    Make Draft Token SBC Weekly!

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 01:37 PM PST

I thought this was genius and brings forward the most enjoyable aspect of FUT. No set meta formations, access to good cards for casual players, semi-tournament format, overall less sweat and some strategy involved.

rewards are most of the times not good for the registration cost unless you are getting 4-0 consistently and have some luck, but it being a weekly SBC of similar cost for the token where we could dump those forgotten players in our club could make this really good.

update - it was an Objective, not an SBC. but the idea is the same.

    Any thoughts on Alessandrini?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 08:56 PM PST

Does the average body type affect its dribbling? Heard some people said he is clunky.

Any players you would say comparable on dribbling and responsiveness? Neymar? Salah? Dembele? Or just inaki Williams?

How is it compared with 83 Rodrygo?

Record Breaker and Flashback cards should have an extra tab like Icons do

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 04:48 AM PST

The Record Breaker and Flashback cards should have an extra tab like icons do explaining the record they broke with some information, stats or key moments in the record being broken, or the reason for the stats around the flashback. Would just add some nice information about those items in the game

I am jealous of other people

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 04:16 PM PST

Weird but I am so jealous of people packing awesome cards left to right. My pack luck is non existing. 3 ultimate packs? Let's give this guy three times in a row an 82 as the highest rated player. 83+ upgrade? Let's give him 3 83's and give him back the cards he put into the SBC. 81+ pack? Lets give him 6 81 rated cards. Icon SBC? Let's give him Vieri 2 years in a row.

EA just give me one good card, that's all. Is that so much to ask?

Does Market Manipulation Work to make coins?!

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 06:32 PM PST

Probably not the most effective trading method but one that has made me loads of coins without really trying!

Here is one example of a player i bought 100 of at a low value to see if it works and also to see if there was a weird reason why!

Each method I listed 3x just because I didnt want to hold for longer than 3hrs.

    Player : Consigli

Firstly I bought 100 consiglis at 650 coins (knowing this card lazies at 800)

    Risk level: 1/10

I listed each card at 1.5k with every 5 cards having one card at 1.2k and one at 1.8k

    60 @ 1.5k 20 @ 1.8k 20 @ 1.2k

List 1 result: 15 cards sold

    6 @ 1.5k 1 @ 1.8k 8 @ 1.2k

    Then i relist the cards!

List 2 result: 19 cards sold

    7 @ 1.5k 2 @ 1.8k 10 @ 1.2k

Then i list the remaining (66 cards at 1k each)

List 3 result: 31 cards sold

Then remaining items i got rid of instantly @ 700 coins each (35 cards) as the lowest bin was 800 coins i actually had a mind blank lol but we still made coins!

Total profit after EA TAX resulted in 42100 coins!

I have tried this out with a few other players like:

    Ruffier Doherty Quaglierella Johnny evans

So this method does work but obviously its not the most effective way of making coins and as a content creator I hope this helps someone out and aids them make some coins without having to put money in the game!

The reason I do use this method from time to time is because it is a great way to make coins without actually being on the game!

    My concern about icon swaps

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 11:22 AM PST

We are pretty deep into the game cycle and swaps are bound to come out soon.

So I'm worried about the tokens being divided into two separate seasons like last year.

I hope EA will allow people to grind for all of the tokens at once if they want to and not make them wait like another month to get an icon.

Just want to thank EA for turning Ultimate difficulty on Squad Battles into an absolute slog-fest.

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 07:26 PM PST

Back when you had single player divisions I used to enjoy playing against the AI as a change of pace and to play against something you know isn't going to be the 'meta', maybe play a bit of possession and try some long shots or something.

Thanks to the new 'AI's will play like the "best pro" FIFA players' it's no longer feasible. It's just exactly the same as rivals and WL, only defending against which random skill moves the computer will throw against you with a hyper-boosted slider Troy Deeney rather than the usual suspects of Rashford and Neymar. Managed to get Top 200 this week on PC so my target is done but why anyone would continue to put themselves through that monotony willingly I'll never know.

And another thing, maybe instead of just giving players massive boosts in stats and adjusting the sliders it would be great for this billion dollar company to maybe spend some time on developing a decent AI to play against. I get there has to be a difficulty curve but surely it's possible to implement this without making it boring as fuck to play against.

Got 3 Di marias, 1 Veratti, 9 yazici inform, 3 marcelo inform and hundreds of duplicates.

If anyone was thinking of doing it, dont. You want tha mbappe or neymar but trust me the pack weight is absolutely abysmal... It was a massive waste of time and ended up uninstalling the game

A review of the level 15 reward player Andrés Tello: a box to box beast

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 07:20 PM PST

For some background, I'm a division 6 player so nothing special. I was absolutely thrilled that they gave a Benevento player a special card. And Tello? Even better. This man was a key part of my FIFA 19 career mode and his silver card bosses the RB position in my silver squad.

Role: Tello plays a box to box CM paired with OTW Partey in a 5-2-1-2. Partey stays back and defends while Tello is everywhere. His tactics are all default with the exception of getting in the box for crosses.

Chem style: Gladiator. With my tactics, this CM gets a good bit of scoring opportunities. I felt gladiator was most beneficial as it gives him a +15 finishing to 81 and beefs up his defensive stats.

Stats: 13 rivals games, 9 goals and two assists. Im 10-0-1 in my last 11 games with him.

Pace: He's quick, 89 acceleration and 88 sprint speed. As a CM he blows by everyone, and the pace really helps him pop up everywhere on the pitch.

Shooting. 81 in both finishing and shot power. While he is not your guy to rip longshots, but this man will put away chances inside the box. He surprises a lot of people by speeding into the box and ripping shots. Pretty decent at finesse shots and a threat on crosses.

Passing: It's 82, it gets the job done, does this stat even matter that much?

Dribbling: 91 agility stands out and the 84 overall dribbling is nice. He definitely does not feel clunky. He only has 3* skills which doesn't bother me, but may bother other people

Defending: Gladiator boosts his defending up to 82 overall. With his pace he is a great player to use to manually defend. 90 interceptions is also nice.

Physical: 92 stamina and H/H workrates, this man will literally run forever! He also bodies people with his 88 strength.

Overall: Absolutely phenomenal player, I'm not sure how he is only 82 rated. His fills my CM role perfectly. My two previous players in his spot were Nainggolan and Eriksen. Nainggolan couldn't finish and Eriksen couldn't defend. I feel that Tello is a nice blend between them but with pace, lots of pace. I would definitely recommend him if you run Serie A players in your squad. Could do nice hybrid with him, RB Cuadrado and RTTF Muriel.

82+ player pick re released (non repeatable, 3 options to pick from)

"Fuck the counterattack" - the tactics.

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 05:19 PM PST

Hello, do you finally feel bad for just pressing "y" or "triangle" and hoping that the ball gets through so your striker gets a 1 on 1 without any effort? Do you enjoy sitting back, only controlling Kante while the opposition has the ball for 95% of the time?

Well today we are going to try some new tactics I hope you can enjoy. Maybe a bit different, but in my eyes pretty fun.

    Today's formation: the 4-4-1-1. Possession.

Defensive tactics: pressure on heavy touch. (Punishes longballs)

Width 5-6: I always create one formation with 5 width and one with 6 width. Why you ask, people love running the sides. With 6 width your fullback will always be in their path. When your opponent doesn't use sides the whole time, you play on five. If he never gets a pass in that channel, you can even go to 4-3.

Depth 7-8: I hope most of us have 80ish paced defenders at this time. So just go for high depth. 7-8 is great for me. Doesn't offer to much space for the opponent to go to. Is also great for people who pass around the box, because your defensive line pushes up instead of downwards.

Offensive tactics: possession (we are in control now)

Width 5: bog standard I know. If you feel to narrow ig you can use the hug sidelines dpad tactic to create more space on the sides.

Players in the box 4: too many people just keep dropping back and running circles with their cdm's around your attacking players. Make sure your players don't just stand all in their defensive unit.

Corners 1-3: how do you feel how your ability is on corners. Do you score many or none. None is 1, many go for 3.

Free kicks 2: no need for 3 ever. Just take a shit or pass around.

    Player profiles and instructions

ST: someone with a broken bodytype or someone stronger than the average player on the pitch. Ronaldos mbappes are great here. Give them the target man instruction, that is all.

CF: False 9. This player is good with the ball on his foot. He plays off the striker and creates play. Main attributes are dribbling and good passing, this boy needs some skillmoves!

RM-LM: flick the stick left a lot in the instruction menu. Come back on defense, cut inside, get in behind, get into the box for crosses. These guys are fast and agile. They are a goal threat but mainly will be used to widen the pitch. If your opponent gets overrun, a long ball from one side of the pitch to the other can get them in 1 v 1.

Defensive cm: your high Def medium attack player. He stays behind to clean up. When playing an opponent with a ccam, give him manmark, no ccam, use cut passing lanes. Let him cover the center.

B2B / offensive cm: your other cm, just give him cover center. This player is pivotal for your team, he is the main creator of everything together with your cf. Most important for him is having decent passing. He often has to switch play between left and right and he will be your assist king. Normal cams with defensive presence see great here, de Bruyne, Bruno, FB Witsel, modric. All are great here.

Full backs: just stay back. Nothing more, nothing less. Need to have decent pace. Skillmoves are also a plus but not needed.

    CB: leave them untouched.

GK: comes for crosses, sweeper keeper. Does it change something? Nobody knows.

    How you play:

Just build up from sides to middle. One big tip: sometimes dare to just stand still in the middle of the pitch, so you can clearly see the runs of your players. Your offensive cm and CF will intertwine somewhat. When the press gets heavy, pass to your strong striker or to your CDM/CB. Use L1/lb for your players to run at the opposition. Often people will manually track the run. This is a moment to just look at the pitch and find different possibilities. Using L1/Lb is essential though, otherwise almost no runs will be made.

When one side lost space, square it to the other side. And build up play again. Your striker will pull people in and out and your cf will find pockets of space in front of the defence. Mainly make one attacker run, get it to your passing cm/CF and look for the late run. You'll score plenty this way.

Under pressure make use of the cm, winger fullback triangles. Once you get out of their press, your cf will be asking for the ball.

    Defending

Never pull out your defenders too much, but try to break down counterattack while covering the passing lane. This will slow the game down for your midfield to easily catch up. Most balls you will win with your cb's stepping up though, if you are used to manual defending. Of there is q hole between midfield and defence, don't be afraid to use offside trap dpad.

So these are some tactics I enjoy right now. It is pretty balanced and gives you time on the ball. Hope I can help someone to find their playstyle. Good luck everyone!

Any news on the David Beckham Icon Stats?!

    Posted: 30 Nov 2020 01:22 PM PST

Is it just me or did EA not state they would publish his ratings by Nov. 27th?!

I know there have been leaks with his stats, its just weird how EA deals with something they themselves have said they'll be going to publish at a certain point in time. One shouldn't be surprised anymore I guess...
