| Posted: 07 Mar 2021 02:52 AM PST Now that the whole 'scripting' theory has been well and truly dismissed by EA and has been proven to not be in the game, we need to come together to fix probably the biggest issue in this game. Microtransactions and pack odds. They have completely taken Fifa Ultimate Team over, as every thing we do is pointing to rewards, whether it be players or packs. Microtransactions are evil, and in my opinion have really devalued the game and I stay away from them, but packs and odds are something that nobody actually knows how EA calculate. We have no idea how pack odds actually truly work. EA are very smart, in putting "Less then 1% chance....." but we have no idea how this actually works. What are the specific dropweights per player, or do they even work on that? Is there some algorithm they have which is based on transfer market price, or player attributes, or something else? I have packed Ferland Mendy, an 83, once over 2 years of Fifa. But have packed CR7 once in Fifa 20 and once in Fifa 19. I have packed more icons then Ferland Mendy. A FUCKING 83 RATED CARD. Nepenthez has packed more TOTYs then an 83 rated card. That is nuts. Remember Orsic, the red pick from last year? He was an 84 rated with FUCKING INSANE stats. But over watching hundreds of red picks on stream and youtube, he came out 1 time. What about specific players? Surely EA must attach a % to each player and then randomly drop these into every pack opened in the game that day? I have no idea but there is obviously some sort of way they do it. How do pack odds work? How do red picks work? Why is there no more transparency in this? Why are the community not focused more on finding out how the core function (rewards) of this game actually works and how much % each player is likely to be packed? I think that there genuinely needs to be more transparency by EA, or they need to be exposed in some way because the community deserves it. [link] [comments] |
| Is the What If promo the best one yet ? Posted: 07 Mar 2021 03:51 PM PST From all the Live Cards, What If's are the best ones. Linking FUT and Real Life football really is a cool thing. You might wanna look at what Udinese did at the weekend or start supporting them for a week or two cause you'd like that upgrade on your Pereyra, or things like that, stuff you wouldn't have normally cared about. I find it better than Headliners or OTW and IMO they should look deeper into concepts like these to keep the game alive and to renew Ultimate Team. This year marks my 10th FUT anniversary and it's the first promo where I'm like « this is a brilliant job ». What do you guys think ? Edit: look at how hyped people where when Feyenoord won 6-0 yesterday, no one would've cared about it but at the end of the day Leroy made us all a Feyenoord fan for one game. So cool. This leaves me open as one pass and I generally have a CAM and 2xSTs running at my CBs. I normally try and select my CDMs but I find player switching so frustrating and unresponsive. How are people getting their CDMs so deep and tracking runners so well [link] [comments] |
