| Just started playing FUT for the first time. So this is where all the effort and money goes.. Posted: 11 Apr 2021 11:13 AM PDT I've played fifa on and off for over 2 decades now (christ I'm old) but I only ever played career or pro clubs. Today I thought I'd load up Ultimate Team and see what all the hype was about. It's a different game! Sleek menus, an actual voice guiding me through the tutorial, and the build up before games.. the players have animations for when the commentators go through your line up. Why does career mode have none of this?! Then the gameplay itself, it just feels quicker and sharper than career mode and 100x sharper than pro clubs. It's in no way realistic at all of course but after 20 years (although it become much more apparent in the last 5 or so) I've learned you don't play football in this game you play fifaball. But that's fine when it plays like this. After years of basically the same game which for some reason I always buy (although I have started picking them up when they go on sale instead now) I've just found where all the time and effort goes each year. It's like night and day compared with the rest of the game! Edit: it appears I've made a terrible mistake [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 11 Apr 2021 08:06 PM PDT I purposefully don't play deep as it's frowned upon, play a more attacking formation than defensive, but will adapt as necessary if my opponent is sending 70% of his team up front. I just don't get the mentality in this community "Ugh he's playing 5 at back ruining the game!" (For the record I play 3 with two wide defensive mids if it comes to that) You're just upset you haven't found a way to beat my adaptation to your go to. I don't even mind the RB at CB argument here as that isn't exactly effective in real life, but yea I'm going to play more defensive and counter attacking if you are exposing your defense like you are. It's football and to adapt to situations isn't ruining the game just because your method isn't working. I'm not going to let your 6 attackers destroy my back 4 because it works against other opponents, or commit to tackles because you like skill moves that work against that. All I am addressing is to know the difference between exposing your attack as opposed to some buff in the game. [link] [comments] |
