    Career Bug - Even if you don't care, PLEASE help my try get EA's attention before FIFA 22.

    I know, it's Career. Most of you probably don't even play it. But for years i have been enjoying Career Mode, mostly couch co-op with my friends. And i don't even know how they manage it, but especially for couch co-op there is a massively annoying bug which could probably take 1 hour of work to fix...

    The bug: If you are playing couch co-op, for Player 1, the selected "side" (i.e. which team you'll be controlling) will always be the team you chose to start the career with. BUT FOR PLAYER 2, YOU HAVE TO GO INTO SETTINGS EVERY. SINGLE. GAME. TO SELECT THE RIGHT SIDE (Player 2 is "neutral" every game again).

    This has never been the case with any other Fifa and is just massively annoying. Especially since, even on the PS5, the menu's are still sluggish as shit.

    AND YES: I did report the bug to EA. Guess what? Never heard anything again. Please, help me try to get their attention, even if you don't even play Career Mode. But what the hell are we even talking about here? This was something always in the game, now it's not. How long could this possible take to fix? 1-2 hours for maybe even an intern or something? Please EA, just make it so that the selected side will save for both/all players again!!! For reference: check the code of Fifa 20 or literally any older one. IT IS THERE ALREADY :)!

    Was originally going to go with the PP, but after seeing a post on here a couple of days ago regarding the value of all the possible pulls from it, I'm having second thoughts.

    Obviously the big positive is that you get a choice from 3. I feel if I take the two packs, I'm bound to get two stinkers. Although, I'd then have 2 icons rather than 1.

    What's everyone else going for?

    I've seen tons of people being scored on while in the pause menu, but never anyone on the other side. It happened to me, my opponent paused the game after I scored first in One League, and nothing changed. The 40 second countdown began at the bottom of the screen, but I was free to play. I tried kicking the ball out, and his AI automatically threw it back in, and then I scored another goal just to experiment, and nothing changed still. Once the 40 second timer ran out, my game froze. I stayed in the match with my screen frozen for about 15 minutes until it kicked me out, and it ended up counting the game as a W and giving me credit for the goals. I stopped touching my controller for a while, so I assume it kicked me for inactivity, but somehow it still gave me credit, unlike a normal DC/forfeit. The guy turned off messages so idk what he saw. Odd experience.

    Weekend League Recap - 5 Day Old Fresh Club

    Hey guys, thought some people would find this pretty interesting. I've always been an XBOX player since 2010, but got a PS5 and have been playing FIFA 21 on PS5 since February. I never even started my club this year on my XBOX.

    I decided this week to try something fun - booted up my Xbox, got FIFA 21 and decided to try to see how well I could do in Weekend League starting Monday with a completely fresh club and competing in WL the same week. Pack pull only - no buying players from the market except to complete SBCs etc.

    For reference I am a Gold 1 player with a couple Elite 3 finishes on Playstation with my main team.

    We play a 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow in game with Hazard and Gnabry at striker. Yazici subbed on at CAM. Eriksen and Zakaria LCM and RCM respectively. Pep at CDM. Defense is the same as the squad picture.

    As you can see - I was actually able to build a pretty well rounded team for 5 days. Obvious weaknesses are regular gold fullbacks. (But we all know what Mendy is capable of).

    The cards came from the following:

    Lucas Hernandez FOF and Eriksen FOF - Objectives

    Gnabry FOF - Guaranteed FOF SBC Team 1

    De Ligt FOF - Random Prime Electrum from Europe milestone (!)

    Zakaria FOF - 83 x 25 Icon Swaps Pack

    Thorgan Hazard FOF - Regular Player Pick

    Yazici FOF - 85+ Player Pick

    Pep Moments - Prime/Moments Brazil Spain Germany Pack

    After Rivals placement matches got placed in D3. Managed to get promoted to D2 Friday night and absolutely grinded to qualify for Weekend League before entry closed. Super busy weekend because of work and fathers day - so I only had time for 8 games Saturday night and then the remaining games would have to be squeezed into Sunday night.

    Weekend League - Here we go!

    Game 1: W 7-3 Good warm up.

    Game 2: W 4-1 Guy rubber banded 24' faced TOTS CR7 & TOTS Neymar. No match for Pep Guardiola and the boys

    Game 3: W 4-1 60' RQ

    Game 4: W 4-0 28' RQ

    Game 5: W 6-2 68' RQ Directional nutmeg spammer "TIKI TAKA FC" nuff said lol

    Game 6: W 6-1

    Game 7: W 8-4 Big comeback from 4-3 down

    Game 8: W 4-3 (Extra Time) Another comeback down 3-2 in ET - Stamina is a huge issue especially with no decent subs

    End of Saturday session. Have to say I'm surprised to be 8-0 but starting so late in the weekend means I'm definitely playing lower ELO players and people underestimate me because of my team.

    Sunday Session - Starting at 930PM. This is gonna be a tough one - 5 and a half hours until weekend league ends. Going to have to grind big time to get to a decent rank.

    Game 9: W 6-1

    Game 10: W 6-5 Unbelievable comeback from 5-1 down. Good opponent, but he started messing around at 4-1 thinking I would quit. Never gave up and the boys pulled off an incredible comeback to make it 10-0!

    Game 11: W 4-2 Another tough one ELO definitely kicking in now.

    Game 12: W 6-4 Another comeback from 3-2 down. These boys just don't quit. We're the underdogs and play like it - never give up!!

    Game 13: L 3-2 It had to happen eventually... Close game - I choked several 1v1s and paid for it

    Game 14: L4-2 Close game again. Level of opponents is getting exponentially tougher.

    Game 15: W 6-3 Big comeback from 3-1 down. We bounce back!

    Game 16: L 5-3 Red TOTS Neymar singlehandedly destroyed me.

    Game 17: W 3-0 19' RQ Needed that.

    Game 18: W 4-3 Crazy EAids this game. The guy was gifted 2 breakaways from directional nutmeg bounce backs. We persevered and got the W.

    Game 19: W 8-5 85' RQ - HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEKEND. Comeback from 5-0 down! Was super close to quitting - but decided to fight for it and my opponent let his guard down after being up 5-0 and the boys were clinical with just about every attack in the second half. 8 Unanswered goals. Huge win.

    Game 20: W 1-0 5' RQ. Clinched Gold 2 17-3!! Starting to get tired now its past 1am at this point. But I have to push on and see what happens.

    Game 21: L 3-2 Tough one. Good player. I was up 2-1 and let him back in the game. Eusebio was tough to deal with.

    Game 22: L 2-1 Not having decent subs is brutal at this stage.

    Game 23: W 4-3 De Ligt 91' header for the win!

    Game 24: L 3-0 I quit at halftime. Two AI conceded penalties where I didn't even press the tackle button. Almost 2:40am (WL ends at 3am for me) at this point and I just have nothing left. We're calling it.

    We finish 18-6 for Gold 2 and I'm super proud of the team. We fought against the odds and finished better than we ever could have predicted. If I had been able to play my last 6 games I think I would have comfortably finished Gold 1 but we just ran out of time and energy.

    Quick stats from 24 games played:

    Serge Gnabry FOF - 34G 18 A - Really solid player, enjoyed using him. Bonus goal of the weekend - weak footed chip from insane angle. https://imgur.com/ymCCrnf

    Thorgan Hazard FOF - 29G 24A - Always in the right place and has that sticky dribbling - but sometimes his shot power would just come off as almost nothing. Not sure if that's lag or my controller or him but looking forward to a potential +2 upgrade for this coming weekend.

    Yazici FOF - 19G 19A - Really solid stats for being subbed on each game at CAM. Unfortunately no upgrade possibility and I don't have any Ligue 1 links so he will most likely become a sub once I strengthen the team a bit.

    Dark Horse - Moments Pep Guardiola. Honestly really enjoyed him at CDM. He's very solid as a stay back CDM and with shadow his pace isn't terrible. Fantastic defense and passing. He was the anchor of my midfield for these 24 games.

    Where to go from here?

    We will push forward this week and try to strengthen the team. Should hopefully have a +2 upgrade on both De Ligt and Hazard at the least for this coming weekend. Will try to do as many SBC's as possible this week but fodder is tough to come by since I'm not spending Fifa points and I have literally no liquid coins in the club. If I can get to D1 the extra 50k would be big for the club.

    Obviously the full backs are a weakness and dream red picks would be TOTS Davies or TOTS Cuadrado. After that Zakaria and Eriksen are probably who I'd look to upgrade next.

    At the end of the day this is a pack pull RTG so we'll see what the game gives me!

    All in all I had a lot of fun and a refreshing change from using the same meta players on my main account week in and out.

    TLDR: Started fresh club with absolutely nothing on Monday - qualified for Weekend League by Friday - finished 18-6 for a solid G2 finish with 6 games to spare (ran out of time). Had a great time trying some new players I would likely never use on my main account.
