Posted: 07 Jun 2020 11:24 AM PDT So I had one last game to get gold 3 (yes I know it's not great but I'm not great and already had two disconnects when I was two goals up...) Am comfortably leading 3-1 in the 70th minute, and starting to relax. Just then my cat who is asleep in front of the tv stretches out and with one outstretched paw, turns off my Xbox. Don't think I've ever seen him move so fast when I start shouting... We are friends again now - it's only a game after all, and I would have only packed some ROW shite in reds anyway. Matchmaking needs to be re-worked so badly next year. How is this even considered a fair game? Posted: 07 Jun 2020 06:29 PM PDT |
Posted: 07 Jun 2020 03:36 PM PDT I relate to this a lot, I can't remember the last time in this FIFA where I've used the same tactic for longer than a week. I remember last year I used the same tactic and mostly the same players for about 3 months. [link] [comments] |
Rest of World TOTSSF coming tomorrow Posted: 07 Jun 2020 10:04 AM PDT |
WHAT IS THE GAMEPLAY RIGHT NOW Posted: 07 Jun 2020 02:36 PM PDT I've never felt this much lag it's absolutely unplayable. Skill moves don't register. Passes go in the opposite direction. Players take 5 seconds to get the ball under control and turn. I'm stuck in mud. Can't move, can't run, can't build up play. Trying to push for elite in this gameplay is genuinely torture. This is the only game where you can't ever be sure of your skill level, even after one year. Posted: 06 Jun 2020 11:49 PM PDT You can't use Rivals as a yardstick because of the shitstorm that Objectives have caused in that mode, where 70% of the players are in a Div that they don't belong. I was in Div 1 and 2 last year and this year I've bounced between Div 3 and Div 7, where I'm currently am right now. Sucks to be the guy who doesn't do Objectives. WL is even more ridiculous. Half the time you're unsure if you've won a match because you were really the better player, or because your opponent got shafted by the lag. Half of your games are lost by shitty connections and players exploiting the mechanics of the game. Last week I ended WL with 22-8 and this week 11-19. Same team, same tactics and formation, in fact, I've faced worse teams and players this week compared to the last. Based on my Rivals Div and WL finishes throughout the last 9 months, I genuinely have no idea if I'm even a below average, average or above average player. I guess that's what makes this game unrewarding for me. Not because of the red picks I get or whatever SBCs EA chose not to release. Does anyone feel the same way? [link] [comments] |

How I’ve won 5/5 penalty shoot-outs this WL. My in-depth guide: Posted: 07 Jun 2020 07:10 AM PDT I thought I'd share my step-by-step routine for taking penalties because I've found games to be much tighter this WL, I still have 7 games to go but I've already had 5 penalty shootouts. So I decided to try something different. This mainly revolves around using your player turning his head to your advantage. From my experience I would say that at least 70% of players know about this trick, and will dive in the direction that your player looks. Therefore I figured this can be used to your advantage pretty easily if you can make every single kick different. 1) First penalty is key for figuring out if your opponent is trying to read you or not. They'll either dive the way your player is looking, or they'll dive the opposite way thinking you're going to trick them. I always aim left/right and slot it low down the middle, no one has stayed middle for the first pen in any of the shootouts I've had so far. 2) Second penalty is where the mind games start. Most opponents at this stage will have figured out and concluded that you're not going to aim the way your player is looking. So what I do is I aim exactly where my player is looking, usually high-power bottom right/left, and I can almost guarantee that the opponent will dive the opposite way. If he manages to dive correctly, it's extremely unlikely that he'll save your shot. It's your 2nd taker who likely has great penalty/finishing stats, so they're not going to miss if you aim correctly. 3) Third penalty is where your opponent starts thinking "what the fuck is this guy doing?!". I feel like this one is open to interpretation, anything works for this one because your opponent has no idea what you're going to do next. The one thing I won't do is the same thing as Step 2 again, because your opponent might assume you're going to shoot the way you aim from now on. My favorite move for this one is to aim central, and shoot the same way as you did in step 2. Your opponent will likely dive the opposite way because you haven't shot that way yet. Another option is to aim the same way as Step 2 but move to the other side at last minute. 4) At this stage you should have 3 goals, and hopefully you've managed to save one of your opponents kicks. This could potentially win you the game. Your opponent is sweating at this stage, so taking this penalty quickly is key. If you take it quickly, your opponent won't have time to piece together any kind of pattern to your kicks. Do the exact same as what you did in Step 3 because it'll be the last thing your opponent will be expecting. If you Ajmer central and went right, do it again. If you aimed right and went left, do it again. 5) This will likely be the winner unless your opponent has scored every kick so far. The key to this one is to take as long as possible. Take between 5/10 seconds to aim. Aim right in one of the bottom corners, this is key because your taker won't be as good as your first few, and could possibly miss if you aim top corner. Your opponent will see you taking absolutely ages to aim bottom corner, and is probably thinking to himself "this asshole isn't going to trick me again, he's obviously going the opposite direction. In fact, he could be going down the middle again like his first penalty". Some people might think that your opponent will dive the way you're aiming, but I can almost promise he won't purely because you've fucked with him so much he's too afraid of you messing with him again. He thinks you're going to trick you and he doesn't want that to happen. So what you do is shoot the exact way you've aimed, the same as Step 2. Some people might think that this is very complicated for a simple penalty shootout, but for me it's almost guaranteed me Gold 2 instead of Gold 3 for the first time. Before this is used to panic too much, I would've won 2 or 3 out of 5 max. This will be helpful for anyone who's pushing for a higher rank, because it could be the difference of 2 wins instead of 2 losses. The first 2 steps are the most important in my opinion, once you get inside your opponents head you can pretty much do whatever you want from there on. I've memorized the exact same 5 kicks fairly easily, which has lead me to winning all 5 shootouts. That definitely isn't necessary for everyone to do, id rather help someone pick up a tip to score that last penalty, or even just on how to make your shots more unpredictable. If you can make every single shot unpredictable, your opponent won't save any of your shots unless he randomly guesses, which the odds are very slim for. I hope this can help a few people out, I'm only sharing this because from what I've seen a lot of this community complains about losing every penalty shootouts, or they've missed their rank because they lost on penalty's. For the record, I don't even time my penalties, so those who do probably have an even better chance of scoring each one. I think it's something that not a lot of people would've thought about improving in order to reach a higher rank in WL. Thanks for anyone who's taken the time to read this, I hope it can help you out. [link] [comments] |

People who quit at 0-0 in champs are scum man Posted: 07 Jun 2020 05:31 PM PDT Had this happen to me 3 times and I'm only halfway through my games. Battering at 0-0 And they quit. And the very next game I get matched against someone way better. Not fair at all tbh. [link] [comments] |
