Something I wanted to say... Posted: 09 Apr 2021 04:18 PM PDT FIFA 21. It's a game. We purchase games to have fun, so why do we not have fun when playing FIFA? Countless times people worry about saving coins, losing coins, saving fodder or getting a better or worse rank in FUT Champs. Just wanted to remind you all to have fun. You have 500k? Go spend it on a player you want to use! Don't worry about EA tax or the player's stats not looking the greatest. Just go and have fun! Think an sbc is a "scam" because someone on twitter says so? So what!? Just use the players you want and have fun! Score some bangers, play free-flowing football and stop yourself from seeing the game as a fodder simulator. HAVE FUN BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT GAMES ARE FOR. I don't really care if this get upvotes or not but if it helped even one person have some more fun playing the game, then this post can be seen as a success. In all my years of gaming, I've NEVER played a game where user input has mattered less than in Fifa 21 Posted: 09 Apr 2021 03:39 PM PDT We got skill moves that literally slows down your defender no matter if you read it or not. You constantly give away penalties even though you weren't even controlling the defender who gave away the pen. Try putting your controller down and see how well your defenders still defend and get onto every shot like you're still playing. There should have been a player pick sbc where you could choose between 5* SM and 5* WF Posted: 09 Apr 2021 05:12 AM PDT These player pick sbcs where you choose between two version of the same player have been a great addition this year, I know in most cases there has been a version that is all round better, e.g. the CM Curtis Jones was a better card than the LM version. But it gave people that choice, and this would have arguably been the best opportunity. There's plenty of people like me out there who don't really do loads of skills so 5*WF would have been better and then people who love skills where 5*SM would have been ideal. It may not have fit with the player for each FUT theme they were going with but in these past few days where that has dried up they could have had a player or two with this choice, an identical card where the only difference is one is 3* 5* and the other is 5* 3* or something like that. Do we really need 4 different versions of each icon? Posted: 09 Apr 2021 04:50 AM PDT This is something I have been thinking about for a while, and while some may disagree, and I'm hoping to open up a healthy discussion here but why is there 4 different versions of each icon? These are players who have great history in the game and of course deserve the recognition by having an icon card but in my opinion it would make it more special if there was only one version of each based on the player's legacy not based on different points in their careers. I understand it would make it a lot harder to pack them but it would also be more special if you did pack one. When the PIM icons hadn't been released I honestly hoped they weren't coming because I think three different versions is already too many. I understand this may inflate the market value of icons but I also think it would be more special having an icon if this was the case. This may be a controversial opinion but I'd be very curious to hear if any of you feel the same or if you like the icon set up the way it is and if so why? Some players are obviously better at it than others, but they are all capable, like how finesse shots can be done by anyone in the game. It seems like every time I play against these people their players never gas out, they're always 1 pass away from getting in behind, there's always a defender 1 step away from me.........I mean there's 0 consequences for people who play this way. Unpopular opinion: the FIFA community are generally really nice Posted: 09 Apr 2021 06:13 PM PDT My girlfriend saw a few of my messages come through and said to me "the FIFA community are really nice". I said she should see the other messages. But it got me thinking that I constantly read online about how 'toxic' this community is, but I have actually had loads of really positive interactions after games this year. I generally start lots of conversations with a 'gg' message, match replay-skipping with the opponent and give the win if I need to leave mid-game, so I'm sure that helps. But people seem to increasingly be skipping replays (in Div 1/2 anyway), 95% of people I've played have been doing golden goal for Swaps and loads of people have helped me with objectives. Don't get me wrong, people still send a fair amount of abuse and dance around with Neymar, but I think the community has generally been really nice this year . submitted by /u/Sorry-Meringue [link] [comments]
