    Hello /r/FIFA!

    Welcome to the Nominations and Voting Thread for our first ever Best Of Awards.

    We as a Mod Team thought it would be nice to celebrate some some of the quality activity that's gone on in our subreddit over the last 12 months - and let's face it, despite what can seem like a constant sea of negativity there's a few waves of good here and there. Plus, it's nice to have a bit of positivity on the front page for a change.

    The voting categories are as follows:

    Overall User of the Year

    Post of the Year (serious)

    Post of the Year (humorous)

    Most Helpful Post

    Goal of the Year

    Each winner in the above categories will be given a Reddit award. The categories below will not be given Reddit awards, and are just for fun.

    Best FIFA Mode

    This post will serve as the nomination and voting thread for each Best Of category. There will be top level comments on the below post for each Best Of category. To submit a nomination, reply to the appropriate comment with a link to the post or comment in question. For those who may be unfamiliar with the concept of a Year End award, eligibility for an award started January 1st, 2019, and ends today (December 19th, 2019). This means that posts/content from both FIFA 19 and FIFA 20 can be nominated.

    Keep the following in mind while nominating a post:

    • Submit nominations only as a reply to the relevant top level comment, as other comments will be removed to keep voting simple.

    • Don't nominate your own posts!

    • Don't nominate posts made after the creation of this thread.

    The nominations will be set to contest mode, meaning that all comments will be sorted randomly and no scores will be displayed until the winners are announced. Should anyone not believe the final vote for whatever reason, I will take a screenshot of each winning nomination before the winners are announced at a date to be determined, but most likely mid-to-late January.

    My unlimited coins story (FUT ‘13)

    Just a short story about my time in FIFA 13 where I found a legitimate way to get unlimited coins.

    It all started in FIFA 12. My friend brought it over and I watched him play a few matches, then we ran to the local GameStop and I bought a copy for myself. As soon as I got home I dropped 75$ on UT before I had even played a match. This continued and I had spent about 1000$ by the following Christmas. That Christmas my parents bought me the Christmas edition of FIFA '13. (BTW, I had been living on my own since '09').

    I loaded up and entered my Christmas edition code for 1200 FIFA coins on my Xbox 360. Fast forward a month or two and my buddy comes back over to play. He had a sweet team so he loaded his account on my Xbox so I could use it. Then... "hey where'd those 1200 FIFA points come from?"

    It dawned on me. Xbox codes shared across every account on the Xbox. So, we were just happy he got a free 1200 coins. Then, the next day we had a revelation. New accounts + 1200 coins + trading.

    We spent hours a day making accounts. I even paid my wife 5$ per hour to make fake accounts for me while I was at work. See, for an Xbox 360 you didn't need a real email to make an account. Anything with an @ symbol would do.

    Then TotY players released. We had been making HUNREDS of accounts, opening packs, trading for instant-sell value, and then trading the coins to our mains. By the time it was all said and done we had garnered TotY Ronaldo's and Messi and every other card worth having. I'd like to say over 50,000,000 coins were earned. After we bought the cards we wanted, I sold the rest making a profit of over $5k to coin selling sites.

    And that's my story.

    Oh, and I still lost almost every match. The "you still lost with blue Ronaldo" messages still haunt me.

    I looked for years online and never found any other mention of this method. So I wanted to share.
