    EA adds a friendly mode where they reward you just for playing the game with some fun silver skillers and what do people do? They just rubber-band the controller because all they care about are the rewards. Ultimate team has become worse than some mobile games. I feel like 50% of the community are just pack-addicts who don't care about the gameplay. Good job EA, you successfully lobotomized your player-base

    500,000 coins missing from my account

    Today I woke up to 500k coins missing, yesterday I had 630k, today I woke up to roughly 130k. I have screenshots that illustrate the discrepancy.

    - I have attempted to bid on players over 200k to see if it is a visual bug, it is not.

    - I have not bought any players for this amount accidentally or intentionally.

    - there are no unfamiliar players in my transfer list, discard pile, or club

    - nobody other than me has my account details

    I've created a ticket to speak to an EA representative, i am cynical about my chances. Does anybody here have any tips re: getting this resolved. This could spell the end of the game for me.

    SBCs, costs & comparisons. (*Long Read)

    Unsure exactly how to structure this but I wanted to raise a few points against the context of the St Juste SBC and really get a discussion going where we can all look at some of these themes in a way some of us maybe haven't before.

    Firstly, I've done the St Juste SBC- do I think its brilliant value or hes a faultless 'endgame' (cringe) card... nope. Was I bored of my backline and could fit him in on 10 chem due to club captain and mr dependable Ronnie Koeman (91)- yep. Ronnie plays mainly in midfield btw other than as a ball playing CB in a 3-5-2.. but I digress.

    St Juste has flaws & is very reasonably argued to be a little overpriced, although cost compared to the other Birthday SBCs he isn't in my opinion (other than maybe Palacio).

    It seems to me fairly obvious at this point EA are slowing the power creep down this year in comparison to last year (not in comparison to FIFAs before that). My personal view is a lot of the community have expected more Mbappe level players from last years Birthday event, unrealistic when considering the creep demonstrated throughout this year. He was also several million coins, although of course tradeable.

    Klaiber comparisons- Again, fairly obvious to me this particular SBC was an outlier, and basically a balls up. This card was too cheap and too good for the time it was realised. I completely agree this was due to EAs determination to screw investors on Dumfries as others have said. Kent was a similarly OP card last year although I think that was due to a combination of stats that EA didn't think through rather than any other reason.

    As is often said, this game has a limited timespan, so forever waiting for a great value endgame card is depriving yourself of enjoyment now (let's not get into the gameplay not being enjoyable here, you get my meaning). When comparing this with the creep and waiting for the value to power outliers. You may find yourself basically forever waiting. It wouldn't surprise me if this year's TOTS are weaker comparibly to last seasons for the same creep based reasons.

    A point to consider when considering 'value'. We are given the opportunity to obtain more 'fodder' by simply playing (again not looking to discuss stupid objectives here) than ever before. Therefore comparing costs to old FIFAs when fodder was much harder to obtain in whatever way is not a fair comparison.

    Have you done many of the party bags so far? You could have done so many squads for SBC players with those players. Its a little odd to me to scream 'too expensive' sat there with your 83 Podance and 82 Elvedi that cost you minimum 20 84s and 4 83s... not to mention the team of the week element.

    I'm not seeking to defend EA, and everything I've said has been said before, but the echo chamber of hate on today's SBC motivated me to post.

    My aforementioned 91 Koeman is still very dependable for me in Div 2 and achieving g2/g1 in weekend league. Most the community consider that card dead and unplayable. How many of you are truly the elite players for whom the perfect spread of stats and most completely META are absolutely essential?

    Consider that perhaps EA are looking to provide a selection of cards to appeal to different groups within the community and not just you in your endless pursuit of the next rank, whichever it may be. Also consider did your last META upgrade really upgrade your rank? If it did, it was probably at least in part you improving as a player and not the card, now take that mentality into all you Fifa decisions and you might just have more fun with it.

    EA should release Icon packs based on nationality for Icon Swaps 3

    For instance, 18 tokens for a Brazilian Prime or PIM Player; 17 tokens for Dutch Prime or PIM Player; 16 Tokens for French Prime or PIM player and so on.

    I know we are not getting an SBC for top tier Icons so at least reduce the pool of players we can pack to a certain nation.

    I think we can all agree that Icon Swaps 2 was super underwhelming so the next one is make it or break it for me.

    The 'Release the Keepers' friendly has just shown how bad keepers are at actually being keepers

    I'm using loan base VDS in net for this game mode and he hardly saves anything. He is playing against fucking goalkeepers on at best 3 chem (so their already shit shooting stats have a minus on them) and he just flaps around whenever they have a shot. Bar open nets he should be saving almost everything they do, he shouldn't be letting a near post shot rolling at about 0.5mph roll past him. In most other game modes I do think 'well it was a good shot from a striker so what can I do' but here i just think 'how the hell have you not just picked that up'. I know this game mode would be hell if they were playing realistically (the way round that would be to have to play an outfield player in net) but it's just exposing how little effort EA put into coding this game.

    P.s. It also exposes how assisted shooting can be, keepers should be absolutely dogshit at shooting but they seem to have bronze or silver level striker finishing at least

    I've been having trouble scoring lately, up to a point where i scored 1 goal in 3 matches.

    My problem is that i get stuck around my opponents box. I just cant seem to find my way trough. So what do i need to look for or accompagnie in my gameplay to improve?

    I do try the crocetta, fake shots or even the directionall meggs, but i either bump a defender or i move so slow i get cought immediately.

    Im really lost here, and the lack of understanding my error is starting to frustrate me up to a point im loosing my enjoymend of this game. So really all tips are most welcome

    If EA allowed us to store duplicates, we could afford multiple high end SBCs with zero coins/points spent just by grinding.

    This is why EA can't let us store duplicates. The way the game is set up right now, you have to either discard your duplicates or put them in an sbc otherwise you can't open any more packs. This means you have to atleast spend some coins/points to complete sbcs.

    So please stop asking for a duplicate stock pile, its never going to happen.

    PSA: Premier League, Ligue 1 and Saudi league SBCs expire tomorrow

    These SBCs expire tomorrow (Wednesday) so now is your last chance to have extra packs to open before FUT Birthday ends. I wouldn't recommend doing these SBCs from scratch (buying all the players). But if you have most of the players, give it a shot or if you're close to finishing one make sure you finish it before they are gone and reset. The best value packs are listed below.

    Premier League (Ultimate Pack - 125k)

    Premier League is still expensive given how much West Brom can be to complete. But with new golds added in Ivanovic, AMN and Yokuslu, this SBC isn't as bad as before, but strikers are still very expensive and one of the silver CBs and CMs. Still, you get the "best" pack in the game for finishing the whole SBC. Leeds and Wolves may give you some problems as you need some silvers and bronzes which can be expensive but they aren't too bad. Individual packs mostly give golds too so you can throw them into upgrades or sell for a profit.

    Arsenal - Premium Gold Players Pack (25k)

    Chelsea - Rare Electrum Players Pack (25k) - Only 5 Chelsea required

    Liverpool - Prime Gold Players Pack (45k) - Only 5 Liverpool required

    Man City - Mega Pack (35k) - Only 5 Man City required

    Southampton - Jumbo Premium Gold Pack (15k) - Under 8k to complete

    Ligue 1 - Jumbo Rare Gold Players (100k)

    Ligue 1 is farily easy to complete compared to the other major leagues and you get a 100k pack in return. The segment that can be expensive is Stade Brestois but isn't too terrible. Lens and Lorient require almost all silvers or bronze but none of these segments are nearly as expensive as West Brom or Cadiz. Most of the segments give mixed or electrum packs and are decent value if you have the players.

    Bordeaux - Jumbo Premium Gold Pack (15k) - Only 4 Bordeaux required

    Lyon - Rare Electrum Players Pack (25k) - Only 6 Lyon required

    PSG - Mega Pack (35k) - Only 6 PSG required

    Saudi League - Prime Gold Players Pack (45k)

    The Saudi League is pretty easy to complete given how many of their segments require 4-5 players from their respective clubs, you can fill the rest with Saudi bronzes. You can pack most of the players from bronze packs, only a few of them require silvers but they're pretty cheap anyway. The packs from each segment are mostly silver packs, which can be used for extra profit or for finishing other SBCs.
