| EA missed an opportunity for some great Showdown cards during the Euro/Copa knockout rounds Posted: 07 Jul 2021 09:32 AM PDT I think we can all agree that showdown SBC's are one of the best types of content in this game. Given these knockout rounds are probably the last opportunity for them this FIFA, it would have been a decent way to give juiced up cards to some of the players who aren't likely to get a performance-based card. There could have been a Calvert-Lewin/Poulsen showdown for tonight for example. I know I'd much rather drop my fodder into one of these than one of the constant casino SBC's that EA seems to love dropping. [link] [comments] |

| FOF Vinicius is the best attacking player I’ve ever used in FUT... Posted: 07 Jul 2021 06:48 PM PDT Have been playing since '14, and been fortunate to play with some outstanding attackers during that time, but this FOF Vini card is something else. His pace is obviously outstanding but the finishing, especially the power he hits shots, is just something I've never seen from other cards. I can't see how the upcoming +2 makes the card even better, but I'm excited to try it. I honestly don't think he needs the 5* wf, but if he gets it I'll take it. Disappointed that we don't seem to be getting the elite icons this year via SBC but honestly, none of them would take this Vini's place, he's that good. [link] [comments] |
| Can someone explain Icon Swaps to me? Posted: 07 Jul 2021 09:45 PM PDT So I am a casual FUT player and I took a long break this year starting around November, just got back into it. So I understand Icon Swaps allow you to complete objectives for cards that you can then trade in the various sets. My question is basically that it seems like 9 are available right now. Were there other rounds that I missed to get more tokens? In essence, am I right that I won't be able to get more than 9? Or are there more coming that would make it worth saving them. Or am I missing some other way to get them? If I missed them I missed them, just basically want to know if I should spend what I get or save. Thanks. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 06 Jul 2021 10:09 PM PDT Just curious here, a more frequent update would give the owners competitive edge for matches ie in WL or rivals. Sometimes the real life match finished but we still have WL matches to complete, if upgrade were done than that would give the added bonus to the owners. What does it take to upgrade a player? I imagine the roadmap of player progress already there (ie +1 or +2 in case his team won whats gonna be his rating) so the question was a matter of go ahead. Any comments or feedback? This is about a trend I've seen regarding packing players that are highly desired by most of the players in the community. [ I'm a casual player with average skills, floating around div 5 in PC. Also, I don't play WL and haven't spent a single FP, so these stats may be meaningless to most good players who get to open a lot of packs. ] I've packed a decent amount of meta players, but they seem to repeat for my account. For example,
On the other hand, I never packed some lower-value/lesser-meta player once, not even a Gold version. Never packed Messi (almost fodder price now) and Eden Hazard. Nor did I ever pack other meta players like Mbappe (was cheaper than Neymar in 20), CR7, or any Icon. Does this happen to anyone else? Do you keep packing the same meta players over and over and wish that you could have packed someone specific, albeit having a lesser value? Are there some conspiracy theories about correlations of specific players with an account? TLDR: I keep packing the same meta players but never pack some others, makes me wonder about how random the pack weights really are. [link] [comments] |
| As a low level player, how do I get better? Posted: 07 Jul 2021 04:16 PM PDT Division 8 player here. Really only play online versus. I'm able to beat players that are newer, but once I run into people who can effectively dribble and and run offense, I'm completely out of my league (which you wouldn't think you encounter in D8, but I do…) Any general tips? Ive changed my camera angle, edited setting and all of that, per youtubers suggestion… Ive even compete the skill games but they don't translate to actual online gameplay hardly at all. I'm SO DONE with horrible passes that aren't even remotely near where I should be passing to. Just very frustrated. I hope the sub can give me some words of wisdom before I give up entirely 🙏🏻 Edit: thank you all for the support… I really needed this tonight, so it's given me more peace than you can imagine… I am not a FUT player (good lord, if I was…) only online versus, which is certainly different than most players.
