    FIFA eSports should be Pro Clubs rather than FUT

    I mean just look at it. FUT is controlling 1 player at a time, abusing AI mechanics, and is mostly RNG or luck. Pro clubs (it would be 11 a side, so no AI players) requires communication, cooperation, coordination, skill, teamwork. NBA 2k does this, and it's much better than FIFA's eSports. Plus it is a lot cooler IMO to be a part of a pro clubs professional team, like being for example Bayern Munich's virtual Starting Goalkeeper than to be one dude with a FUT team. Now I know EA would never do this because Pro Clubs doesn't make them money, but still. Just an idea

    The icon content this year is simply not good enough.

    We re already in the 8th month of the cycle, when are they planning to give us the elite icons?

    They even skipped 2 weeks where they could had released Garrincha, Kaka, Eto'o or Matthaus.

    It wouldn t have changed the market that much because there are so many alternatives in the game, but the option is simply not there.

    It s like they re intentionaly trying to steer their customers away.

    There s no icon that will make me spend my fodder i get from whatever pack or pick i open.

    What s the point grinding this game anymore?

    I played this game, for the first time in January. I am so old, like 46, I really wanted this player, I made my way from div 9 to div 5, and I am pretty sure I can get to div 4.

    Everyone moans about this game, but I love it. I feel like I am making constant progress. Slowing down. Looking for space, just so good. We will go from 11 to 14 wins in WL and nobody will stop us. Because we want to play the game and have fun. Here's to the people who enjoy the game.

    Ultimate Team is the most competitive game mode without actually being competitive at all

    Think about it. What can you actually win in FUT? More players for your club? There are no tournaments, no trophies, not even proper promotion/relegation in seasons any more. You can't watch your players lift a trophy of any kind, but they will celebrate any goal after the 85th minute like its the World Cup final. Even draft mode says '4 in a row' rather than draft wins. So what are we actually playing for?

    I know the rewards are better for rivals these days, but back in the day we had seasons, tournaments etc, things that you could actually win. I don't see why we can't still have champs and rivals but also have a variety of different tournaments, knockouts, mini leagues etc that actually have trophies to win, even a club trophy room to keep track of the different ones won shouldn't be too hard to implement. So why not?

    Imagine ranking real life teams around the world on 'skill points' rather than titles, european cups etc. And all teams just playing the same competitions week in week out with nothing to actually win but the possibility of more players & money. It doesn't really make any sense.

    Offical: EA doesn’t want us to pack crazy ligue 1 tots

    We didn't get a Ligue 1 specific non-repeatable pack sbc so far and I think the reason is that there is 100% that we would get 2-3 tots in a 84+ pp. Come on EA, it's june. Give us a chance to get a crazy tots player.

    The fifth star skill move actually hurts this game more than it benefits

    The fifth star skill moves makes this game closer to fifa street than fifa. I used to play fifa in 2012-13 and the fifth star wasn't that broken and your player wasn't turning on himself like he's a clown in a circus. Some move are a nice addition, others are completely broken and unrealistic.

    Even more, it makes players with five star skill move on a clear different level than the others. In real life, five stars skill move aren't that important. Except very few players who actually uses skill moves, some players who have 5 stars SM in fifa doesn't seem to use skills that much in real life. Mbappe or Mane doesn't seems to rely a lot on SM in their play-style. I don't know how they did got one. Back in the day, exceptional skillers would have the 5 stars SM (Ben Arfa, Taarabt, CR7...), know they give them to players to make the game more balanced (each league must have some 5 stars SM players...) because it has become very important.

    Finally, the gameplay rely more on skill moves than other basic element of football (placement, accuracy, pass, etc.). And this is what, in my opinion, makes it bad. Just look at the UCL final we just had, how many ball roll, La Croqueta, and skill moves was there? None. However, i do believe that some skills must remain, but the gameplay shouldn't revolves around it.

    Don't have anyone to share this with since none of my friends play FIFA, but thought it was worth sharing.

    I usually play 6am-8am most days, and this weekend I only got to 10 wins, with my usual win one - lose one pattern.

    Came back from walking the dog at 6:30am, first I just wanted to reach S1 for automatic qualification, but went on to win 5 in a row with 2 rage quits which I was counting on to help me fit in most games.

    Now it was the last half hour of WL, 20 mins of which I wasted playing a guy who I knew I probably wouldn't beat, but chanced it and lost to a 90th minute goal (better than wasting time on ET in my opinion).

    Found another game, and I knew I could only get G2 if this guy quits within the first 20min and I win the last game. Luckily he quit after the first goal, and after trying to find an opponent for good 2 minutes, I found one with 15 seconds on the clock to go. For me it felt like a cup final, it was an intense game which finished 4-3 and the whole experience has been like a rollercoaster.

    Playing MLB The Show has nearly ruined FIFA for me...

    I was really into The Show from 16-19 but a friend of mine introduced me to FIFA and the quick matches just felt so good compared to the full 9 inning games I was playing so I switched.

    After 3 years of G3 finishes every weekend, I'm finally realizing how crappy the content and just overall experience is.

    In MLB I can an offline mode to grind for a top tier player and it won't cost me my children's love. In fact, my 11yo son and I have our own teams and he's grinded it a higher rates squad than me!

    I love the live cards along with the loyalty upgrade and I love that there is so much content that I never feel like I'm outmatched.

    Also...Server problem? Have a ten pack and 2 top rated player picks- one being the equivalent to an icon.

    It's not a perfect game, but it's just not that hard of a decision when it comes to being more bang for your buck.

    I'm going to keep playing FIFA, but it sure is nice to not only play FIFA.

    Who else I have missed out on in terms of cheap SBCs?? I haven't played since January I suppose but I clicked it out of curiosity and was shocked that he only requires an 81 rated team! (plus a totw)

    I can use him for swaps and fodder.

    TOTS Lukaku is the most fun card I’ve used this year.

    I got him from a player pick last week. Wasn't really excited about it. I had seen the brilliant stats, but knowing the game I thought his body type and height would still make him unplayable.

    How wrong I was. I've used Eusebio and Pele upfront all year, put Pele out wide to fit Lukaku in. Lukaku absolutely stole the show last weekend.

    Right of the bat, yes he does not have the Elite dribbling that Neymar, Mbappe and all the other META players have. With an engine he felt similar to my Eusebio, just a little bit less responsive. But he makes up for all of that with his shooting and physicality. The man is unstoppable in front of goal. Absolute rocket of a shot. Great positioning inside the box, and heading is good, especially useful to whip in some crosses to him when opponents use small fullbacks at CB.

    His pace in combination with his physicality is actually great too. I did not expect him to be that fast, but once he gets going he's like an unstoppable train. Also directional nutmegs are just broken with this guy, he uses the pace boost he gets to ram players out of the way like they're nothing.

    Scored 74 for me in 38 games and 18 assists (DIV 1 SR 2200 / E3). As someone who's been primarily focussed on using the META body types and players. I'm blown away by how much fun Lukaku is to use. I can definitely recommend using him if you want to try something different. The stats really don't lie on this one

    Got downvoted a month ago for suggesting it wasn't coming, is not surprising considering the complete disregard towards Libertadores cards this year (No promo at all) but still pretty disappointing that EA considers the Chinese and the Saudi leagues more worthy of a TOTS team over Latam.
