only become frustrations when playing this iteration of the game.

    The players' performances are as random as an electron's position. A midfielder - not to be named in this article to protect his honor - can go from Player of the Year contender to an useless pustule from one match to the other. I'm not saying this midfielder should be capable of executing all moves and win all ball disputes - no no. All I'm arguing is that his lack of skill should be represented in its full rawness. If his passing is subpar, no FIFA players should endure the sick mind game of believing he's now capable of shooting long balls with aplomb - just to find out he isn't on the next match.

    One could argue that no match is like the other, and that moving through different levels should have an effect on performance. While these factors play a role in defining the observed outcomes, statistical theorems demonstrate that these outcomes should converge to an average value. Oddly enough, such a convergence only happens in dreams of a better world. Performance varies too much for an assumption of fair-distributed outcomes. I have no option but to believe something is a tad askew.

    If I'm an amateur player, I demand to be treated as such, no matter what your cold-hearted algorithms say it's best to keep me active in the game. I can study this game like a Jesuit if that's what it takes to become better. What I cannot do is be complacent to a system that is, if that much, bi-polar in its design. We're not numbers that could can throw here, there - and here again - just to achieve a user retention goal.

    You may even be in cahoots with the game controller industry, hoping players will be enraged by the constant misleading results and defenestrate the accessory after yet another loss - and that is your right as a business. We're living in hard times and a bottom line needs to be reached. However, all streaks of malfeasances come to an end, and it's my duty to actively fight this preposterous scheme of yours with all my weapons. If you believe this is about a winning record, make no mistake: this is about the joy in playing soccer - the very joy that's being denied to millions of people around the world with no access to real, fun soccer with their friends.

    Probably not worthy of a post of its own, but I've asked this before in the daily discussion threads and got no answer.

    I assume this is happening for everyone else, but I've never seen it mentioned. Is there anyway of fixing this? Not a massive issue but it's annoying.

    Unpopular opinion: The patch has actually made this game feel like a proper football game again

    Pre-patch was an absolute mess in D1 and when playing beyond 14 wins in WL.

    EVERY single game was just a matter of who could spam the most overpowered skill move until they glitched through the defence.

    Now it's much more focused around who has the better build up play and unpredictability around the box and I'm actually enjoying it a lot more.

    Seeing a lot of complaints about 532, drop back and 1 depth, but when you actually stop trying to abuse the now nerfed speed boosts like bridge and stepovers you'll actually find that it's not hard to break down a defence with fast passing, crosses and occasional skill moves.
