It’s really dumb how you don’t get a win for your opponent quitting if it’s 0-0 Posted: I'm in on goal after unzipping this guys defense and he takes me out in the box as I'm about to shoot from behind and before he gets the red, before I can take the penalty he rage quits. I get it, shit start to a game, got rekt, whatever. But for me to not get a 3-0 win due to forfeit is dumb. It's a waste of my time and no reward for forcing someone to quit. I'm playing DR and I feel like it should count as a win and give points, instead it just doesn't count as a game played. I hope this isn't an unpopular opinion because it's fucking dumb. It's not how football works, the person quitting gets a loss, so why am I not getting the win? [link] [comments] |

The answer to every SBC is not “just get Neymar” Posted: Dear god if I had a nickel for every time I've heard this. First of all, People have different teams, different links. And a lot of people are sick of playing and seeing gold Neymar for months now. Also, just because gold Neymar is 200k or so, does not mean EA can not release a forwards SBC that costs more than him. For example, this Reus card. Has better shooting, comparable dribbling, and much better physicals. Yet all you hear is "OvErPrIcEd because Neymar is 200k". That SBC is probably the most fairly priced SBC in recent memory. The absolute worst is asking for a review of a player, only for multiple comments to say "just get Neymar, he's cheaper and tradeable". Bruh. not exactly what I asked for. [link] [comments] |

Review on all the PIM cards I've used so far [Long Post] Posted: Context: I only play this game for the Icons, players I grew up watching. So I've been playing exclusively with Icons for quite some time now, meaning I've bought, played with and sold many PIM cards since they were released. Since I have some time on my hands, thought I'd leave some reviews here to help those who are wondering if a certain SBC is worth doing or if an Icon is worth buying. I'm not a pro player anything. I'm at 1800+ SR, and I'm usually a G2/G1 WL player, depending if I can be bothered finishing my games. Also, I stopped buying FP this year, so everything was acquired by trading with IF cards, good pack luck and the pure discipline on stocking up on fodders and not wasting on promo SBCs. Basically, the day new Icon SBC drops is a promo day for me, I don't care much about the other promos haha. I'm keeping this review solely on PIM cards because I've used far too many Icons and it'd take me hours to review each of them. But if you'd like a review on any Baby/Mid/Prime cards, just ask, if I've used it before, I can drop a review. Now, let's start. PIM Peter Schmeichel: Quite possibly the worst keeper I've used this year. He feels really heavy and slow, and he doesn't save any across goal shots and long-range finesse shots at all. He's only good at close-range reflex saves and distribution, that's about it. Rating: 3/10 Bought for: Acquired via SBC Worthwhile? Not at all. Status: On my bench, waiting to be thrown into another Icon SBC. PIM Petr Cech: Schmeichel was so bad, I had to replace him after just 2 WLs. Decided to give Cech a go since he's a new Icon and I've already used VDS last year. Now, I can safely say he's the best keeper I've used this year (RTTF Oblak a close second). He's actually quite fast, and his giant frame means he'll hardly get beaten by finesse shots. His close range reflex saves are also excellent. Only downside is this version doesn't have the headgear in game. Rating: 9/10 Bought for: 1 million Worthwhile? Only if you have 1 million and nothing else to spend on. Status: In my starting XI PIM Gianluca Zambrotta: Easily the most versatile player in the game. He's amazing as a stay-back full back, a get forward wing back, a box to box CM, a stay back CDM, a wide midfielder or even as a centreback. His versatility goes beyond the fact that he excels in so many positions, but also because he has the 5-star weak foot, which allows you to get creative in squad-building. He fast, strong and is excellent in tackling and interceptions. May feel a little clunky so I'd advise sticking an Engine on him if you're using him in a more attacking role. Stamina could be better too. Rating: 8.5/10 Bought for: Acquired via SBC Worthwhile? Yes, an end game card. Status: In my starting XI PIM Philipp Lahm: I know most people would use him as a CDM, but I actually tried him out as a LB/RB. He's amazing in intercepting passes, but overall, he felt too weak for me, and he offers little going forward. Passing is amazing though, and his recovery speed top tier. Personally, I feel he's too weak to play as a stay-back full back, but is not good enough in certain areas to anything going forward. Would probably work best as a CM/CDM. Rating: 7/10 Bought for: About a million, I think Worthwhile? If you're playing him centrally, yes. As a fullback, no. Status: Sold PIM Javier Zanetti: Like Lahm, his PIM card is a LB but he's right footed. So when I had him, I actually switched him with Zambrotta. He's probably one of the most underrated full backs in this game. He offers close to nothing going forward, but if you're looking for a stay-back full back or a CDM, he's really one of the best. Clean tackles, great interceptions and surprisingly, quite strong in physicality. He's also quite agile so recovery is good. Had to let him go because I'm using a formation that requires my full backs to attack. Rating: 8.5/10 Bought for: About 800k Worthwhile? Yes, if only you play your full backs on stay back. Status: Sold PIM Roberto Carlos: He's the definition of a wing back, someone who makes marauding runs up the pitch and gets back quickly to defend. Needless to say, his left foot is made of dreams, but I'm actually surprised how strong he feels despite his small frame. Don't expect to win any headers with him, but as an attacking full back, he's the best I've used. Bangs in free kicks for fun too. 2-star weak foot is a problem sometimes, but if you're solely playing him on the left side of the pitch, it's fine. Rating: 9/10 Bought for: 1.9 million Worthwhile? Yes Status: In my starting XI PIM Ashley Cole: Probably one of the most underrated full back Icon this year. His PIM is a different breed compared to his other cards. Has the skill moves and weak foot upgrade, and he feels extremely smooth on the ball. But to be honest, Prime Roberto Carlos is better than this card as a LB/LWB/LM. BUT, PIM Cole is bloody excellent as a LCB in a back 3 or back 5. He has the physicality, the defending stats, the pace and the agility to excel there. Rating: 8.5/10 Bought for: 900k Worthwhile? Yes, only if you're gonna use him as a LCB in a back 3 or back 5 Status: Sold PIM Rio Ferdinand: I've always placed a lot of emphasis on my CBs so I decided to go for the second most expensive PIM CB in the game. To be honest, he's really good, but there's just something about him that made me feel he's not worth the coins I spent on him. His pace is almost unmatched and he can keep up with any attackers in the game, but the issue I had with him was he struggled to keep hold of the ball even after winning a tackle; it always goes back to the attacker. I'm not sure if that's due to his unique body type or something else. His long legs are great though, he's basically a better RTTF Varane. He's about the same level as Mid Maldini for me - and I feel one of the reasons why his price is so high is due to the English/Man Utd tax. Rating: 7.5/10 Bought for: 2.7 million Worthwhile? No Status: Sold PIM Fabio Cannavaro: My favourite CB in real life and in my opinion, the best CB in this game. I used his Prime for over 300 games, and this card is just next level. He's truly unique in the sense that he's so fast and agile for a CB, it actually feels like you're controlling Flashback Ribery when you're using him. The game-changing thing about this PIM card is that you can and should use the Catalyst chem style on him because his base defending stats are almost maxed out, so you're boosting his passing, which is the weakest area of his game. This guy's recovery speed is second to none, and his tackles are way cleaner than his Prime card. Rating: 10/10 Bought for: 1.6 million Worthwhile? Yes. But if you have the Prime untradeable, then no. Status: In my starting XI PIM Marcel Desailly: To me, he's the second best CB in this game and he's a completely different player to PIM Cannavaro, which is why it made sense for me to pair the both of them together because they complement each other so well. While Cannavaro is an elegant ball-playing CB, Desailly is a flat-track bully who simply destroys any attackers in whatever the situation. His AI blocks are insane and his physicality is top tier. Only issue with this card is his passing is a little dodgy at times, and it's a challenge to play out of the back with him because in bad gameplay, he can feel like a truck a little. But, use him for his strengths and you'll never be more assured in defending. Rating: 9.5/10 Bought for: 2.1 million Worthwhile: Yes Status: In my starting XI PIM Carles Puyol: For the price his SBC cost, he's seriously so underrated by a community who only values the pace stat. His pace is not that bad, because it's compensated by his height, or the lack of it. Sure, he's no Cannavaro but it's fine because his positioning sense is top class. He actually feels like a slower TOTY Ramos, he doesn't just stick a foot in, he literally barges into attackers to win the ball back. Of course, when you have him in your team, you gotta play 5 depth or lower, and I think he's best as a CCB in a back 3 or back 5. I really liked him. Rating: 8/10 Bought for: Acquired via SBC Worthwhile: Yes Status: On my bench PIM Michael Ballack: Read a lot of negative reviews about him but acquired him anyway, and I've absolutely no regrets at all. The thing about Ballack is you need to play to his strengths. Don't play as a CDM, use him as a CM. He has a huge frame so he's a big bully at the centre of the park. His passing range is amazing, and his shots from outside of the box are deadly as hell. Seriously, I've read so many people playing him as a CDM and to me, you won't get the best of him there. His defensive awareness is not great, and you're wasting all his shooting stats. This guy is also a monster at corners, the second best I've used after Hierro. He can feel clunky so you can either use an Engine on him, or a Shadow if you prefer to have the speed. Rating: 8.5/10 Bought for: Acquired via SBC Worthwhile? Yes Status: In my starting XI PIM David Beckham: Well, the obvious thing about this card is you should never play him as a winger, or even a wide midfielder for that matter. He's strictly a box-to-box CM, and a great one at that. He feels a lot more agile than his Base/Prime cards, and this card has the most aggressive attacking runs I've ever used on any midfielder. He just goes up and down non stop for 90 mins, and obviously, his freekicks and long range finesse shots are insane. Of course, you're also paying a premium for the name and the fact that he's a new Icon, but his 3/3 combo is quite disappointing, although deserved. Overall, good player but he's a luxury buy. Rating: 8/10 Bought for: 1.1 million Worthwhile? Jury's out as I have not played with him enough. Status: In my starting XI PIM Claude Makelele: I don't understand the folks who say that this card is only as good as or slightly better than Kante. I've used Kante for over 400 games early in the game, and this Makelele card is levels better. Yes, his tackles, interceptions and pace are similar to Kante's, but Makelele feels way stronger and most importantly, this guy can keep possession of a ball and make a pass, something that Kante can't do to save his life. He's an absolute destroyer and he'll be my CDM until the end of the game. Rating: 9/10 Bought for: Acquired via SBC Worthwhile? Yes Status: In my starting XI PIM Pavel Nedved: Like Zambrotta, he's a really versatile player who can operate anywhere in the final third. I'm gonna rate him based on how I use him - as a striker. First off, his finesse shots outside the box are broken. He's also quite strong on the ball and doesn't get pushed off easily, and his dribbling feels really smooth. His passing is fantastic, which is to be expected. The drawbacks of this card for me are his inconsistent finishing and the lack of explosive speed. So, if you want to get him, use him either as a CAM or a False 9 striker in a two-striker formation. Rating: 8.5/10 Bought for: Acquired via SBC Worthwhile? Yes Status: In my starting XI PIM Dennis Bergkamp: Before I completed Nedved, I was using Bergkamp as my second striker. Very honestly, he feels like a very generic 4/4 card. The great thing about him is that his shot power is out of this world. Honestly, I've smashed so many top bin goals from out of the box with him it's crazy. Other than that, he's just alright. Too big a frame for his own good, clunky (even with Engine) and not that fast. Rating: 6.5/10 Bought for: 1 million Worthwhile? No Status: Sold PIM Alessandro Del Piero: Man, this guy is so undervalued in this game just because of his balance stat. I've tried him out for 2 WLs as a second striker and he was absolutely amazing for me. One of the best finesse shots in the game, free kick specialist, deadly finishing and insane passing. Sure, he has downsides to his game, like the lack of explosive pace and his weak physicality, but for the price you pay, I've to say he's really unbeatable in value. I only sold him to do Nedved's SBC because I prefer my forwards to have a little more strength. Rating: 8.5/10 Bought for: 1.4 million Worthwhile? Yes Status: Sold PIM Fernando Torres: This guy right here is one of the best strikers I've used in this game. I've used his Base, Mid and Prime cards and let me tell you this, his PIM feels like an absolutely different card. The runs he makes is outstanding, and his finishing is out of this world. This card doesn't feel clunky at all and he has amazing strength to hold off defenders. Passing can be dodgy at times but forgivable given that he should play as a striker who's the furthest forward in your team. I only sold him because I packed Mid R9 from the Icon Player Picks and I only need one main striker as the focal point in my team. Rating: 9/10 Bought for: 3.8 million (this was quite long ago) Worthwhile: Yes for his price now. Status: Sold And that's all I have for today. If you're interested to see how my team plays in game, here you go: https://ibb.co/sVQJrbD. The only tradeable cards are Desailly, Cannavaro, Roberto Carlos, Beckham and Cech. I also have Base Matthaus and Mid Seedorf, both pulled from the Base or Mid Icon SBCs on my bench, great players but a little behind the power curve now, sadly. PIM cards I'm looking to try next: Pirlo, Crespo, Rijkaard, Gerrard and Stoichkov. So if you have any reviews on these guys, do share! Happy to answer questions! [link] [comments] |
If you like a player, do the SBC. Don’t play Frugality Simulator 21 Posted: I see so many of us on here worried about doing SBCs purely out of FOMO regarding whatever comes next. I'm guilty of this myself for sure but it's a mindset I've lost recently and it's made the game so much more fun. Best example is this new Reus. When he first dropped today, I saw so many replies saying "good card, but overpriced" or "not end game". I understand this concern, it's hard to part with that fodder you've saved up not knowing if there's going to be another SBC down the road. But I promise, doing players you simply like makes this game so much more fun. Reus was one of my absolute favorites when I first started playing Fifa, so for me this SBC has so much nostalgia I didn't mind throwing some higher rated random cards at it. Who cares??? It's a one year game cycle then we start all over. Play the game for fun. Don't play it like an accountant. You'll be better off for it I promise. [link] [comments] |

So I've just finished the 18 games of Squad Battles for Swaps on Legendary... Posted: ... and I didn't get a single free kick. Come to think of it, I've played probably 150 games on Legendary since the start of this FIFA and I cannot remember the last time I got a free kick. There's no shirt pulling, no mis-timed tackles, I get bumped off the ball that online is a foul but .. nothing I genuinely started to believe for a while that fouls are turned off for the AI on Legendary difficulty. Either that, or they are programmed to literally only make a tackle if there's a 100% chance of getting the ball. Surely I can't be the only one? Not .. one .. single .. free kick. In-depth fut birthday Vidal review Posted: Hey guys how's everyone doing... Today I will be doing an in-depth review of the one and only el maestro - Arturito. It's a long one so by all means get yourself a snack or something 😂 Last year I used his flashback for more than 1100 games and later on upgraded to his summer heat version so I have basically been playing with him for more than 4 months... When it comes to Vidal I like to think I am an expert... Of course, I jumped at first sight of the sbc and he slotted right in reminding me of his masterclass... And boy was I hooked 36 games with him in a space of 48 hours 🤯... Although I expected a lot I wasn't disappointed and he just kept on giving... I ended up getting into Division 2 on pc for the first time in my life... If you are not aware pc has a really small player base so getting to div 1 or 2 is really really hard 😂 I played Vidal alongside toty kdb and gave him license to kill... Everything on balanced on the 4231 my midfield has kdb in cam, PIM Makelele in stay back CDM and Vidal alongside him... Vidal makes amazing lateral and horizontal runs... Sees open space goes into open space... Offensively he is no prime eto'o but he's damn close.... Passing is top top tier everything hits the mark even when you're playing games with extra bs sprinkled in... Toty kdb misses mbappe goes astray eto'o forgets to tie his boots but Vidal is always there like a captain should be... Defending comes natural to him like Jeremy Clarkson and brown cars... I used mid Vieira, Gullit on a friend's account, prime Zidane, wif Kante and Vidal is just a touch above all... I kid you not he takes the ball away on his own... Automatic interceptions automatic precise tackles... etc My main gripe with Vidal has always been his lacklustre dribbling stats always leaving a sour taste in my mouth... I am the kind of player to complain about toty kdb being slow when the servers are having a dump 😂 But yeah because of his unique body type as opposed to the usual average body type he dribbles really really well... Vidal and reverse elasticos is the stuff of dreams Shooting is insane! dude hits balls with incredible shot power it's just a bit below kdb and eto'o but yeah amazing for a box to box Passing is AMAZING best in the game no further comments Physicals: he is vidal. Pace: Your typical 90+ pace player they all feel the same but the unique body type allows vidal to feel extra quick 😂😂😂 Please don't sleep on Vidal... Play him on 7 chem, sub him on, or even on 0 chem; he will perform and perform well... If Vidal was on the market he would cost 2m easy he is truly Gullit gang he has no major issues. My personal best midfielders in the game:
TLDR: Vidal = Best midfielder in the game after Gullit Please feel free to ask me any questions about Vidal :) (I have a PhD in Vidal 😂😂😂) [link] [comments] |
